NET user commmand

I used the command "net user and password for PYTHON" where PYHON is my user name. After that, even if I'm in the right password I am uable to login.can someone please tell me what to do so that I am able to connect again

I have it.actually that the password has been set as "password". because in the highest commnad 'net user password PYTHON', the last word is the password.so 'password' is the real password here.

  • Impossible to change the password with Net User

I don't know if I ask this in the right place, I'm new to the community of answers. My environment is mainly Server 2008 R2, I asked the Admins who are unable to use net user to change their own password to a high command line. I checked their permissions and they have two buttons and change the permissions on the user object.

Using of "net user [username] * / Domain" they always get access denied, it works if I give them full control. Is there permission miss me except change and reset?

  • "Net User" command truncation

I'm in the XP command window, using "net use /domain ' command. The results on screen or if I pass the results to a file is truncated. Is there a work around for this issue?

Yes.  This helps a little.  Now that you point this point, I see the same condition on my machine.  I can't believe that it is a limitation of the "net user" command itself.  If you want the full name of the groups, you will probably need to use the Active Directory administrative tools GUI version.

  • Problem with the command net user. Please help ASAP!

What is happening on Windows XPI logged on as administrator on my computer, then in the command prompt, I typed: net user administrator active: / Yes (and pressed enter). After that I restarted the computer, I can not connect, and was my password (password). Please help me as soon as POSSIBLE. Thank you!

Your syntax is incorrect for the command "net user".  You probably wanted to enter the command:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

The syntax of the command 'net user' (according to this article) is:
net user [Username [password |]] *] [options]] [/domain/domain]

All options begin with a forward slash character (/)

By omitting the character "/" before "active:", you have probably changed the password of user 'Administrator' in "active:" or "active: / Yes" depending on whether you entered a space before the 'yes '.  Try to connect as an administrator when you enter that as your administrator password.

  • Probem connection after you use the command net user

    Hi all

I have 2 accounts on my Windows Vista PC. Administrator (the built-in account) and the user account that has administrator privileges. I ran the command:
    > net user administrator /active on
thinking it would activate the administrator account and post it on the Welcome screen. It returns "command completed successfully". Now that I am trying to access an account, I get an error of inconsistency of name of user and password.
I don't know what the part "/ active on" the command has been understood. I tried like password, but it didn't work.
    Any ideas?

  • I have a problem with the active WiFi Seagate GoFlex TV Media Player asking for a net user ID and a password.

Original title: Net User ID & Net password

After the upgrade from Vista to W7-64 CV, I have a problem with an active WiFi Seagate GoFlex TV Media Player asking for a "Net User ID & Net password" to log.  I used all imaginable combinations of IDs & passwords, but they all lead to logon fails. I'm almost certain that it is a W7 security problem because others with the same players who went to W7 face the same problem.  I found many supposed fixes online, but none works.

I am aware that MS W7 works as it should and Seagate is not their problem, but if anyone can recommend a change of security to help this issue, I guarantee a pass towards the sky.

PS: All the sharing, etc. continuously.  are installed as they should be.

The only reference to Net User ID and password I can find is on page 46/47 of the User Guide. If this is not the user name and password of the Windows account that you want to share files with, I don't know what it is.

I guess patches that you tried to include those that are mentioned here:

    http://forums.Seagate.com/T5/FreeAgent-theater-and-GoFlexTV/logon-fail-home-network-Windows-7/TD-p/70540

I would have suggested the registry change.

It might be worth checking that you have the latest firmware, just in case.

See the documentation provided with your Seagate. If not, look on the web site of Seagate. It is not a Windows 7 problem... If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog

  • change of administrative password through back command net user

    Hello

I created myself as an administrator on a windows operating system 7 and my child is able to bypass the setting that I put on their use using the dos command "net user" the _ what to think Microsoft having a command where things can be changed anyway?  How can I block this "net user"?  System is not secure

The problem isn't with Microsoft, but with you. If you give your child account of administrator privileges, then they can change any password, regardless of the method, it uses (GUI or console command). If you want access to his account at restricted then must downgrade to the level of an ordinary user.

  • How can I check if a user belongs to a certain group of field and see what are the permissions that the user has on a specific group "administrator, user and guest"?

I can't check in a group of area if a user is "administrator, user and guest.

I'm using labview 2012 in the windows domain.

I think that there are tools. NET to resolve this, but could not yet.

Attached a file that checks if a user belongs to a group in the area, but without the information of privileges.

In the past, I used the command line.  Use ' Net User % username / Domain % domain % ' to get information about the user.  Actually, I don't have the right to see the other commands, so I don't know how it works now.  .NET looks more elegant, but I never used it for that.

  • How to get the full username by the user windows login name?

    Hello.

I need determine the full username by the user Windows logon name. Where are many ways to determine the logon user name. For example application property node App.UserName or % variable %username% in cmd. But I found that one way to determine the full username by connected on behalf of the user - command net 'user' in cmd. This way is very slow and requires a huge code (I do get logged in user name, check if the connected local user or domain, create the command net 'user', find in output full username).

Is there a simpler way without using cmd?

PS, Full user name is displayed in the Windows logon screen and on the start menu and can be different from the name of the user.

  • The user profile Service error

I got the error message saying that the operation has failed, I found instructions to fix, but it is the administrator account that is corrupted how can I fix the user accounts?

    Hello jedboston,

Since you can not log on with the administrator account on the computer, we should see if we can in safe mode and if not proceed from there. Try, follow these steps.

    1. reboot your computer and press F8 multiple times until you see a menu similar screen, if you see the Windows startup screen, then repeat this step
    2. highlight and press enter on Mode safe mode with command prompt. Try to connect to it. If it still does not work, proceed to step17
    3. If you are able to connect, once the command prompt appears, type: net user administrator password / active: Yes (you can specify the password for the administrator account.)
    4. If you get a message "the command completed successfully" and then restart your computer by typing: shutdown - r
    5. start again by pressing F8, but this time choose just the SafeMode.
    6. you will be able to log in as administrator with the password set in step 3
    7 hit (windows logo) + r.
    8. type regedit
    9. once the Registry Editor opens, search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
    10. in the left pane, find the one that begins with S-1-5... and ends with. BAK; If you can't find one, go to step 15
11 right-click and click Rename, and then change it. TO BAK. BK
12 right-click with the same numbering but without the. BAK and Add. BAK add at the end
    13. right click on the one that you have renamed in BK and clickRename, remove the. BK
    14. Subsequently, you have activated the. BAK to the end of the second entry in the first. That should probably fix your problem.
    15. If you do not find one. BAK then try this: open Explorer Windows for C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Application data
    16. If you find an other Application Data below the one you are on, and then delete. Who should probably also solve your problem.
    17. If you can not log in Mode safe mode, restart and press F8 until you see the menu again, and then press enter highlightingRepair your computer
18 wait for all the Windows files to finish loading, then hitNext when it asks for the language of the keyboard.
    19. try to connect here also, choose your username in the menu drop-down, type the password, then go to step 23
    20. If it still doesn't work, then if you still have your Windows installation CD, put it in, and then restart your computer.
    21. press F12 until you see a menu of boot options, choose boot from CD
    22. the language of the keyboard and then click Next. Find repair your computer for a little below the center-left.
    23. choose Open command prompt and type: net user administrator / Active: Yes password (here again you can specify a password)
    24. close the command prompt and click on restart and go to step 5

  • I have 7 user folders in C:\Documents and Settings and a single user account. How can I assign the right folder to my account and get rid of the others?

Recently I got a video card break down. Repair technology installed a new and created a new Documents and Settings folder, which is now using my user account. I don't want these settings, I want the 'old'.

Please write the command NET USER (at a command prompt) and report the output of the command.

To find out what profile folder the user uses the command DEFINE the USER.

To get a list of all users and their profile folders use the script VBS here: shows all the SIDS of the user with the path to copy and paste the script (in the box) to a Notepad file and then save it with a .vbs extension and run it.

Set up your computer so that it uses an automatic connection, and when you get to the login screen just enter the user name and password of the account you want to use, and you should still be able to open a session with him.  To change the automatic logon settings type control userpasswords2 in the box run from the start menu and select (put a check mark) the option "users must enter a user name and password...". ».  If you use the 'Welcome' screen, you can press Ctrl + Alt + Delete twice to get the login screen and you can then enter the user name and password.

To remove an unwanted user account and its associated user files use the applet in the control panel user accounts, don't forget about your actions before you delete a user account and its files, it is a one-way street and destruction will be permanent.

  • How can I remove hidden user

Have an Aspire one that came with Win 7. Listened to MS and don't the 'Upgrade' to win 10. Living with a persistent problem of a user 'Jeffrey', it was on the PC before we got it.

When I turn on the PC Jeffrey appears as an initial user, but we do not have the password so I have to select a second user.

Have worked to try to disable or remove Jeffrey but the command net user does not show a user with this name.

I have traced down in the registry under Winlogon this user, but still have no way to delete this user.

Even did a reset of the computer, but that does not remove this hidden user.

I really want to clean win it 10 OS thus created a USB startup key. but I'm hesitant to try a new installation that I read of others having problems with an installation clean attempt to win 10, but lose the key or having activation problems.

I don't want to really not just delete the Winlogon key as I don't know what else needs this info.

Jeffrey seems to be related to the field PC Acer so think Jeffrey is something that acer is responsible.

How do I remove Jeffrey so I don't have to click before him whenever I start the PC?

Write it down OR user aCER pc GOLD jEFFREY introduce yourself WHEN I RUN COMMAND NET so normal USER commands will nto work.

I gave up and installed the USB clean
