  It really depends on how the images are used. If it's a book of photos where the images are the main value of the book and then you need the extended licenses. If they are used as cover or sometimes illustrate something that is in the book so that you can use the license standard up to 500,000 copies.

  When I open a book of the iBooks Library window, after the opening of the book animation I just get a transparent surface on the screen were the book should be, see the image below.

  I see that when you open a book in iBooks library window, you see a transparent area on the screen where the iBook should be. I renamed one of the collections and created a new collection for the PDF 14 new and renowned collection or display the new collection in iTunes or the fact that they synchronize when I told iTunes to synchronize the entire library... I suspect that some of the books were removed in fact the iPad from iTunes has lost track of some of the books he has seen previously.  It's really frustrating because I don't want to use the books in the cloud, because they must be downloaded manually to the iPad or iPhone and with lots of books, I spent all my time clicking on this button of cloud and never anything read.

  The response of the Apple support was to use iCloud, blah, blah, blah, because that's the way it is designed to be used which seems to me arrogant or stupid.   Well, it isn't a problem for real, but I removed two files and a .plist to the library. A revived the iBooks and low and here's all appear again and iTunes sees everything, including two new collections and 150 new books and pdf.  I have used this twice before and was actually hope that there could be a real problem now.

  I've always had the ability to load audiobooks in iTunes and then change the type of music in audio book. I tried today and overtime I make that change iTunes stops and does not change. Is anyone else having the same problems? Is there a solution?

  On my devices, iBooks is made salient and remarks on the ePub files synchronization. However it does that when I restart both devices.

  I really like the app and was happy to hear that I could sync between devices via iCloud downloaded items. However, at this time, I can't afford to jump through hoops to get my sync annotations. I must be able to retrieve any device and have it ready on the go.

  If this problem is not resolved, I'll have to give up the iBooks app once again in favor of something that works...

• Audio books are in 2 places on iTunes

  A summarized set of audio books are in my iTunes Playlist "On My Device', those who would be those that I recently added. A more complete list, more than 700 books, are included in the summary of the topic audiobooks to iTunes.   I was wondering if my download folder is directing the iTunes Media incorrectly, that happened when we converted the last pc. I had to correct all these books by hand (which was tedious, but necessary).  Also look for iPad and iPhone, but do not use those 5 sec sound

  This problem has arisen in the last three months.  (BTW, we've never used "Sync only checked songs and videos" and create Playlists to manage content).

  Where an asset appears in iTunes is determined by the media Type setting for each item.  Audio files from an external source (imported into iTunes) can get imported as songs (music), as iTunes does not know that they are audio books.  I do not understand your description of the problem, but if some of your audio books in your library of iTunes, not your library of books music audio iTunes, that's the problem.  And they will also appear on the iPod as songs, when synchronized.

  If you have a large number of audio books that appear in your library iTunes music, a convenient way to fix them all at the same time is to create a new playlist and add all the audio books (which are currently considered songs) to the playlist.  In the playlist, select any item and do a select all (Ctrl-A keyboard OR menu bar Edition-> select All).  Right-click on the selection and information.  On the window information from several element, click the Options tab.  Change media kind in audiobook, then OK.  All selected items should now appear in your audiobooks to iTunes library.

  NOTE: Depending on how sync you media on your iPod, you may need to remove affected audio books on your iPod first and then re - add (after they are ordered by iTunes as audio books).

  If you are not able to change the Type of media, please after return.

• Synchronization of the books/pdf for iPad Pro

  It is a recurring problem. The last time I have synced with my iTunes iPad put 2200 files on my iPad.  Today I plug the iPad on my Mac Pro and I see 1742 books. If I sync it would remove about 500 files from my iPad instead of put on the 20 that I added to iBooks.  I submitted comments on iTunes that I have submitted comments on iBooks and got no help at all. Short while puffing and reload all files (which I now did four times in the past eight months!)  does anyone have any suggestions? Or am I the only person in the world to have this problem?

  There must be some .plist iBooks and iTunes use to communicate... can someone tell me what it is? I'm really leaning towards iTunes being the culprit since he got squirrels still after the most recent iTunes updated for iOS10.

  I refuse to use iBooks in the iCloud, because then you have to manually d/l all the books on the iOS device and as many books... Well, it's just not. I tried and it was horrible. Had to rebuild the whole iBooks library and I don't do that again.
