    Hi all
    I use ODI 11.6 and Oracle 11 g.
    I'm currently checking functionality of commit / rollback senario ODI.
    But I get the error in my procedure where I wrote a simple Jython script in command on source below RAISE EXCEPTION ("\N \N \N IS TOTAL COUNT: #COUNT\N \N \N")

    We need to write a Jython script for this check counting this is required to verify whether or not the validation works.

    Issue in this approach:

    I'm trying this way but has detected an error, don't know why its do not receive the jdbc connection.

    ODI-1281: Jython technology task Source select count is not of Type JDBC. When Source text and target orders are specified, the Source technology must be of type JDBC.

  • WebLogic datasource County connection active more than the max connection pool

    Hi guys,.

    We will observe strange behavior on one of our WebLogic instances. A data source is set up with an initial and maximum of 50 capacity, and yet the source of data analysis, we see a number of active connections more of 50 years. In fact, it continues to rise up to 800, after which the database stops to deny connections (obviously).

    Why the maximum capacity of the connection pool is not respected?

    We lack WebLogic 10.3.5 and the connection pool is connected to an Oracle database using the driver oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver.

    Thank you!

    Yes, wire-PIN is documented to override your init-max because it takes
    a connection by running WebLogic threads. If your application also generates its own thread
    who get to pool connections, you have 800 (ugly) son, with a connection.
    This would indicate use suboptimal pool too, which is better to use in getting a connection, using
    and close the ASP, all in a single method call, if the connections are not kept for long periods
    by any thread.

  • Error using the JDBC connection from 12.4SE

    We are upgrading to 12.4 SE and explore using JDBC, rather than rely on ODBC connections.  We run on windows and connect to SQLServer2012.  I found in the administration guide how to set up.  After having GENDAW32 the analysis falls down.

    I tried with sometimes a JTDS driver as well as the microsoft JDBC driver.

    With the driver microsoft is the error:

    SQL Server supports the feature queued at the connection level only. Use the connection.setHoldability () method.

    With JTDS driver error is:

    CLOSE_CURSORS_AT_COMMIT option is not currently supported by the setHoldability method.

    Anyone has any ideas how to fix?  All database settings, to change?

    My DBHandler settings.  Note the microsoft driver failed with the same message without worrying about selectMethod was there or failed

  • We receive many messages "there are not enough connections in the SQL connection pool.

    We get about 50 or more of these messages when running large consolidations in the consolidation system messages.  We know not all the problems, but all 50 posts or more are less than one second of each other in the messages of consolidation.  Our links are set at 40.

    Should raise us this sum and if so, how do we determine how high solve this.  This is a SQL 2008R2 database.

    I can't find anything on this.

    You need to increase the pool of connections for HFM in the hyperion configuration tool... By default, it is set to 40 by application. You can experiment with optimal values, but should help to 80-120. Go to config tool on the HFM node, select Configure the connection to the base. Click Advanced. You will find how to adjust the pool.

    HFM still works perfectly with low, but since he has exhausted the pool, increasing will help.

  • How to get the required connection pool data source?

    Hi we have created two pools of connections with two different userid to restrict access to the database. now I have 2 pools. so if I want to get the connection to a specific pool how to do this?

    Use the JNDI string. When you created your pools you created the jndi names. So when connecting to the data source, you specify jndi. That's how.

    Your postal code if you have a problem.

    Environment variable PATH is for executables.

    Environment variable CLASSPATH's for the class files. Then create CLASSPATH as the variable name and place the path to your ojdbc.jar as the value for it

  • Follow incoming JDBC connections to the database server

    Hello

    We have a database of 10gr 2 on RHEL4. This database is mainly used by Oracle E-Business suite.
    External applications connect to the database using JDBC. Most of the time this configuration works very well. Sometimes, however, we get an error "no data to read from socket" at the end of the external applications. It seems to be a problem with the JDBC connections, but we could not even identify him. But I feel that the problem is NOT the end of the database. I just want to confirm that.

    To cut a long story short - is it possible to follow incoming JDBC connections on the database server? Of course, I can follow the actual sessions created for external applications. But is it possible that I can say that if the JDBC request reached the server database or not?

    Oracle RDBMS cannot differentiate between connection OPTION of any other flavor of the customer.

    Knew that :)

    listener registers EACH connection request, you get

    As the JDBC connection string is correct at the client end, I'll be able to find details of all applications for connection in the newspaper of the listener, even if some of them do not end up like connections to the database.

    PS: I do not belong to the sanctified tribu tribe of DBAs, so please excuse the obvious ignorance!

    Each connection request that gets the listener is registered; regardless of the success or failure.
    listener registers status = 0 for successful queries.
    listener registered status = (as 12514) for failed requests
    If/when the connection request goes wrong & can't seem to the listener, then the listener does nothing;
    Since he never received such a request

  • WebLogic think that he has a database connection but the jdbc is not listed

    The weblogic had a database with the JDBC connection but it has been deleted and is no longer available, nothing in the file config.xml or tools properties
    But I still get these errors then flooding the server and it is stuck and disconnects.

    Any ideas how to ferret out the JDBC as I think there hiding somewhere with the old settings.

    All servers rebooted and restarted.

  • API - POST - REST VCO connection pool closing

    Hello

    I'm working on an automation scenario where I need a VCO A workflow to start another workflow VCO B using the VCO REST Plugin (1.0.2) on VCO 5.1.1.

    I did it with success while creating a multitude of REST and surgery REMAINS by using the appropriate workflow. However, my approach is a lot of static and I need to create REST operations on the fly. I have had a look at workflows Plugin and try to do the same thing in my workflow.

    However I am stuck with the error 'Connection Pool close' when you try to run the POST request.

    My approach is to store the host REMAINS as a static attribute with VCO configuration object and retrieve it from there. I can run GET operations without any problem with the owner, i.e.

    restRequest = restHost.createRequest (restType, restUrl, restContent);

    restResponse = restRequest.execute ();

    My problem is actually running a POST operation. I prepared the content in XML format, which is

    " <-xmlns = execution context" http://www.VMware.com/VCO "> "
    < Parameters >

    < name parameter = "param1" type = "string" >

    < string > 1 < / string >

    < / parameter >

    < name parameter = "param2" type = "string" >

    < string > value2 < / string >

    < / parameter >

    < / Parameter >

    < / execution context >

    and use the content type "application/xml". Earlier in my code, I run a query GET to retrieve my ID for workflow target to create a Url like this:

    flow of work/98c3b8ee-9569-4940-acc1-b8fbc2e64649 / executions.

    This is code that I use to make the POST while creating an operation of REST when needed and delete it later.

    var restOperation = new RESTOperation (System.nextUUID ());

    restOperation.method = restType;

    restOperation.urlTemplate = restUrl;

    restOperation.defaultContentType = restContentType;

    restHost.addOperation (restOperation);

    RESTHostManager.updateHost (restHost);

    inputParameters var = [];

    var restRequest = restOperation.createRequest (inputParameters, restContent);

    restRequest.contentType = restContentType;

    var restResponse = restRequest.execute ();

    restHost.removeOperation (restOperation.id);

    RESTHostManager.updateHost (restHost);

    My code does not work when calling for the lifting of restRequest.execute: ' InternalError: connection pool arrested "." If anyone else has tried a similar scenario or has any idea what I may be missing?

    Thank you

    Bernd

    Thanks chap - update the objects did the trick.

    In my case, that initially caused the problem travel of COULD happen. Of course store the restHost object in the configuration of VCO leads to an out-of-date version at run time. I'm now store the ID of restHost only. Then, copy the following code works:

    var restHostId is System.getModule("my.library").myGetConfigAttr ("Folder", "VCO", "restHostId");.

    var restHost = RESTHostManager.getHost (restHostId);

    If (restType == 'GET') {}
    try {}
    restRequest = restHost.createRequest (restType, restUrl, restContent);
    restResponse = restRequest.execute ();
    }
    catch (exp) {throw ("request REST to run: cannot run '" + restType + "' '" + restUrl + "' request-reason = '" + exp + "'") ;}}
    }
    else {}
    try {}
    var restOperation = new RESTOperation (System.nextUUID ());
    restOperation.method = restType;
    restOperation.urlTemplate = restUrl;
    restOperation.defaultContentType = restContentType;

    restHost.addOperation (restOperation);
    RESTHostManager.updateHost (restHost);

    restHost = RESTHostManager.getHost (restHost.id);
    restOperation = restHost.getOperation (restOperation.id);

    inputParameters var = [];
    var restRequest = restOperation.createRequest (inputParameters, restContent);
    restRequest.contentType = restContentType;

    var restResponse = restRequest.execute ();

    restHost.removeOperation (restOperation.id);
    RESTHostManager.updateHost (restHost);
    }
    catch (exp) {throw ("request REST to run: cannot run '" + restType + "' '" + restUrl + "' request-reason = '" + exp + "'") ;}}

  • What is the url connection string hive in BDD 1.1?

    In my project, I need get data from the server to the hive. Test the jdbc connection to the hive by using the hive good username and password, but it fails and shows "cannot establish a connection."

    my connection url string is as jdbc:hive: / /myservername: 10000 / default

    I also test the other string of cloudera pilot of hive (jdbc:hive2: / / host : port / db_name ) and change the connection to jdbc:hive2: / /myservername: 10000 / default

    There too.

    Before establish us a connection, it must provide a dirver as name

    driverName = "org.apache.hadoop.hive.jdbc.HiveDriver"

    What is the url connection string hive in BDD 1.1? and which driver hive should be used?

    In the BDD 1.1, data in a table of hive are usually indexed and analysed when triggered via BDD provided - data processing interfaces the CLI data processing is run manually, or that is triggered by a cron job.  In this case, it is unnecessary to set up a specific JDBC connection to the table of the hive - BDD can index directly.

    The details above, I think you are saying that the table of the hive is in a different instance of the hive, in a cluster of Hadoop BDD is not installed, so the BDD data processing cannot run in the ordinary way, you want to read JDBC.  Is this correct?

    I think that BDD is struggling to load the hive JDBC driver - BDD 1.1 only DB Oracle and MySQL are supported for JDBC support.

    Is there something stopping you to reproduce the table of the hive in the environment where you have installed the BDD?  BDD can then process the table normally.

  • New Taskflow-ADF transaction acquires a new JDBC connection?

    Hello

    I would like to learn more about ADF Taskflow transaction regarding the JDBC connection.

    TF1-(contains) - page1 and call for tf2
    TF2-(contains) - page 2

    Page1 - search objects
    Page 2 - edit objects

    I have two pages in two taskflows, first taskflow doesn't create any transaction but the page1 in tf1 shows a searh for objects screen. I want to use the transaction behavior of ADF TF for tf2 which is called TF1.

    My tf2 contains a page to change objects, if I put the new transaction as a transaction of TF for tf2 behavior.

    Is it really to acquire a new JDBC connection?

    I'm really grateful if anyone can help me with this.

    Thank you
    Sunil.

    Simple answer: Yes.

    Long answer:

    Think when you connect to say database using a tool such as SQL Developer, opening of the SQL worksheet. In this SQL one spreadsheet there is only one connection to the supporting db commit / rollback. You can perform multiple DML statements, and then commit or rollback, followed by several DML statements, then commit and rollback. Basically, it's a connection supported a single transaction at a time, with several transactions sequentially one after another. What you cannot do in the single SQL worksheet is to have several operations going at the same time, you need to spawn separate leaves SQL with separate connections.

    Therefore, the concept of a connection and transaction are related 1 to 1. If you say your BTF you want a new transaction, he must take a new connection, to take charge of the transaction. Simple as that.

    At the end of the day, therefore the features planned.

    Now I detect your question, you do not want this behavior, but I don't know if you understand the concept of transactions, you will need to answer with a description of what you want to achieve... However, if you want a new separate transaction for your BTF, it requires a connection.

  • JDBC connection to sql server new to 11.2?

    Hello experts,

    in the "Oracle® Warehouse Builder Sources and targets Guide 11 g Release 2 (11.2) Chapter 6 connection via JDBC Data Sources.
    There is a documentation on how to connect to SQL Server with a Driver for JDBC connection.

    This is a new feature of the OWB 11 g Release 2 (11.2) or the jdbc connection is also possible with 11.1 OWB but undocumented?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Ed

    As Carsten mentions his new and also more than simple JDBC, mapping can be set up and out of the box or customized models code assigned to the execution units. This allows you to have the use of two models of code based on the standards or in bulk models style movement data.

    There are a few messages from Mark Rittman on SQL Server using these mappings in GR 11, 2 here:
