• Download iBooks

  No matter the type or price, iBooks is not let me download books on my iphone 6. I 28.5 GB of free space is not a problem either.

  I tried to turn off and turn on my phone, but it does not work either.

  My phone and app are up to date.

  I just got the phone with Apple Support and they told me that there is a problem with iBooks now in this books will not download correctly. My book says that it is corrupted and can not be opened even after the deletion and re - download. I'll try again in a few days.

• iBooks/iCloud problem: all the books transformed into "encrypted files".

  I recently downloaded all my iBook (files PDF and epub files) on the iCloud / iDrive with the iBook on my iPad app. Many worked for awhile, but when I tried to use iBooks after a few weeks of inactivity, none of my downloaded iBooks were visible in iBooks. I looked in the iDrive and there is a section of iBooks, that seems to have all my old iBook (15 GB) files, but each file appears as "Encrypted File". I have no idea on how to decrypt these files so that I can use them again.

  The iBooks interface displays only the empty shelves.

  I don't know what triggered this loss of all my books. Anyone have an idea how I could recover my books?

  Overall, I must say that I am very disappointed with the whole iCloud / iDrive system. It took an eternity to download files, the data transfer is extremely slow and I'm not even able to download iBooks from my PC to the iCloud. I have much better experiences with Google Drive or Dropbox, which operate in a transparent way through everything, platform. I guess that the iCloud / iDrive works only in an all-Apple configuration

  I have the same problem too, all my files epub in the ibooks app disappeared after I have sync my iphone on icloud drive and when I checked the ibooks on my icloud storage it appears as "encrypted file.

  I received a free ebook from another author and it downloaded iBooks on my iPad.

  I tried to remove it, but it comes back. How can I get rid of it permanently?

  I understand that you want to remove a free ebook that you received your iBooks app. I can help you accomplish this and have several things for you to check.

  First, it is important to make sure you have a recent backup of important data from your iPad. Use this article How to back up your device using iCloud or iTunes to make sure that you have a recent backup.

  Second, I see that you are on iOS 7.0.2. It is always important to make sure you have the latest version of the iOS software installed. Use this article updated the iOS on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch software to make sure that you are running the latest version of the software.

  And finally, use article delete music, movies, applications and other content of your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, specifically, this section:

  Delete books and audio books

  Remove books or audio books of the iBooks app by following the steps below:

  1. In the upper right corner, press Select.
  2. Tap on the books you want to delete.
  3. Press DELETE.

  If you can redownload them depends on if the rights holder has removed their shop, or if you have moved since their purchase (and if you use the same account as you bought them with). You their redownloaded via the tab purchased in the iBooks on your iPad app (if they do not it check to see if you have hidden the cloud: mask and unmask purchases iTunes or iBooks on your Mac or PC - Apple support), or in the store (if they are the same version of the book they should have icons of cloud on them if it is not currently downloaded)?

  If versions of the books that you have purchased have been removed and replaced by new books, they can be considered as new purchases (and would have a price on them button in the store), so you will be charged to buy these new versions.

  I want to allow my new mac to download ibooks that I bought. When I tried to allow I get a message that I had already 5 authorized computers.

  It is not a list, but you need to do is to show the iTunes Store in iTunes.  Sign in with your Apple ID, if you're not already.  At the top of the window, click your name, and then click on account info.  In the account information screen, there is a button Deauthorize all .  Click to Deauthorize all 5 computers authorized at present with your Apple ID (including old computers that you no longer use).

  Then, use the allow this computer (in command bar menu under Store) to allow your current computer with your Apple ID.  If you have other computers that you use with your Apple ID, do this same thing on him (them).

• iBooks 3.3 update download?

  iTunes tells me to download from yesterday, on 13 June, there is a new version of iBooks. However, the 3rd app from the App Store on my gen iPad does not, show the nor the shows it as iBooks app being available under updates in the section purchase the iBooks app. Or not it appears in the App Store or iBooks apps on my iPhone. How can I update iBooks on my iPhone 6 and 3 Mini iPad?

  Ignore the message of iTunes. You should not be seen. Some sort of bug at the end of Apple.

  When I went to the iBooks store on my iPad 2 (with all the latest software), I searched the book and tried the button 'download sample '.   Looks like you had to cancel the pre-order so that the "sample" button, it doesn't look like it will show it is pre-ordered.

• Just downloaded the new upgrade of an iPad. I checked the box that allowed my iBook information go to iCloud way to be accessible to all devices.  When I made all my downloads that were in iBooks on the app disappeared.

  Can how I recover all my iBook downloads that were lost when I tried to send to iCloud?  Many of them were purchased. Some were free. The actual books, I downloaded are still on the iPad.

• Cannot delete download only from my own files in iBooks for Mac

  My Mac does not allow me a file a file that I have not purchased through the iBooks store. It only allows me to remove all the devices iOS and iCloud folder.

  Only downloads of purchased books are allowed to remove from my Mac.

  On iOS devices, it works ok for both purchased and my own files.

  According to the Apple support site, this should work for all files on Mac:

  3. Right-click or Ctrl-click on the item you want to delete, then select Delete.
  4. Click on remove all to remove the iCloud file and all your devices.

  Had the same problem. I spoke for 45 minutes with Apple on the phone, and ultimately they kind of had to admit he did not "optimal" (read: it's a bug)
