  Hi, I'm not completely computer illiterate, but I'm not great at it by all means.  But I can follow specific instructions, Ha.  I just wanted everyone know that up front.

  Hoping someone can help.  For some reason, my new fonts, I tried to install on my Windows Vista computer started trying to open it with Photoshop instead of Windows Font Viewer.  When I would go to right click and install after extracting, I would notice the icon of the file showed "PS" instead of "O" or the "TT" that used to be there.  Then he would say he could not be opened in Photoshop.  SO I tried google search and fix it on my own.  I have somehow, it made to where I can't even pull up files.  When I click on the zip file below to open them, they try to open the Windows Photo Gallery!  I can't yet see.

  So, I did the Panel-> programs-> default programs-> associate a file type or Protocol with a program and I changed all the FTT and Open Type fonts will automatically open with Windows Font Viewer.  But when I went back to try to install another font, he always tries to open with Windows Photo Gallery.

  I hope someone can help me.  I use this computer for work and am having need of a certain font to download to a client.

  It seems that the file you are trying to download can be containing the virus and because of that your antivirus is deleted.

• The option 'Install new font' missing from the file menu.

  I did a "search forum" and has not found the solution to my problem, so I apologize if it's here somewhere under a different title. I looked on the microsoft site itself, as well as Google search. Here's my problem:

  I am trying to install a new font, but do not have the option in the file menu of police record. It's just not there. I am running Windows 7.

  For those who overlook the obvious like me, once you download a new font, open it, and there is a button 'install new font' just there. Yay!

  I use Photoshop CS6 on my work computer and it is not recognize everything I download a new font. I've tried troubleshooting on mine, doing a number of things, including erasing cache of my mac system fonts, upgrade from photoshop and my other apps from Adobe via Adobe Bridge, turning off font preview in photoshop, removing any invalid fonts/verification of all policies are valid in the font book and restart my computer / software. The last thing I found to try is manually insert fonts in ~/Library/Application_Support/Adobe/Fonts, but I can't seem to find this folder, the only ones I can find are ~/Library/Application_Support/Adobe/FontsRecommended and ~/Library/Application_Support/Adobe/FontsRequired.

  Some time, a single user had problems with some Korean fonts. We could not see them by the PrPro Titler (very similar to that of front). I couldn't get them in Ps, HAVE InDesign or another. However, we found very similar Korean fonts, which worked perfectly in the Titler - but not those that the user has downloaded. Some fonts are simply not written in such a way that Titler can use - sometimes they just do not appear (I have plenty of those), sometimes they won't display (Gets an empty boxes and I have a lot of those too) and sometimes the police is corrupted to the point that Titler will crash only when they are installed. Fonts can be tricky little devils.

  You can find one that is quite similar to your needs, by another Foundry? That would be my first course of action.

  Im a graphic designer, but I have a lot of experience in the use of multicultural policies. I'm currently working with Thai police in ID CS5

  and im having problems by copying and pasting the fonts in word or outlook in ID CS5. When I copy on the cordia new font

  is not consistent with what looks like the word. Some characters are not correctly copy on. I tried to use another

  the fonts that was DokChampa, which displays correctly the problematic characters, but then the police displayed other characters

  wrong apparently. Im going to have to work with the Chinese, Arabic and Korean police later on the track too.

  Does anyone have advice for this problem, perhaps a different Thai font type that works well to copy - paste?

Of course, they cannot be typographical issues able to spot, because that requires actually training you get no typical tuition. I quite often correct my tongue staff and contractors of translator pro on issues of typography in Chinese, Arabic, and so on. However, your colleagues to ensure readability, which we all two really need out of our layouts, right?

  I can help you to set up a decent set of tools for the manipulation of these languages - I've worked on a basic howto with a bunch of links, but it's pretty far down on my list of tasks.  You can use a variety of templates & scripts to access multilingual hidden InDesign, functions which the world-ready composer is the most important. However, the most comprehensive solution costs a bit of money. If you can squeeze a hundred dollars perched on a budget somewhere, then buy Tools of world or World Tools Pro will make money for you a few days, if you make more than the minimum wage in the United States. Seriously, this is the most effective of money I've ever spent in this career, top hand. (The Pro version is absolutely necessary if you want to make Japanese).

  If you download a demo, you can use it to activate the WRC on your Thai text. Or, you can follow the first link in a Google search on "World ready composer" to blog about Thomas Phinney; you will find a few scripts that are named as if they are useful only for right to left languages, but if you open these scripts in a text editor, you will see that some of them attribute the WRC and nothing else. That, at least, get your Thai to dial correctly.

  I downloaded and installed the fonts you mention. I was able to find it in the list of fonts within Photoshop Elements, however, it does not appear in the list in alphabetical order. This is the way down at the bottom together with some Japanese fonts. This has something to do with the way in which the police is coded.
