New configuration of PC for Photoshop CS5 and 64-bit Windows 7

Hello

I just bought a new PC (with the budgetary limits) with the following configuration:

8 GB of RAM DDR3 (1600 Mhz)

1 HD 1 TB 7200 RPM (WD)

Processor 3.00 Ghz i5

GPU MSI 630GT 1 GB DDR3

After reading many documents on the web, on the use of several physical hard disks for the use of Photoshop CS5 (I work on the lrage, 300-800MB files), I wonder if my current conifguration with only 1 HD (1 to) is "strong" enough for my needs?

How many partitions and size preparing setting up my PC?

If I was able to pull another $ 100 what should I expect? Another HD for Photoshop scratch disk? or maybe an SSD?

Appreciate all the help I can get.

SSD is the path to high performance in modern systems, but $100 do not buy a lot of an SSD.  You can save a little while and get a 256 GB of high performance drive (ideally more).  It is quite big you could make your drive system and Photoshop for zero access point home as well and maybe even keep work in progress that you make about it.

View on configuration of the systems (for example, ' the value zero to your system drive"'") does not really apply with SSD storage, because there is no latency with an SSD.

What kind of SATA connections offer your new PC?  Ideally, you have SATAIII (6 gigabit), that would really be able to enjoy a good SSD.
