  I do not use the new iTunes so I can't test anything.  You've always been able to convert AAC AAC; for example, when wanting a lower bitrate copy.

  About the 12.4.3.1 new iTunes update, how can I do my playlists display in list view? I used to be able to in all previous versions.  I looked in the menu bar, and this option presents itself.  I use these list views for my radio show and need to locate this option as soon as POSSIBLE.  Any ideas?  Thank you.

  I just find the answer - I am went to display in the menu bar, and then seen as, and then select the songs.  It helps for playlists, in any case.  I'm always a little trepidatious when it comes to new iTunes updates.

  Just spoke with Apple 17/05/16 Support 15: 40 EDT.  According to the technical support, the option "Reset plays" has been removed from the Version 12.4 by design and should not be sent back to this or later versions.  Guess I'll try and find a 3rd party that supports this option.  Thank you APPLE for thinking about your users.

I copied the .itl to the new itunes folder. I also tried holding down - from itunes shift - select a library. Any ideas how to be able to see the songs in the itunes on the hard drive folder in the itunes library?

  See make a library of portable split. Have you copied the correct .itl file, or should you connect an external hard disk .itl file? If you can find the correct .itl, it should have all your songs and playlists. See the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library when the library has been altered for the first time with the new system. If you have to start creating your new library in an iTunes folder to the root of the external drive and move all the media inside... \iTunes\iTunes Media before adding to the library.

  I think iTunes might be showing your iCloud music purchases. Go to the menu bar, and unselect display-> show iCloud music purchases.

  Media preferences are not what you think. Change said iTunes simply to memorize new media at this location. This is the file iTunes Library.itl tells iTunes where your media. If you use the same external drive (and these are the two Macs) copy the old iTunes folder form computer to the same location on the new computer and it will start with the old library.

  By design, iTunes syncing is generally in one direction, from the iTunes library on your computer to the iPod.  You cannot transfer files from song from iPod to computer (via iTunes), with the exception of songs purchased on iTunes Store (because iTunes can check the property).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something as 'ipod transfer music', you should get a few useful links, including a CNET article on the subject.

  Once your music files on your disk, add them to your iTunes library.  After the confirmation that all your songs are there, you can synchronize your iPod as you wish.

  Why did you create a new AppleID?

  You can't transfer purchases to the new AppleID.

  You can update old AppleID if you have the new email address.

  Just copy the entire folder/iTunes / / Music from PC to Veronica on your Mac.
  That's all you need to do.

  Thanks for your help.  Unfortunately no idea worked.  Windows Installer 4.5 is not good for Windows 7.  However, I was able to restore my computer to an earlier date and the previous itunes was there.  It still would not allow me to access without security clearance, but I finally understood how to afford access - I am the administrator and the only user - go figure!
