No more don't FAVORITE of all THE TABS option?

It has been that the bookmarking feature would allow you to "bookmark all tabs" in a single folder. I used it to organize the results of research by day and he has been very helpful. Is it still possible to do this in an improved version?

  • Sometimes I want to just close ONLY a window, but Firefox closes all THE TABS, and I don't want to!

Sometimes, I open multiple windows, especially from my box from Comcast. When I'm through with this window, I will conclude, but leave others more open. FIrefox won't do this anymore when I close the 1 window, Firefox send me a message stating that it is to CLOSE all THE TABS. I DON'T want TO CLOSE all of them, I want to just close the window I close!. This is very annoying, because I have to re - login to all, because FIrefox is 'CLOSE all THE TABS', and everything I want to do to close a window... I'm about to chuck this browser... I tried to find an answer to this in the tools, but was unable to do so. Please help me with this

Make sure that you do not click the X close in the title bar like that closes the active window with all the tabs.

If you have the tab bar visible then click the X close this tab or mid, tab, or use the shortcut Ctrl + W key to close the tab.

If the resulting tab bar hidden then see:

The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.

    Hope that helps.

  • 20.0.1 updated: right click on the page displays all THE menu options, many (all?) don't work, no 'view page source', not 'open in a new tab '.

After 20.0.1 a few hours ago, click Update right displays all THE menu options, do not work a lot (all?), as 'view page source', 'open in a new tab' etc etc.

To clarify, this happens if you have the active Firebug 1.10.6 addon.
You can fix it by updating to the version of Firebug 1.11.2

    Here's how:
Go to your add-ons Manager, right-click on the Firebug add-on and select 'Find updates'.

    Hope that helps.

  • Using Sansung S3, not yet possible to share all the tabs opened (using NFC) with another phone NFC. But only the a main tab, I'm currently browsing is possible.

Sansung S3 using, Android 4.1.2 Firefox 24.0; not yet possible to share all the tabs opened (using NFC) with another phone NFC. But only the a main tab, I'm currently browsing is possible to share. It is the function of current NFC function of Firefox?
If so, when will it feature to share all the tabs?
    Thank you.

I don't know if we implement this. Sharing of all the tabs you have open have many security and privacy issues. Someone forget that they had a tab open, they didn't want to share or miss-clicks on the sharing of all the option.

We are looking for ways to better share tabs with devices that are located nearby. Especially if they are on the same WiFi network.

  • Can I set up a new window to open without all the tabs in the current window opwning?

I have a new computer at work with what must be a new version of firefox. I use several windows to do my job. When I open a new window, all the tabs in the current window open in a new. I'm wondering how to set up a new window to open a blank page or just my homepage?

I restarted Firefox, and I changed the settings of the homepage one a different choice and return to the page you want and then restarted Firefox again. This eliminated all initial tabs opening to open in the new window. I don't know how all the pages have been cached or what I should have done, but I don't have that problem anymore.

TB 31.5.0 Win 7 after the TAB key for the automatic update no longer creates new address line "write" (enter the done key) but I want the TAB key! Why is - this seems to happen after each automatic update? Cant we get 'option' to use the TAB key to navigate through the lines of address "write"?

TAB through the fields that exist. It is the function of the TAB.

Otherwise you could never use TAB to go out in a field for example: subject. It would create an indefinate number of fields and are unable to function as a TAB key.

TAB does not back to THE fields,
New crests to THE fields or donkey typing/selection enter/return address, you can use the selection of mouse click.

  • Manual configuration of the proxy don't glue - don't stay - pass when the tabs.

Suddenly, in the 27 new FF, when I manually set a proxy, it turns off (goes back to the 'No proxy') when I tabs or open a new tab. He used to stay up until I turned it off. I want him to stay through all the tabs up to what I turn it off, as he used to do. Also, I have this problem, if I use fast Proxy.

    Any suggestions? Thank you.

  • Firefox has lost all the tabs and bookmarks on startup.

Computer ran out of memory, I quit firefox because he did not like it usually does, and then when I restarted, all the Favorites have disappeared, the bookmarks bar is now empty and all the Add-ons have disappeared from the top of the browser, but not the background. However, all the Add-ons are still there, but not all work (e.g. further development of Reddit). I tried to restore the bookmarks or even import chrome, but this says it fails in the first case and terminates the process, but nothing happens in the second.

What is going on? I really don't want to switch to chrome after using firefox for more than 5 years.

  • When I open firefox v 37.0.2 that open all the tabs from the previous session, I do want my homepage tab to open

This problem started when I refreshed recently Fire Fox due to other problems I had. Options > general > fire fox on startup is set to 'show my home page ". In the support forum, I found another user with the same problem and the solution for him had to do with the user.js file in the profile folder? Subject: config? In any case, the answer was to delete that file, or better yet delete all the text in it and save this file empty and set it to read only to prevent it from reappearing. That's all beyond me and my skinny computer knowledge and I don't even know if I have a user.js file. Help, please

My problem is now solved. I don't know if there's someone else out there who would do what I did, but just in case, I'll tell you at the end of the day, what was causing the multiple tabs to open every time I opened Firefox, at least as far as I understand. While I contemplated the helpful response more returned hoping to understand what was wrong with my Firefox, my son has shown out of town and 5 minutes, he found out what I did wrong. In Options > general > Home Page, I got an address which included not only the home page I wanted 'Google News', but apparently the addresses of all the other tabs this guarded appearance until when I started towards the top of Firefox. Maybe it's not exactly the right explanation, but change the homepage to "News.google.fr" solved the problem. Thanks to everyone out there who gave their best to help me, I'm sure it's hard to solve problems like that when he would never come to you that someone would do the things they do. Thanks again.

Now the options listed we Favorites, homepage, an empty Page, same Page.

Once again, as a guest user, restore my previous tabs is available.

I don't know what I could have done to change these options.
