  • Firefox opens, running Microsoft Security Essentials & Malwarebytes, nothing coming.

I have 18 installed Firefox. This is the third time that Firefox has stopped opening.

I ran Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials all three times and each time found any problems. The only thing that worked was (using Revo Uninstaller) uninstalling and reinstalling.

It has worked well for three weeks and stopped opening again last night.

Oh, and attempt to use the mozilla help screens in Internet Explorer is a nightmare...

And I tried to use the troubleshooter below, IE won't let either.

One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Satellite Pro A300: Problem with Microsoft Security Essentials

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 with XP SP3 and now deleted AVG Free and installed Microsoft Security Essentialls (MSE).

The result is after installing MSE and begin my laptop cursor is stuck in the center of the screen and will not respond to the inputs of the mouse or the keyboard.

In aid of F12 to get my startup options allowed me to try the Safe Mode and last known good Configuration etc but they all show the same functionality, IE freeze when the desktop appears. XP seems to be operating in the background, for example system clock stays on time, "notice" system if its wifi singal is removed etc.

Just to make the day to try to do an OS reinstall pressing 0 to on has no effect - system just boots in XP - so I can't my recovery partition!

I have now is not a HW problem as the /kbd cursor works if I boot into a non-windows system, for example UBUNTU CD

Any suggestions welcome - such as can I download a recovery on antother PC CD and burn a recovery CD?

    Hello

I have no idea what happened after installing Microsoft Security Essentials, but it seems that you are not able to access the files on the HARD drive
I think you need to reinstall the operating system using HARD drive recovery.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=58

But this would format the system partition :(

In order to save the files from the HARD drive, I recommend using / boot from a bootable floppy from Win PE.
Win PE (also called BartPE) is a thin window OS that is bootable CD and don t need to be installed on the HARD drive.

In addition to the question about the scheduled scan output after upgrade to Windows 7 to McAfee.Microsoft Security Essentials series instead of McAfee. The scan-out plan does not work.

Support McAfee tried to straighten my computer of conversation I understood the problem of the update disc. I want to ask a question to the update command:? many problems were very pushed us all after your update. How now to get out of this dung under the name Toshiba upgrades?

    Hey Buddy,

To be honest I don t know what you re talking about exactly. What has to do with Microsoft Security Essentials McAfee?

As far as I know it s recommended using a security program only. You must use a Microsoft or McAfee, but not both!

    Hello

See if you can uninstall your current version of MSE using Microsoft 'Fixit' at the following link: this is particularly useful for correcting problems that may prevent resettlement on the machines running a 64 bit OS.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  • Kaspersky and Windows Defender AKA Microsoft Security Essentials

As Kaspersky comes with new computers, it neutralizes or has any kind of problem with Windows Defender?

As we know 2 Antivirus somehow (disabled or not properly uninstalled) in a computer is a BIG no-no, how you handle this?

    Hello

It is not recommended to use two Antivirus at the same time. You can use Kaspersky or Microsoft Security Essential. Windows Defender is the defense against software spyware and other unwanted software. If Anti Virus is active and working then he will take over from Windows Defender. The things most important do not use two antivirus at the same time.

    Consult the following link:

  • Microsoft security essential 0x8007042c error code

Was online is about to download the 2007 office program, I clicked on something somewhere on the page, and then several windows started popping up everywhere. I couldn't close them so I closed my computer by pressing the power button.

When I logged on my desktop icons and the start menu task bar disappeared.  I couldn't go online. Many of my programs were disabled including Microsoft Security databases. I tried to uninstall my spy ware protection, it wouldn't let me.

I pushed the ctrl + alt + del, in Task Manager, I followed the instructions suggested due to an error, new task, sailed on explorer.exe, right click, renamed explorer1 (.exe).  I got my icons back, but still could not get online. When I restarted my computer, the icons disappeared again. I followed the previous steps, except that I replaced the Explorer with web address: http://www.google, co.za that grew up a blank web page, I have typed C: / / top of the page and continued after the rest of the multi step instructions. Where'd I get my old PC after that the call to close and log back were the same thing. No icons, no start menu, the taskbar, no internet access.

I work with a Windows xp Home sp3 than anything it will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for responding! I finally wipe the computer and starting over. It works well now, I'll keep in touch! Once again, thank you!

  • is my compatible Windows 7 ultimate to download the Microsoft Security removal tool

my windows is Windows 7 Ultimate copyright 2009 service pack 1... 32-bit operating system
Is it compatible to download the Microsoft removal tool and Microsoft security scanner because I tried to download it but I can't run it. What will make to run it?

You are in violation of the terms of the Windows license, you accepted when you installed Windows - and could be pursued by MS if they wanted.

You must purchase a legal Windows 7 Ultimate license and install this OR go back to the original OS with which the machine has been delivered (if all - of many machines in this area are sold free of any OS on the expectation that users will install their own choice.) The fact that your machine seems not to have a COA sticker, it seems be one of those).

Yes the two site you mention can help with malware problems - but it is unlikely, once they are aware of the status of your license.

McAfee would help - but if installation has already been compromised, it may be too late for such a solution. If McAfee was already installed at the start of your problems, it was ineffective, either you had not updated.

  • I have a game called minecraft and whenever I double click on it, it makes the windows of his mistake, I wonder microsoft security essentilials blocks? and how to unlock it?

whenever I double click on minecraft he asks me if I want to run it (this can have no help, but I have windows xp home edition) and when I click on run he made the mistake of windows.

I wonder if microsoft security databases blocks and how to unlock it?

also to let you know it worked perfectly before, during 1 month but then this happened.

IT IS THE WAY TO REINSTALL THE GAME
Maybe you can solve the problem by opening it to the root folder
example:(C:\Documents And Settings\Minecraft\Minecraft.exe) is just an example, not true
    buy the game at www.minecraft.net/store
and install the standalone Executive for the game: https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/launcher/Minecraft.exe
    then install the multiplayer "optional".
    Server: https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/launcher/Minecraft_Server.exe
or play free online with java:
    Solo: www.minecraft.net/classic/play
    Multiplayer: www.minecraft.net/classic/list.
For the multiplayer mode, you will need to choose a server, and then you will be redirected to the game
or download the game on all download sites free minecraft, that you can find. (although I don't know whether they are legal or not)
