• PDF file not opening not in Adobe Acrobat Reader Mac OS 10.9.5

  I can't open a PDF file in my program Adobe Acrobat Reader on my Mac (OS 10.9.5). When I try to open a PDF file, the icon for the program appears in my menu bar and bounces as opening. However, does not open the file itself. I get access to preferences, etc., but I can't not all files to display. I tried to open files from both my Finder and directly from the Acrobat Reader software. There is no error message is displayed. the file does not appear. I tried to reinstall only the program three times, restarted my computer several times, I would like to admit it, etc., but no change.

  If anyone can help with this problem, I would be very happy. I run my own business from this computer and use Acrobat every day, so this is a pretty big deal for me. I would be grateful for any help you can offer.

  Can you please try this:

  Open some files with Acrobat, go to window-> Cascade-> tile and see if that opens PDF files.

  Also, let us know if you are on a dual monitor system?

  I created a PDF file from Adobe Acrobat that has links that open external web pages that works perfectly in Adobe Acrobat, but when the PDF file is opened in Adobe Reader, nothing happens when you click on links on. The cursor changes and the URL is displayed when hovering above, but when clicked on nothing happens. Now I tried the CTRL key and change various parameters "Trust Manager" in Preferences, but nothing seems to work. Do I need to save the PDF in a different format to allow links to be opened in Adobe Reader?

  Try this:

  Open drive

  Go in Edition > Preferences > Security (enhanced)

  Uncheck the Enable Protected Mode option

  Click OK and restart.

  Now, check the PDF file.

  Try the solutions below: -.

  Solution 1) (this error occurs when you have more than 1 process of Acrobat running)

  • (1) go to the task by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del Manager
  • (2) go to the process in the Task Manager
  • (3) terminate all processes associated with Acrobat
  • (4) start Acrobat again.

  Solution 2) open Acrobat access to menu help & repair installation.

  Solution 3) control the association of file on your system.

  Solution 4) course for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\acrobat\shell\open\ddeexec\application and change the "AcroviewA10"key to "AcroviewR10.

  I would like to know if it works.

  We have recently improved our system of IE11 company and we have a lot of problems regarding the opening of PDF files now. We use desktop computers Windows 7 64 bit and I tested on Windows 8.1 and it works fine.

  Also when you click on "Download" on the same page, sometimes, a download box will appear in IE to the button saying he doesn't have to download and press 'Retry' when you press retry it downloads and the PDF opens outside the IE.   I tried to install Adobe reader DC and it worked on my machine, but then when I unrolled to others it did not work! The preview works for me and also a PDF file opens in the browser always (even after a reboot). I connect to PCs others and it works very well but their profile it doesn't. I have reset their server profiles, but it's still a question! As I log in machines of others and it works there seem not to be a PC problem?

  It looks like this case has finally be resolved - we have installed an Adobe security update and it seems to have fixed all of the issues around this now.

  We have an internal application running and PDFs published in portal.

  We have the policy when users logged in it will be open IE automatically with the application.

  When you click on the PDF it does not open, but when we close and reopen IE it opens PDF files correctly.

  We check with lan connected desktop and it works very well here and we are facing this problem with laptops.

  The desktop computer is 32 bit win 7.

  Laptops have Wi - Fi and having the OS 64 bit windows 7 ENT SP1 adobe version 10.

  Question: You load the 64 bit version of Internet Explorer on first launch?  If you are then it's your problem.  Plugin PDF is not 64-bit capable, so the solution would be to launch the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer.

  I tried EVERYTHING to get a PDF file to open it in firefox on my mac. They worked about 6 months ago but then stopped. I tried to change the application they open in preferences, applications, I tried to adjust the Add-ons, I tried to activate the pdf viewer. I'm using Firefox 41.0.1. • newly created pdf in acrobat reader not opening

  I just rebuilt my machine after 6 years and now have the joyous task to remember how everything was resolved.  I have Acrobat 7 Pro and Reader 9 installed.  When I create a PDF file it will open in the reader instead of Acrobat which is the way it was before.  Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

  Go to the tasks list and disable AcroRd32. Also, do a right click on a PDF file and select open with, then select Choose default program, select Acrobat. It will vary depending on your version of the operating system.

  I doubt if it's a Firefox problem.

  Windows say about these files when you right click on the file and select Properties?
  What happens with all the PDF files?
  Or just a few from a given source?

  These files may have been created by another program PDF and may not be fully compatible with Adobe Reader. Or these PDFs can be altered in any way.

  I am running FF v.28 and were not able to open PDF files in a very long time. In fact, I don't remember the last time it worked correctly. When you click on a PDF link, the page opens is empty or nothing happens. I can view PDF in this other browser without problems. I tried 'various' bugs found on the net but still nothing. I'll try FF removal and reinstallation as a last resort. Otherwise, I am at my wits end.

  A few things:

  (1) your "more details of the system" shows two different plugins Adobe PDF (10 and 11 series). You may need to disable one of those.

  Open the page modules using either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

  In the left column, click on Plugins. Search for "Adobe Acrobat" and definition of one of them "never activate.

  (2) try changing your viewer.

  The settings file that stores stock for Firefox cannot display on its own sometimes of the files is corrupt, and once or twice in the Options dialog box layout can help to straighten out.
