No icon of Bluetooth device in the control panel of my Windows xp sp3

I can't install the bluetooth mobile phone because there is no Bluetooth device icon in the control panel. I use Windows xp sp3. Can someone tell me what I need to do?

Hi naturalmente.

What is the number and the model of the device you are trying to connect?

Check the conditions below are true:

1. If there are several Bluetooth devices connected to your computer, temporarily remove the devices you want to solve not. If there are other USB devices, try to remove all USB devices that you do not have to be installed during the troubleshooting process. If you have several devices that are connected using USB, this can interfere with a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver.

2. check that the Bluetooth device that you want to solve is turned on and that it is enabled.

3. check the status of the Bluetooth support service:

a. to open the snap Microsoft Management Console (MMC) for Services in Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type services.msc and click OK.

b. double-click the Bluetooth Support service.

c. If the Bluetooth Support service is stopped, click Start.

d. in the startup type list, click Automatic.

e. click the log.

f. click Local System account.

g. click OK.

h. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

4. search for the parameters below:

a. right click on the Bluetooth in the notification area icon and then click on view the Bluetooth settings.

b. on the Options tab, click to select the discovery of the Tower on the checkbox and then click on apply.

c. to enable Bluetooth devices to connect to your computer, click to select allow them Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer check box and then click OK.

  • Bluetooth in blackBerry Smartphones: Blackberry - GOLD-"Bluetooth devices" in the control panel Device Manager?

I am a beginner BB but computer user who slowly found pieces of the overall concepts of how my Blackberry is part of mail etc., servers local applications, Bluetooth, USB.  (Links to concepts of BB rather than appreciated step-by-step instructions!)

Here is my current problem: to connect my BB to my PC via Bluetooth it seems there are two places, I can do that: either in the "Bluetooth devices" item in Control Panel - or - in Device Manager Blackberry device with the button «Set up Bluetooth» connection tab

These two make it appear very similar windows that allow me to 'Add' a Bluetooth device, but they are clearly different applications.  What is the difference?  They are for the same purpose? Or are they totally different things such as plug in headphones to BB vs connect BB to the PC?

  • Missing audio device of the control panel.

Several days ago, I opened the control panel to troubleshoot an audio device. The Control Panel showed two audio devices:

    1: ATI PNP
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_1002 & DEV_AA01 & SUBSYS_00AA0100 & REV_1001\5 & B0AB116 & 0 & 0001

    2: REALTEK PNP
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_10EC & DEV_0888 & SUBSYS_103C2A92 & REV_1002\4 & 19 19054 & 0 & 0001 c

Both devices are still listed under system information/system/components tools, but:

At some point during the configuration of the device from Realtek, ATI device disappeared from the control panel. Since then, I have found no way to adjust its properties, much less put on the control panel.

The only other change observed: formerly the computer sounds internal (startup, error, stop, etc.) remained internal. Now, I can hear them through the external speakers - acceptable but not optimal.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Cannot open the control panel and workstation - "Windows Explorer has stopped working"

Original title - I can't open my computer or control panel.

I try to open my computer or control panel so I can uninstall something I think that may have caused a problem. When I try to do so, a window opens saying "Windows Explorer has stopped working". I don't know what to do. I think it was some game, I installed recently which caused this.

Restart your computer in safe mode by pressing F8 just before windows logo appears after intervention by the bios. And see if you can open my computer or control for safe mode. If you then uninstall the program/game where you doubt. also run msconfig and remove startup programs that you do not use frequently and do not trust. Also if you have recently added a toolbar or of any custom theme and then disable it. then reboot in normal mode and see if the problem persists. It will be useful.

    Good luck!
