No driver in the comments of Vista network adapter

Hello

New to VMWare Player. I've used this other brand for a while but the VMWare converter struck me as something that I could use to help older Windows 8.1 Migration (mainly because the 8.1, it is very difficult to get data etc. off Vista machines on the new machine).

My first client to try that got a Compaq laptop with a dead motherboard and replaced by a new Acer instead of paying repair the Board.

I placed his HARD drive in an HP computer to run the converter, and a few hours later had a VM work. I copied that into his new machine and installed VMPlayer (6.0.3) and headed for the virtual machine.

Everything works fine except that I can't get the network to work - are not load drivers.

Of course, I installed the VMWare Tools in the virtual machine. And uninstalled. And reinstalled. And repaired.

Vista sees the network cards, but cannot get the drivers for them. All other drivers are gone but not the most appropriate.

Files between the host and the guest shared works better than I can say - some read only those and a read/write.

I tried disabling AV and firewall and do a clean boot (IE no 3rd party programs or services, except those of VMWare) and such other tricks with no luck. Have you tried 'update' with a Wifi USB mounted on the machine, tried to install via lan, tried to setup tools VMware 'drive '. All have failed.

I tried with this for a few days. I wish I could use VMWare as the converter allows to transform their old computer in a virtual machine that is very easy, but if the network does not work then I'll be forced to use something else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fine thanks

David

Add the following options in the .vmx config file. (Not the .vmxf file attached you!)

ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000".

Ethernet1.virtualDev = "e1000".

Do it with the stop the virtual machine, do not suspended and closed VMware Player.

  • Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 upgrade of the Atheros AR5007EG wireless network adapter

I just bought a new device Sierra Wireless mobile hotspot, the Pro of the Sprint Overdrive.  The wifi connection works very well in my PC with the exception of a PC set that I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack two.  I am told that the problem is with Vista and the Atheros AR5007EG wireless network adapter.  The current version is 7.6.0.164 and it tells me the device Overdrive only with version 9.1.0.328 or higher will.  What I can, and if I can, how to move the driver to the required version?

My built in network adapter was not installed when my laptop has been formatted. Please help me find a way to find and reinstall. I don't get the right answers from the help page.

You get the drivers from the manufacturer.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

  • Adapter Intel dual AND installed - VM shows the Intel Pro/MT network adapter?

    Hi all

I installed a dual adapter Intel AND in my host of ESXi v4.0.

Loaded the driver through "vihostupdate out connection-bundle" > ok.

    INT-intel-lad-ddk-igb-1.3.19.12.1-offline_bundle-185976.zip

The problem is that when I use this card in a VM it appears like an Intel pro/MT as a dual adapter Intel network card AND.

In my view, this means that the NETWORK card will not work correctly.

Advanced properties do not show the Intel network card options AND has.

    My question is:

-How do I find and "bind" the good driver for this NETWORK adapter?

    Thank you Jaap

    PS

I had set it up correctly on this system before.

To test my installation doc, I started on.

You will never see the physical NIC in the comments because he comes to virtualized hardware. Either you see map of VMware or em, regulated Intel E1000.

When you see how an Intel adapter in the prompt the vNIC is defined on the type Intel E1000. You can also choose to use different "vmxnet» types

However, the drivers, you need to come with VMWare tools, you must install in each guest. While the type of vNIC "e1000" can be used with the drivers shipped with the guest operating system, you need VMWare tools if you use type of vNIC «vmxnet»

    Hello

That can occur if the network adapter does not work. For example, hardware problem.

If the card is equipped with a card, check in the BIOS if it is enable.

If not, try another PCI card (shouldn't cost more than $10).

  • How fast is the Atheros AR5007EG wireless network adapter?

I have an Atheros AR5007EG wireless network adapter in my computer. For six months, we have Broadbank 100Mbit/s in our House. When I call the support (support of the broadband company) they ask me to check if my computer can handle it. How can I check that?

    I think the Atheros AR5007EG is a 802. 11 b / g device. Which would have a maximum speed of 54 Mbps.

    For 100 Mbps, you need a Wireless N - 802.11n device.

  • Network adapter wireless Xbox 360 for use in Windows 7 64 bit?

I had a load of questions to try to locate the driver for the xbox 360 Wireless network adapter to use on my 64-bit windows computer 7. Is there a rare pilot that I've simply not found? or is there something entirely inconsistent with a material more old xbox 360? (The wireless card is USB and was purchased before the new black slim xbox 360 was introduced, back when is is big heavy and white)

Basically, I want the network card to give me a wireless connection to my router so I can move this PC in another room without the need of an Ethernet cable.

The XBox 360 Wireless network adapter seems to work only with the corresponding XBox 360 game console.  Microsoft seems to be releasing a Windows driver.

However, you should be able to find a completely Windows 7 compatible wireless adapter that must be connected to a USB port.

In addition, you can add an access port 'Wireless' that will add wireless networks to a router not wireless.
