Windows updates always fail for Windows 7

I use Windows 7 Home Premium and all my updates fail, I tried everything, don't know what else to do?  I'm worried about security without these updates.

To help you, we would need more information about the error you receive. Several times, you will get an error code in the 0x000000format.

As a first step, you can try to reset the Windows Update components. Download and run the Microsoft Fixit using the link below:

  • KB2771431 update always fails to install.

I tried several times to install the KB2771431 update (automatically, manually,), and it always fails. I have a problem with the use of the resources that this update fixes supposedly so I would install it.

    Hello

I have experienced the same problem for KB2771431 and KB2820197 on Windows 8 x 64. I solved the problem by following these steps:
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Run the prompt as an administrator (http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/elevated-command-prompt-windows-8.htm).
    3. Type net stop wuauserv and press ENTER.
    4. Type Rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.Old and press ENTER.
    5. Type net start wuauserv , and then press on enter.
    6. Restart your computer.
    7. Recheck the Windows updates and install them. After the installation is complete, restart your computer.
    8. Repeat step 7 until there is no new update doesn't appear on Windows Update.
  • Windows updates always fail

Both manual and automatic Windows updates do not always succeed. I get the message "configuration of the Windows updates failed. Restoration of the changes. Do not turn off your computer. "I use Windows 8.

I tried the "following": restart the computer, disconnect the removable media to your computer, run the windows update utility, install updates windows in a clean boot state. None have worked.

When I view the news, updates failed, its especially Code 8024200d, but a little Code 800F0826 with Code 800703F1. Still, the troubleshooting solutions windows links you to support these mistakes have not worked.

It comes in combination with an abundance of other issues, such as the Windows not opening not store (and you bet I tried all the "solutions" for this too) and problems to install a number of programs that all end in "roll back action" due to an error and problems with my computer, identify devices like cell phones and ipods because of driver/USB problems.

I also tried to update the PC, but I get the error "unable to find the necessary files.

  • Windows Update always looking for updates

    Hello!

I hope I can get assistance from the Microsoft Community - because my attempts to solve this problem have failed.

I'm on a desktop HP running Windows 7 SP1. I was not able to update my computer since July 2015. I understand it takes a bit to search for updates, it's been so long, but I let it run for 24 hours before with no luck.

I've tried several things: ensure that I have Internet Explorer installed, change background Intellegence on and automatic Services, research on internet of different solutions, as if it was my home network (which it was not, because my laptop HP with Windows 7 SP 1 searched and installed updated fine, same WITH the KBs downloaded and added icons for Windows 10 upgrade).

I ran the Windows Update Agent FixIt, and had some time trying to solve an error - finally corrected the error and it still isn't doing anything for hours. (So total, the FixIt Agent returns without error now.)

Please help save me some valuable time and mental health in guiding me in the right direction of how I might solve this problem. I incline strongly technologically and can probably understand instructions or steps that I give myself, I don't know what to do anymore.

Please try with the installation of the four edits listed here:

  • Adobe holds download updates for my CS5 (I need not cloud), but the installation of update always fails. Adobe won't talk to my phone or respond to a direct query so how do I get these updates to work or stop their download every few weeks.

Can someone help with this stupid non-functional updates for my Photoshop CS5.

The best way is to download and install the updates manually. Let's start with this one:

First go to help > System Info and take note of the exact version of Photoshop on the first line: 12.0 or 12.0.4

    Download and install this update:

Adobe - Photoshop: for Macintosh: Adobe Photoshop 12.0.4 updated for Adobe Photoshop CS5 or

Adobe - Photoshop: For Windows: Adobe Photoshop 12.0.4 updated for Adobe Photoshop CS5

Check version again information under help > system information.

Let me know how it went.

  • wireless lan driver installation update always fail and the update corrupted my wireless driver I use Samsung series 5

Updates were recently fired the SW update. I have installed all the other updates the BIOS etc successfully, with the exception of the wireless Lan driver. Instead of doing an update, it has disabled my wireless totally when he said that the installation has failed.

During my first attempt, I downloaded the driver 100%. Then a pop up message appeared saying that "the installation may take several minutes", and then another Intel logo appears and disappears, but said later that he could not install. After that, I get disconnected from my internet connection. No sign of wireless activity were found. I tried to watch the wireless icon and it was gone. I tried to solve the problem and it says that the only device for my wireless connection is Bluetooth.

I thought it was just the problem of internet connectivity, so I tried to download the next day, but this time while being connected to a local network. The same thing happened to downloaded 100% and does not once again during installation. I just want you to know that I closed all applications and my laptop plugged in during installation if it helps your troubleshooting. I asked SAMSUNG support and they told me that the problem is with Microsoft, so I should ask them.

I tried to update for like 5 or more times, but it's the same thing. I use my laptop for work and it's like I can't live without my wireless LAN are not always available. Download of the update becomes tedious because I have to wait like half an hour to finish the download only to find out that the installation will fail. I searched his driver I can install it manually but its nowhere to be found, looks like I'm stuck with SW update
