new windows download system

so long story short: I'm building my own computers, and as such, I legally buy the OEM version of windows through different providers. Recently my computer crashed, and I can't find my installation disk. no problem right? go to digitalriver and I'm good to go. Well, since microsoft has removed with digital river and now only allow downloading from their site, I discovered that OEM product keys can be used to download an ISO. I called technical support, tried to communicate my problem to the technology, but all she said was "Contact the manufacturer of your computer" and could not understand that I am the manufacturer. Is there something she was absent or Microsoft seriously done this to those who build their own computers?

Windows 7 is released in 2009

OS X Snow Leopard is released in 2009

It's almost 6 years. If you need get a recovery for a version of Windows 7 OEM media, you would normally contact the manufacturer, in this case, it would be you.

    Hello

Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.

There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.

Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.

Microsoft sells more than 7; Try Amazon.com.

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

  • Brand new Windows 7 system: battery plugged in, not supported

I just got a brand new Acer Aspire 5542-1462 with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed. I have almost exclusively while plugged operated. Battery in the notification area icon indicates that the battery is at "97% (plugged in, does not support)." How can I get the battery charge? Is there a threshold above which it does not load? Some features of the system if they will help you:

    AMD Athlon II X 2 M300 2.0 GHz
    4 GB OF RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card
    battery Li-ion 6 cells

My power profile is balanced with the only change so that everything always remains that plugged while. This is my first Windows 7 machine after years with XP, so I am new to the operating system. I searched around the internet and here and can't find anything.

    Hey,.

    This is how it works:

    1. When you turn on your laptop, if your battery is more than 95%. you will get the message "connected but no charging current.

    2. When you turn on your laptop, if your battery is less than 95%, you will see the message "blocked and charge" until the battery reaches 100% (not 95%). That is why sometimes, even if you see that your battery is at 97% and load, this means before starting your laptop, the battery was less than 95% and reached 97% since then.

Apart from the above explanation it seems some problems with the mentioned error. So, try the following steps as well.

    1. click on Start and type device in the search for field, and then select Device Manager .
2 expand the category of batteries .
    3. under the batteries category, right-click in the list of Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and choose Uninstall .
WARNING : do not remove the Microsoft AC adapter driver or any other compatible ACPI driver.
    4. on the taskbar of the Device Manager, click on Search the hardware changes .
You can also select Action > search the hardware changes .

    Give that a try!

  • The difficulty to install QuickBooks Pro 2002 on my new Windows 7 system.

I managed to install the program, but when I try to start it, I get a runtime error message!  Program: c: Program Files (x 86) \Intuit\QuickBooks Pro\qbw32.exe.
This application has requested the execution in an unusual way.

    Hello Elizabeth,.

What I see on the Quickbooks site, only the version 2007 upwards has full support for Vista.  Since version 2005 and before you had to use compatibility mode to work properly.  So you can either try the compatibility mode to see if it works.

Right click on the executable, select Properties Quickbooks.  There, click on the Compatibility tab.  Use the drop-down list box to select XP SP2 or SP3 of XP.  Use the box and select run as administrator.  Click OK.  Now, try to run Quickbooks.  If this does not work then Quickbooks 2002 is not compatible and cannot run in XP Mode or buy an updated release of the product.

    Kind regards

  • If I change my hard dsik which would mean I have to buy a new windows OS / if not then how can I solve the problem?

I would like to change my HDD without having to buy a new Windows operating system. And I'm not sure if it is possible or not.

The motherboard is not defective, correct?  If you override to 'improve' the unit and the original motherboard is not defective, then, Yes, you will need to purchase a new license.  You've essentially created a new machine.

In this case, you will need to purchase a new license.

Since the motherboard contains the processor and is "the heart and soul" of the PC, then replacement of the motherboard (for other reasons than to default) a new PC is essentially created. The system integrator original manufactured not this new PC and cannot therefore be expected to support it.

In this case, you can use the original license:

If the motherboard is replaced because it is defective, you do not need to purchase a new license of PC operating system as long as the replacement motherboard is the same make and model or equivalent/replacement by the manufacturer, as defined by the manufacturer warranty of.

  • How can I transfer old Roxio Creator 2009 Version in New window and make it work

I am trying to use a version of Roxio Creator that is in the oldWindow program in my computer with the new window on the same computer program, but I don't know how?

    Hey Nilo,

You cannot just transfer programs (this one or any other - with a few very rare exceptions) operating system from windows to another.  They must be reinstalled (assuming they are compatible with the new windows operating system).  If compatible and you still have the original file on the old operating system, then copy to the new operating system and install it.  If you have a CD, and then just install it in the new operating system.  If neither, then go to Roxio and see what they current have that you can install the new operating system (or look for another program that does the same thing if you don't like the options of Roxio or none are compatible).

Also, you can use the programs installed in an operating system when you are logged in the other operating system on the same computer (so I guess that it is configured as a dual-boot system).  It might be possible in some network configurations with some types of programs and operating systems supported on different computers, but not in the scenario you describe.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • I can't download to work - it does not copy the mp3 files to my location (as defined in tools/options) - it gives me a new window with a player - no dwnlo

I am running windows xp sp2 and I put my site to dowload under (Tools/options), but when I select an MP3 file to download, firefox does NOT copy the file to my location of choice on my HD - instead, it opens a new window with a 'player' of fortune and starts to load the player with the MP3 file. The problem is that I have no idea where on my system, firefox has copied this file, so, I can't leave and come back later and read this MP3 file using winamp. I need to hear right then or lose - if I close this new window (with this puny little ' player'), then I lose the download, there where to put firefox on my PC (I have no idea where it is). It's all under firefox 25.0

I also use FIrefox 12.0 on an older windows 2000 machine and that works perfectly - I can download any MP3 file, I want to, and downloads of firefox 12.0 (on win2k, sp4) to my location (on my HD), and it gives me the download window so I can watch its progress and have some control over break and resume , and, when it's done, the download window offers me the option 'open containing folder' so I can make sure that where I wanted. In other words, Firefox 12.0 on WIn2k, sp4 works better than firefox on winxp sp2 25.0! What gives? I went through and set up my options for XP just like I did with Win2k and everything looks good, but firefox 25.0 don't know just my chosen and always default place to give me fortune player and I am not able to actually copy the mp3 files on my hard drive - it's firerox almost unusable 25.0 since downloading mp3 files is a big part of my use firexfox - please help. I am not able to upgrade windows at this time, and since firefox 12.0 still works fine on win2k, I do not understand what has happened to firefox?

Hello littleberry, you can click on the link that leads to an mp3 file or right click on the drive in firefox and choose to download the file like that...

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.
