newly created pdf in acrobat reader not opening

I just rebuilt my machine after 6 years and now have the joyous task to remember how everything was resolved.  I have Acrobat 7 Pro and Reader 9 installed.  When I create a PDF file it will open in the reader instead of Acrobat which is the way it was before.  Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

Thank you

Xavier

Go to the tasks list and disable AcroRd32. Also, do a right click on a PDF file and select open with, then select Choose default program, select Acrobat. It will vary depending on your version of the operating system.

Until a few days ago I was able to print a PDF from Acrobat Reader ms in Windows 7.  Now I get "the document could not be printed."  The next panel says "there are no pages selected to print," even if all the pages have been selected.  I've uninstalled Reader and reinstalled, but the problem remains.  I also tried to repair the installation and that doesn't work anymore.

Thanks for the tip.  It turned out that kind Reader has been commissioning in protected mode.  I changed the setting and it prints now as before.

    Synchronize and save PDF files

The first time you open iBooks once you upgrade to iOS 9.3 or OS X 10.11.4, you will be prompted to use iCloud. Learn more about the timing of your books and PDFs using iCloud.

You can also add PDF files to your iTunes library on your computer by drag-and - drop the PDF file in your iTunes library. The files will be displayed when you prepare your device to synchronize. If you use OS X Mavericks or later, drag and drop your PDF documents into your library to iBooks using iBooks for Mac. All files PDF or iBook in your iBooks library are available to synchronize your device iOS through iTunes.

    1. Select your iOS device. (Learn how to synchronize with iTunes.)
    2. Under settings, click on books.
    3. Select Sync books.
    4. If iTunes is set to sync only the selected books, make sure that there is to check the box next to the PDF file you want to synchronize.

  • How can I get Acrobat Reader XI back as my default? I'm more able to edit PDFs with Acrobat Reader DC.

How can I get Acrobat Reader XI back as my default? I'm more able to edit PDFs with Acrobat Reader DC.

Adobe Reader XI could not change the files. Do you have Adobe Acrobat (not to be confused with Adobe Acrobat Reader)?

If so, you should always have well if you have installed the free player it will open by default pdf files.

Check to see if you still have (or had initially) XI Adobe Acrobat (Standard or Pro) and we'll see if we can get repaired.

    HI jihoon85,

This is an old post from blog about 3D on iOS PDF support.

    Support PDF 3D on iOS

Please note that the app (PDF 3D viewer) is not supported by Adobe. The third party app is still available on the Apple App Store.  But the app has not been updated since November 2013.

Unfortunately, we are not able to speculate on future projects of products or publication dates in the public user like this forum.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Create pdf from scanner option not appearing is not in adobe reader DC. Can anyone help?

I don't see the "create a pdf from a scanner" option in adobe reader DC. I have an option to create a PDF Online and then the next page offers a lot more options (pdf export, pdf, edit, comment, fill and sign, sent for signature, send & track) but not the real option I want. Ironically, it worked quite perfectly yesterday with nitro 9 (pre-installed on my computer Lenovo) I uninstalled as I prefer adobe! Now I can print PDFs already saved on my printer (communication is apparently possible between adobe and my printer), but I can't create a PDF of my scanner. My operating system is windows 8.1 and my printer/scanner/copier is a Dell 2335 (no color). Y at - it something I am doing wrong or do I downloaded the adobe version to enable the option "create a pdf from a scanner? Any help would be welcome. Thanks AJ

A quick introduction to Adobe products.

Adobe Reader. Free. New name for Adobe Acrobat Reader. Can read a PDF (free). Can create PDF files online (extra charge). Cannot make a PDF from a scanner. Never could.

Adobe Acrobat. Commercial (a cool weather or subscription). Two flavors: Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Standard. CAN create PDF files, including the scanner.

If you had once an Adobe product that could create a PDF from a scanner, you have Adobe Acrobat (not Reader).

Note that many scanners is also equipped with scan-to-PDF software.

  • I can't use the cloud of DC Acrobat. How to make a PDF of Acrobat Reader that does not use the cloud?

This is just about everything said.

I can't save sensitive departmental files on your cloud.

Even for the non-sensitive to PDF, I don't always have access to the cloud when I need to view or work with a PDF file.

I need a version of Acrobat Reader non-nuage.

When DC player installed on my system there is no breath XI player.

After uninstalling CD player, now I can't open/read a PDF file more.

Also, I can't find a copy of Adobe Acrobat to install which is not dependent on cloud.

It is a problem for me.

In addition to all this, NOW I get error messages whenever I try to reinstall the CD player.

    See below.

So today at work, I can longer open PDFs.

    Thank you? NOT!

    You're going to love Google.

More useful than Adobe so far.

Note: By clicking on the link below is immediately open the download dialog box.

    FTP://ftp.adobe.com/pub/Adobe/Reader/Win/10.x/10.1.1/en_US/AdbeRdr1011_en_US.exe

I used to install this download and Setup was seamless.

  • How to have tools in 3D format pdf in acrobat reader?

    Hello

I have the trial version of acrobat 9 pro extended

I work with 3D content in pdf format

I try to use the measure tool in adobe reader 9, but is not enabled.

When I create my 3D file to pdf in acrobat 9 pro extanded, I have the tool measurement, but not with adobe reader with the same pdf file

I see nothing in the help file

    could you help me?

    concerning

You can expand some of the PDF capabilities, such as 3D measurement and commenting on, using one of the following methods:

With the document PDF is open, go to comments > enable for comments and analysis in Adobe Reader...

    -or-

With the document PDF is open, go to advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader...

Either one of them will make the PDF behave the way you want.  I don't know exactly what the differences are, but my impression is that the latter gives the user to the reader of some privileges more.  I could wring.  This can probably be clarified by the help system.
