Photosmart HP 5510 is not printing black

After I changed my black cartridge with a new one (original HP 364 XL), it does not print any black.

I did all the steps I found here on the forum, apparently this problem is pretty common with the 5510 after he reached the age of one year... but none worked.

I read that the last option is a reset 'special '? I would like to know how it works.

No matter what HP tech out there who can help me?

Thank you!

  • Photosmart HP 5510 do not print black ink

I have tried everything that has been proposed on the site of HP and nothing has solved the problem. Color is fine, printing new cartridge and black was fine print until yesterday.

I see that you say that you have done all the troubleshooting.  However, see this document to make sure that all steps have been completed.  If all the measurements were made, then there is a problem in the ink system, most likely the printhead of the printer.

If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309g do not print black ink

    Hello

My HP Photosmart Premium C309g (CD055A) will not print black ink even if the cartridge is full. He's going through the motions of printing but the pages come out blank. It prints colors, they are not as dark as before, so I know that black is not working. I have cleaned the print heads, turned off the printer, unplug the printer, restarted the computer, but nothing works. I get colors on the report of the print quality, but the printer status report comes out blank. I bought a new black ink cartridge (564XL) think the previous one was defective (levels showed a 75% ink) but I still have the same problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hey,.

I see you have done some troubleshooting on the issue of the print quality that you are experiencing.  I would make sure you did all the troubleshooting steps available for your research problem in the document following the link.

Print colors are the colors should not when the C309 Photosmart Premium printing.

If you have completed all these steps, then I check the status of your printer warranty.  If it is out of warranty, you should consider the solution provided by Bob_Headrick in the thread found here.

    Hope this helps,

  • PhotoSmart HP 6520: HP PhotoSmart 6520 Series does not print black

My HP 6520 is no longer under warranty - just for a little more than a year.  Not printing black - just replaced all the cartridges and black is not printing.  I used the print head cleaning function so many times that I used half of all cartridges including the black who don't print very disappointed in my decision to buy a HP printer!  Is that what I can do in addition to buying a new printer?  I woud guess something wrong with printhead - can it be removed and cleaned?  Help, please!

    Thank you

    Hi Mike,

    May not be clear enough.

They should support with you because your cartridges are brand new.

Although they were not available at all firstly I would ask you to contact them again.

    What country do you call?

Yet once if the printer is a little more than a year, you should not pay for support, but they should be able to help.

Please try to call their new and persist in your question, and that they can provide support on the cartridges.

  • Photosmart HP 5510 - will not print using black ink

I have problems with my HP Photosmart 5510 all-in-One printer, because it will not print in black. All cartridges are brand new and are genuine HP cartridges. I've never used anything other than HP cartridges, and I believe that I have would be considered a very light printer user.

I use a HP Pavilion Desktop PC (Vista Home Premium) connected to the printer via a USB cable.

I have to 'reset' the printer (power cable removed for 20 seconds), I cleaned the print heads and tried to re-alignment of the printer.

I ran HP print and Scan diagnostics and do the message "Everything out OK with your product." I then print a test page which "fails", that there is no black ink in use. The diagnosis confirms that the ink levels are all OK and that my printer uses HP authentic and than Normal inks or better quality is selected.

The printer is a little over a year old and as mentioned has had very light use.

There is no error - every reason to believe that everything is OK.

I wish I had a solution to this problem.

As by chance my previous printer a HP Photosmart 3210 all-in-One failed in a similar way, although in this case, the black was fine, it was impossible to print colors correctly. Once the printer was just out of warranty.

Curiously enough and fortunately like few others on the forum a few days after the installation of the new cartridge, it seems to work perfectly fine again.  any ideas as to why this happens?

When I print QUALITY REPORT printing any black ink level is shown, but black media are there. very strange.

    Thanks for the reply daveclix

I agree that this is not a problem with your PC, it's a hardware problem with the printer. The information you supplied I'm going to send you a private message to discuss the next steps to take

  • PHOTOSMART HP 6520 does not print black. And the ink levels estimated for the other inks are not correct.

Hi, I bought my photosmart Hp 6520 year last, October. But it is no more print black after replacing ink twice. I tried to clean the print head with water and tried "clean print head" in tools, does not solve the problem...

What is wired is that I bought 4 new 564 inks the hp of the target 2 days ago, printed only less than 10 pages to see if the problem is resolved. Then my printer told me that the cartridge is too low... Is this possible?

It makes me crazy now... What is even worse, I used a tool to detect my printer, and he said that is no longer under warranty... But he was only 9 months... How can I solve this problem? Thank you.

The document here can help solve the black does not print on your Photosmart 6520.  Be sure to check the vents, as on the three solution.

If this does not resolve the issue I suggest you call HP (1-800-HPINVENt to the United States, see here for details by the way).  The warranty online tool is an estimate, they will have a process of updated the status of the guarantee if necessary.

  • My Photosmart HP 6515 does not print black only.

Sometimes, I want to print something on the web that has the color, but if I have no color and just want black and white how can I do? I don't see anything on the control panel of the printer that allows me to do that.

The copy on the control panel function is, I suppose, just for the copy of something you place on top of the screen glass and not to the copy on the web. Is this correct?

Other printers (such as my old Canon printer) allows me to do black and white.

    Hello

You can set print black ink using the settings of the printer on your Mac:

First of all, try to click the menu presets from the print dialog box and select the preconfigured black single preset.

If this does not appear, follow the steps below to manually create such a "Preset":

    1. from the application used to print, click the file menu and select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized: click the blue triangle next to product model (Mac OS X v10.5 or v10.6) or the button view details (Mac OS X Lion v10.7 / 10.8) see all available parameters.

    2. to access the color options, click in the area of selection below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    3. Select Type/quality paper in the menu dropdown.

    4. click the triangle next to color Options of spending parameters.

    5. set the color to grayscale field.

    6. set the Mode to grayscale in black cartridge only.

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset.

  • ALL-IN-ONE PHOTOSMART HP 5510 WILL NOT PRINT AFTER GO 'SLEEP' MODE

    My printer model:

    HP PHOTOSMART ALL-IN-ONE 5510 B111A

    Problem:

Printer goes into sleep mode. After 25-30 minutes breaks the connection between the PC and the printer wireless. Beacon wireless is the same fashionable "sleep" and I see that the printer is connected to my router and there is internet connection. HP Print and Scan doctor sees the printer, but I can't wake the printer unless I restart it.

    What I've tried so far:

I tried all the solutions offered hp.com; Reinstall driver, updating the printer software, setting static IP on the printer, static DNS servers, using HP print and Scan doctor.

I've seen people questioned on this issue before and there is no solution. I really need help from HP!

After days of research, the problem was finally solved! I applied the following steps below. Some steps may be unnecessary, I didn't waste my time knowing who.

    1. find your PC's DNS servers by typing ipconfig/all in CMD.
    2. assign a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For my Linksys router him between 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150. So I put my static IP address as 192.168.1.20.

To do this, click the button on your printer wireless. This will show the IP address of your printer. This type of your browser. Go/network/network address. Choose manual IP and write 192.168.1.20

3 now come to section of the manual DNS server, and then type your DNS servers, you found before.

    4. open your HP printer program that must be installed with your driver. Utilities hit and update the IP address. Update your address with your static IP address.

    5. now go to your router settings. Find the wireless settings and change your not automatic standard 20 MHz radio band.

    6. change your standard channel to 6.

7 find the wireless security and replace your WPA-personal security mode.

    8 disable UPnP

    9. This is the part of the KEY. Change the renewal of your key to 36000 seconds. (10 hours)

10 go to the Windows Advanced Firewall. Enable all the disabled printer and share, entrants and outbond rules.
I believe that the most important parts are affecting a static IP address outside your DHCP-range and change the key renewal time. I hope this works for you too

  • HP Photosmart Plus B209A does not print black ink despite trying two separate NEW ink cartridges black

    HP Photosmart B209A more

    MAC

No error messages but trying to align or check colors - black doesn't print at all

No change - knew ink was low so I tried to install a new black ink cartridge - then one day later tried an another new black ink cartridge

I tried all the techniques of "Troubleshooting" listed on the page Web - align, clean the print heads, install the new cartridges, looking for trouble with the vents, etc.  I have only used HP ink cartridges.

    Hi abruce,.

Usually, it is a result of dried/clogged ink nozzles in the printer or the print head.

According to some other users on the forums, you can remove the print head (use this guide if you are unsure how: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01944580)

Make sure the cartridges are removed from the print head

Dive head in hot water, nozzles downwards. (about 1 in. of water) and leave any residue of ink to flow. This process should take about 15 minutes. Ensure that the print head is completely dried out and there is no moisture in the electrical contacts or the rest of the part.

    I hope this helps!

  • Printers HP Photosmart 6520: Photosmart HP 6520 does not print black

When I print from my Dell Inspiron One 2330 (wireless), the black ink does not work.  I ran 10 Windows troubleshooting link on your site and it did not help.  I printed a "quality report" directly from the printer and the black letterng was very good.  I installed the new (564XL) black ink but it did not help.  Several weeks ago, I installed Windows 10 and until this week, everything was fine.  My printer is configured as a default network printer.  I'm having the same problem when I print from my iPhone 5 and iPad.

My problem turned out to be a hardware problem - bought a new printer.

  • HP PHOTOSMART PREMIUM C309ns does not print black misalignment & printing

HP Photosmart Premium Web Printer Model # C309ns (Microsoft 64-bit)

Suddenly I'm unable to print in black.  When you print documents, black is low or absent.

I tried to solve the problem of:

-Updated the drivers and software updates

    -Cleaning of the print head

-Remove all the ink and their replacement cartridges

-Turning printer off, wait, then turn on

    -Restart the computer

-Tried to align the printer, but it "failed".

    Help, please!

Remove the ink cartridges and using the grey lever on the side of the cart, remove the printhead.  Clean the electric contacts (bunches of points 1/16 "diameter gold) with a damp lint.  The fabric will be ruined.

Clean the surface of contact inside the carriage.  Re-monte and retest.
