No connection of microphone

I can't get CS6 Audition to connect to my microphone input. Hearing 3 works OK. All other functions, read, edit etc are ok. Does anyone else have this problem?

Very well.  Most likely the choice I have CS6 running on a 32-bit Windows Vista laptop with Realtek built into the unit.

At the hearing, go to the menu Edition/Preferences/Audio Hardware.  Select MS under "Device class" and, in the entry default drop-down list, select "Microphone (Realtek High Definition Audio)".  Or, if you are using a microphone connected to the Jack mic on my system, so-called "Front Mic (Realtek High Definition Audio)".

If you don't see the option you want in the menu of the hearing, you must go to the control panel (Start/Control Panel/Sound).  Click on the "Recording" tab  In this menu, RIGHT click on the "white forest" not associated with a specific device screen and make sure you have ticks on both "Show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices".  This should do everything show in hearing, but just to be sure, on the RIGHT, click the mic option you want and click on the option "use default".

I hope that you get.

  • How to connect a microphone to capacitor for Mac Book Pro?

    Hi all

After recently to buy a NW-700 Neewer and set up, I plugged it on my which seems to me to be a model 2012 or 2013 the Mac Book Pro, only to see that he has been received as headphones and tab out of my sound preferences. I don't think that there is something wrong with the microphone as I had also bought and hooked to a phantom power source. After you pass the cables through the power source, I plugged my card TRS in a TRS FosPower additional to the PLUG adapter, knowing that Mac does not accept audio TRS jacks. And then after all that, I plugged this card into my computer which was accepted as a helmet instead of a microphone.

I have a theory, that the FosPower adapter converts only the input signals and the computer then thought of as a helmet. What do you think?

    Hi garretthelp,

I understand that you are having trouble to get your microphone Neewer NW-700 to be recognized as a device on your MacBook Pro.  If the TRS FosPower to adapter PLUG does not work for you, have you tried using an audio interface with standard XLR connections for your audio configuration?    Which application you use on your Mac?  No matter what settings are you using in the Mac system preferences should also be done in the settings of the audio application as well.  I will include information for GarageBand below for your reference.

I found the Web site of the manufacturer of your product and enter the SKU for the microphone Support page, but they do not have a manual available at the moment.  So, if using an interface standard audio does not resolve the problem, you will need to contact Neewer for more information.

    Plug in a microphone

You can connect a microphone to your computer to record your voice, an acoustic instrument or any other sound on an audio track in GarageBand. You can connect a microphone to the port of audio input of your computer, a USB port, or, for better audio, an audio interface connected to a FireWire or USB port on your computer. You can also use your computer's built-in microphone to record sound.

After you connect a microphone, you choose the input source for the range that you want to save in, and then turn eventually followed. Monitoring allows you to hear you play so you can hear the part you want to record as well as the rest of the project.

Connect a microphone to your computer

    Do one of the following:

    • If you use your computer's built-in microphone, select the Microphone as the source of entry into GarageBand > Preferences > Audio > devices.

    • Plug the microphone on your computer audio input port (if she has a), then choose integrated input as input source of the track.

  • Connect a USB microphone to a USB port on your computer. Choose the USB microphone as input source of the track.

  • Connect an audio interface to a USB or FireWire port, then a microphone for the audio interface for recording.

  • Connect a console audio mixer or console in an audio interface connected to your computer.

  • Set the input for a microphone source

    1. Select the audio track.

    2. Click the Smart Controls to open the smart controls, and then click the Inspector button of .

    3. In the recording settings section, choose one of the following on the shortcut menu of the entry:

      • If you use your computer's built-in microphone, choose the built-in Microphone.

      • If you use a microphone connected to your computer's audio input port, choose built-in input.

If the integrated entry does not appear in the menu, choose GarageBand > Preferences, click Audio / MIDI, then choose enter integrated in the context menu of the Audio input.

      • If you use a microphone connected to a USB port, select the microphone.

      • If you use a microphone connected to an audio interface, choose the number of the channel for the microphone.

If channels audio interface do not appear in the menu, choose GarageBand > Preferences, click Audio / MIDI, then choose the audio interface in the context menu of the Audio input.

Make sure the format matches the microphone or instrument. Choose a mono for monophonic instruments (with a single channel), then a stereo input to stereo devices (with a pair of channels).

    4. Drag the recording level slider to change the level of input to the sound source volume.

If the recording level slider is dimmed, you cannot change the volume of entry in GarageBand. In this case, use the volume control on the unit.

    Take care

  • Can I connect 3 microphones to a SX20 using some kind of adapter to 'Y '?

    Hello

We understand that the SX20 support up to 2 microphones, but we wonder if it is possible to connect 3 using some adapter in 'Y' or the 3rd party hardware?

    Thank you!

    Chris.

If you want to use the microphones that come with the SX20, then no, you cannot really do.

If you are happy to use 3rd microphones group, you can feed the in to a table of external microphone mixer and then in the SX20.

  • Need help to connect a microphone to the hearing

    Hello!

I am having trouble doing something that seems very basic. I can't set up my microphone to record in the hearing. I am a total newbie to any form of sound recording and don't know anything about. I'm going to be as specific as possible to help someone help me.

I recently bought a microphone condenser Neewer NW-700. I have it running in a mixer Behringer Xenyx 802 via XLR to 2.5 mm (with a 3.5 mm adapter). Mixer does not have a USB connection so I ran it on my computer (Macbook Pro running OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 at the end of 2011) through a Behringer U-Control UCA222 USB Audio Adapter RCA.

I went into Preferences > hardware Audio selected USB Audio CODEC for my default entry and exit and did the same thing in the settings of the sound of my Mac.

When I went to Audition for record, the wave was flat and I could not hear everything that comes out of the speakers. I went to the Audio devices page on my Audio Setup and lunch where I was able to adjust the volume of Audio Out but not Audio In.

This is as far as I'm away. I've been Google searching for about a week now and nothing has worked. I'm not sure it's a computer problem, a hardware problem or a hearing problem -as I said, I don't know anything about this kind of stuff.

I appreciate all the advice. Thank you!

I just googled your microphone and ryclark is spot on.   The XLR Plug to 3.5 mm cable included with microphone is completely useless - there are several videos that appeared on my taling research on this subject.

You need an XLR - f for XLR - M cable to connect on your mixer, turn on the Phantom, follow-up instructions that I proposed above.

I also write a letter to Neewer asking a discount because they provide a cable can possibly use.

  • HP Envy: Unable to connect with microphone for laptop

I have some clothes focus cat-earphones that come with a microphone that plugs into a socket of the headset themselves and then has a unique separate cord to plug into the laptop. The laptop also has a single listener of type. I'm on a HP Envy running windows 10. It also has beats audio on it if it's of any help.

  • Headset Bluetooth connects but microphone does not work

I recently bought a blue Parrott Xpressway II Bluetooth headset to use with my Windows 7 computer and a Bluetooth of Rocketfish RF-MRBTAD adapter. First installation went well, and it worked for several hours. Then it disconnected and struggled to reconnect you to the top. Once he did reconnect, the helmet would work for reading, but not for the record.

At the present time, I have:
    • Updated Bluetooth driver to the latest version.
    • Choose the Microphone headset as default device for recording in the sound section of the control panel.
    • Choose the Microphone headset as default device for playback in the sound section of the control panel.
    • Unplugged the headphones and then reconnected it.
    • Unplug the Bluetooth adapter and reconnected.
    • Restart the computer after each of these steps.
So far, nothing seems to work. The headset is listed as peripheral by default for recording in the sound section of the control panel. (There the green check mark next to it). However, the helmet is clearly not pick up sound. No matter how hard I speak into the microphone, not a single green bar appears next to the list for headset.
However, the network of microphones (which is simply registered as loan, with no green tick) straightens his. I see green bars appear next to his entry, when I make the noise. That microphone works, despite not selected.
Can anyone offer advice on what I could do to get this working microphone? In the end, I want to use with Dragon Naturally Speaking. But for now, I'd settle for just the microphone to transmit all information.

    Hi Brian,.

I suggest to run the troubleshooter and check if that helps.

    (a) OpentheAudio recording utility by clicking the Start button, and then click Panel.

    (b) in the Search box, type Troubleshootingand then click on troubleshooting.

    (c) under hardware and sound, click Troubleshooting audio recording.

    Method 2:
If him persists, try plugging the headphones on another computer as suggested by Sébastien M on September 12, 2013. Check to see if the problem occurs on the other computer.

  • Integrated microphone does not and shows to connect Windows Vista

My microphone does not work, even not show as connected in (microphone) Windows vista

Hi my microphone has problems. It works sometimes, but usually it does not. I don't know why it is, but maybe someone here can help you. It is really connected and activated, but it does not usually record as being connected. Does it only occasionally. I don't know if something is different when the microphone is, can't remember. I downloaded the latest drivers and have updated their but that did not help. I still have the same problem. Also, it seems that all audio services are running. So if anyone knows the solution I would be grateful.

If you microphone/Line In set is activated and levels turned up, this is how its window should look like. Note the bar showing the Green microphone resumes his.

  • Microphone does not work when the headset is connected (Windows 7 with Realtek HD Audio).

I am a user in advance, but this got to be one of the funniest problems ever. First, I had 2 headphones with microphone.

    1. An old helmet specified with microphone
    2. A new headphones A4Tech HS-100 with microphone that I just bought
    Problem:
    • Using the new helmet I bought, when I plug the microphone (pink jack even) it works, but also when I plug in the headphones (same headphone jack), the microphone no longer works (cannot receive all the sounds, even if it is detected clear as already plugged) and only the work of helmet.
    The most funny thing is:
    • The old headset works fine when I plug the microphone (jack Pink) and headphones (headphones) to my ASUS N81V laptop.
    • When I plug the microphone on my laptop and plug the headphones to my iphone, the microphone and the headphones work!
    • To experiment more, my laptop has a HDMI output connected to an external HDMI monitor, when I connect the microphone on my laptop, only it works, but as soon as I connect the headphones to the headphone jack on the external HDMI monitor, the microphone works again!
Things, I tried and does not work:
    • Maximize the microphone amp
    • Separate entry made in the audio Panel
    • Ensure the microphone is not dumb anywhere
    • Install the latest drivers from the manufacturer and realtek Web sites
I want to get both my mic and headphones works when plugged the laptop, what exactly is the problem? Any help? Thank you very much.

I have a similar problem with my netbook a built-in microphone running Windows Starter, that's how mine to get the fix:

Control Panel - his - recording tab - click on Configure button - set up micro - Configuration of the Microphone Wizard.

You'll see three choices 1. Headphones Microphone 2. Table microphone 3. Others.

All what I have to do to fix my netbook is to select the desktop instead of headphones with Microphone Microphone (it has been revived somehow).

  • Conversion of a microphone to a level signal level signal line.

    Friday, June 24, 2016

Re: My computer: Mac mini (mid-2010)

    The model number is A1347

Very well. I wonder if the community of Apple Support can help me with this problem.

I bought a version a SADES 810 Gaming Headset which is supposed to be compatible with Mac in 2016. I tried to plug the headphones on my Mac mini in the hope that I would be able to have conversations using a magic Jack. While I hear people talking to me perfectly clear with the magic Jack, they did not intend to talk into the microphone of the headset.

I tested the helmet with a chip "phone and the microphone and the headphones worked well." Thus, the microphone is not defective. I discovered that my Mac mini to model requires a microphone level line. The microphone on the "2016 new Version for PS4 SADES SA - 810 Gaming PC Headset Headset" is not level line, it seems, but the lower level of the microphone. Thus, the microphone of the headset is not turn off force, that he needs to work in making the Mac mini line level microphone.

On a site I saw this quote:

"Mic Level is the amount of signal you get a microphone. It is much lower than the level of the line and therefore need to be stimulated by a preamp to be usable in a recording situation. »

What I need is the gadget that will allow me to connect the microphone level 3.5 mm headphones microphone, on my Mac mini, which will convert then the microphone level low in a line level signal, when plugged (at the level of the line) microphone jack/plug of the Mac mini. Is there such a gadget?

T he one or two 3.5 mm Sockets?

The headphone jack on the Mac should include a contact for a microphone. To check see it:
