  You can place an ApplicationMenuItem on the program of Messages, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

  You can also try adding a FolderListener in the mail store, then you get to announce to any e-mail message hit the folder. The subject of the message has a "isInbound()" method that will tell you if the message is incoming or outgoing.

  There is no API to trigger the Red splat to appear in the application Messages (or any other application of RIM).

  The messages application is still running, and it is really not possible to determine if the message list has been opened.

  However, you can get messages when a particular email is open. Follow these steps:

  Fix a FolderListener in the Inbox of email to be notified when new email arrives.

  When you see an email that matches your criteria, fix a MessageListener to the subject of the Message.

  Now, you will get a notification when the e-mail is opened.

  Abhay, the first contacts imported for an account will be the primary contact. There is no separate import to indicate the primary contact.

  I use IOS 9.3.1 and cannot receive mail from yahoo on my iPhone or iPad since May 1.  I can still get it on my Macbood Pro.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall on my iPhone 6, to no avail.  All I have this problem and can help me.  I downloaded the application mail to yahoo as a temporary solution, but would prefer to get my mail in the email provided with the phone application.  The mail comes to this app from yahoo, so I do not understand what has happened.

  I'm on an iMac, retina Yosemite, 10.10.5 running.   When I try to open the messaging app, I get a screen empty, as shown below.  Also, I noticed that my iMac is not visible to my iPhone in "Text Message Forwarding", if it is an additional clue to what is wrong. Until yesterday, everything worked well. To my knowledge, I did not update any software in the last two days.

  Hi Ellentavino.

  You can't import contacts of the PPP to Win 8 people directly.  However, if you go to http://people.live.com and choose manage it gives you the ability to import Outlook or a CSV file.

  Once these contacts are imported - it might take a while but they will eventually be replicated down to the people app in Windows 8.
