How to transfer bookmarks Firefox (of hundreds!) of a Windows XP PC to a new Windows 7 PC
Firefox is the default browser on the existing system of XP, and we intend to use it as a default value on a new Windows 7 system.
I expect that Windows Easy Transfer system would be OK with bookmarks to Internet Explorer, but may have some traps and pitfalls for Firefox users.
Is there a transfer procedure that is known to work for Firefox bookmarks?
Bookmarks > show all bookmarks-> import and backup - Export HTML... - on a USB
then
Bookmarks > show all bookmarks-> import and backup files on this USB - import HTML... -

Hello
All your personal stuff is stored in your Firefox profile. Here are the instructions for the backup of your profile, and how to transfer it to another computer:
https://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/backing%20up%20your%20information
You'll want to save your profile on the old PC, then follow the instructions under "Restore to a different location" on the new PC.
I hope this helps.

Need to transfer my Firefox (ver 26.0) user names and passwords from old mac running os 10.6 to new mac running OS 10.9.1. I can not even find a file for them on the old mac.
What you can do is to go to the
Mozilla Add-ons Web page
and see if they work on your system;
FEBE- This will save your modules in case of difficulty,
- and put back you them easily.
- This will save the module and user settings and can restore them.

How to transfer music from my sd card to windows media player?
All my music is on my sd card, how can I transfer it starting from the profile for Windows Media Player?
Several different ways:
One way is to put the SD card in a card reader to transfer the files to a folder on your hard disk (copy, paste, then point WMP for them.
In other words, is that if your SD card is in a device (phone, etc. flash drive) plug said device in, left XP to recognize, then right-click on desktop > Explorer > and the device should appear in the left window. Copy and then paste it into a folder on your hard drive, WMP in this folder.
If peripheral island does not appear: in the menu toolbar > file options > view (or view) > 'Show Hidden files... ". "is checked. Then, copy and paste the files in a folder on your HD Point WMP in this folder.
See you soon,.

Hello
I recently bought a new laptop and want to transfer my license Adobe Creative Suite Design and Web Premium on my new computer laptop. Please tell us the steps how to disable my old laptop and transfer/install to my new laptop. Thank you very much.
Concerning
Angie
You should not disable since you are allowed to have two active facilities. But if you don't want to have a backup available facility, and then to turn it off, just to open one of the applications and choose disable in the Help menu. That will disable the suite together.
To install on the new machine, simply install it yourself you did initially. If you downloaded it initially then you'd find a link for it to yoru online Adobe account. Otherwise, you will find a link to the next page:
Download and Installation Help-
https://helpx.Adobe.com/download-install.html
If you still can not find a link then indicate what version of the suite you need and can probably provide a more direct link.

How to transfer bookmarks to external hard drive
I need to transfer all my favorites from Mozilla Firefox Version 39.0 to a Toshiba external hard drive. Please inform me on the steps. There is no "organize bookmarks" anywhere on the titles of browsers. So I'm a bit lost and I have a few days to accomplish this task.
See:
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Backing_up_and_restoring_bookmarks_-_Firefox
Note that "Organize bookmarks" was unused for some time in the version of Firefox.
It is now under "bookmarks > show all bookmarks.
View that all bookmarks is found in the drop-down list of the 'Show your bookmarks' button that is placed next to the star in the Navigation toolbar. -
Win Vista 32 bit to windows 7 64 bit how to backup bookmarks firefox, passwords?
Currently on Vista 32 bit OS. Using HDD COSTS I run Windows 7 64-bit... You want to save all about external hard drive to the new HARD drive.
FIREFOX passwords, bookmarks, cookies, maybe even of the parameters?(1) able to backup 32-bit firefox tips and restore/copy of Windows 7 64-bit?
((2) all the locations of files to back up - bookmarks, passwords, ect..)
What method to use to get the new hard drive for windows 7 64?
Copy the files/folders to a new location in windows 7?- Know a lot / all (?) of application data cannot be used from 32-bit to 64-bit, but there must be a way to not lose all my data of user firefox (especially the bookmarks and passwords!)
Thank you
Even on Windows 64-bit, Firefox is a 32-bit application, then your data will be used. It is easier if the version is the same on both (for example, Firefox 3.6 to 3.6, Firefox 5 to 5).

Old installation of Windows and where winning FF stopped working. Have reinstalled on the new drive win and FF and import bookmarks from the old install on the old disk. The files are always accessible. None of the listed options explain another FF FF import that create a new profile that will not work in this case.
Just as a reference, when you explore your old hard drive, will seek you:
E:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
(the drive letter may vary)
If Windows hides the AppData folder on the old disk, you can disable hide files and folders: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files
Then you can get off and find the folder bookmarkbackups containing .jsonlz4 files.
