  Thanks for your help.  Unfortunately no idea worked.  Windows Installer 4.5 is not good for Windows 7.  However, I was able to restore my computer to an earlier date and the previous itunes was there.  It still would not allow me to access without security clearance, but I finally understood how to afford access - I am the administrator and the only user - go figure!

  The thing in your download folder is a "disk image". You must double-click it and it puts a white 'disc' on your desktop. It should also open a window with a Firefox icon and your applications folder. Then you can drag it to the applications folder. When you're done drag this disk to the trash.   When you have uninstalled iTunes, did you only use Control Panel > programs and features, or did you follow the instructions here--> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204275

  If you uninstall everything as described in the document, and then do the installation should work.

  What exactly did you download (link to download the site, please)?

  As far as I KNOW, you are unable to download iOS in a file that you can try to run on a Windows computer.  Instead, you must download and install the latest version of iTunes: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ , then you can update your iPhone via iTunes iOS (unless you already updated "over the air").

  What version of iTunes is currently on your computer?

  • Start iTunes.
  • If you don't see the 'Menu bar' (which shows file edit view controls let you store), click the arrow in the top left corner of the window and select "Show the Menu bar."  Once you can see the menu bar, click Help, and then click "about to iTunes".

  What version of Windows you have, including the service pack?  Do right click my computer and select properties for info.

  Having Windows 7 64 bits should not affect your ability to download contect for any game.  If you have upgraded your PC from XP to Windows 7, you may want to uninstall\reinstall the game and then try to download\install the additional courses.  If you have a problem to download, check that your firewall or antivirus does not download.  You can perform a clean boot , and then try to download.  If there is still a problem, you must contact EA support to see if they have alternative download sites to try.
