No Netflix / Internet TV in Media Center

Original title: Media center problems

Microsoft has found how to fix Media center losing even Netflix and internet TV? I tried everything I found on the web but no luck so that they return again.

Barb, finally got it work. Used start/wait %windir%\ehome\mcupdate.exe - u-nogc, then the icons appeared. Had to remove Internet TV and Netflix in Add and remove programs and then reinstall both to get pass the phase of installation for them. Everything seems to work now. Hope this helps someone else.

  • How can I get my netflix to work on media center

  • Problems with Netflix Plugin for Windows Media Center

I'd rather watch Netflix through my windows media center, since I can use a remote control, and I watch on a screen more great all in the comfort of my couch.

It is a huge pain in the rear to have to use the browser Netflix program and must be implemented on the second monitor. So just by using the browser is not a solution.

That being said, I can not play videos. On Windows Media Center, I open the Netflix plugin, log on to the account, access my instant queue, click on a movie, and then click play. It changes the blue background of the screen, and a small circle of spinning that tells it to load upwards. But then he just argued right out to the previous screen... which is description/options of the selected film (read, delete, find others like it).

I tried various films of selections. I tried to disconnect and return signature. Restarted the computer. Even uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin from Netflix, BOTH the Silverlight program. No chance whatsoever.

I contacted Microsoft and they are stumped on this. I was wondering if there is anyone here who had this problem and fixed.

Hmmm well the problem fixed itself somehow.

I tried to play a movie again today, and when I click on play, a windows media center style dialog box appears and asks something in the sense of knowing if I wanted WMC to access my netflix account. I clicked 'Yes', and it has loaded the film. I had not seen this before dialog box...

So I pressed the back button and tried again to see if it was indeed fixed. Yes. I tried again and again with different movies... and it WORKED!

I guess that the problem is not from my system, but rather netflix or something.

  • NO internet tv in media center on Windows 8

Is there Internet TV in media center on windows 8? If so, how can I get it?

    Thank you

Microsoft no longer see the PC as the center of entertainment, that's for sure.
emphasis is Xbox. And the Xbox is moving in the same direction as the Apple TV.

  • Cannot display the error using Netflix page in Windows Media Center

Hello I use Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Media Center. I watched titles on Netflix in the past successfully in Windows Media Center, but today I get this error when I click to play a title:

Cannot display the page. Windows Media Center cannot open the page.  Contact technical support for the program.

    And so here I am.

I see all of the titles on my queue when I click on the Netflix icon, so obviously I am connected and connect, but cannot actually look at all the titles.

    Thanks for your help

What is the error you get when you try to watch Netflix from the browser?
    What browser do you use?

Go to start, all programs, Microsoft Silverlight and open Microsoft Silverlight.

The tab of the Configuration window About, let us know which Version you have installed.
Go to the Read tab, and then make sure that the enabled for playback of content protected.
Then go to the Application Storage tab, select the Netflix web site from the list and then click on Remove to remove it. There may be more than one listed Netflix website, for each of them.

After the changes, try once again, Netflix in Media Center and browser.

You can also try reinstalling Silverlight by going to start, Control Panel, uninstall a program, select Microsoft Silverlight, and then click on uninstall and cross the guests. After uninstalling to joinhttp://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default.aspx and reinstall Silverlight.

  • Internet of Windows media center tv missing tiles.

    Hello:

Lately I had problems with Windows Media Center (WMC). When you click on internet tv tile, read the message "no content available) and just hung on this screen. Until recently, after clicking on the internet tv of tiles, I had several tiles it contains with many programs available. After some research, I found a thread here on social responses and followed the instructions. I went in the ehome folder and delete all its content and now internet tv tile is missing.

Any suggestions on how to bring him back?

I tried uninstall WMC and reinstall, but cannot find a way to uninstall it.

I don't know if this is related but I'll post anyway; Recently, I noticed that some programs were not registered even after programming of the series to be recorded. Then I noticed that there was no information of programming after a date and a time. After some research, I found that my firewall was blocking mcupdate and ehome mcupdate to access internet. I think he corrected by adjusting the settings in my firewall.

Installed tuner card / WMC in September of this year and so far, has worked without problem.

    System information:

Windows 7 Home premium running on HP P6310f

    AMD Athlon II x 4

    64 bit OS

    Thanks in advance

    Hello, Jose

You are in the United States, the United Kingdom or another region?
Internet TV is not available outside the US / UK.

Are you using the built in Windows Firewall or another?
What security software do you use?

If you do not use the built in Windows Firewall, make sure that the executable files in c:\windows\ehome\ are allowed through.

In addition, try reinstalling Internet TV.

First, go to start, Control Panel, uninstall a program, then check if Internet TV for Windows Media Center is listed. If this is the case, select it and choose uninstall.

Then go to start, all programs, accessories, click with the right button on command prompt and choose Run as administrator. At the command prompt, run the following command and press ENTER: start/wait %windir%\ehome\mcupdate - uf-nogc

After it is finished running, open Media Center and check if Internet TV is available or not.

  • Netflix in Media Center does not work anymore

I am running Windows 7 Professional, and until yesterday had zero problems watch netflix via media center on my pc that I use as a HTPC.  I don't know what happened, but now I can watch Netflix in Media Center, or with a film from my browser to start.  It gives me the same error every time, a code error and said he had problems with signature and try closing and restarting the program.  However, he has no problem logging into my account and see my queue of the movies that he simply doesn't play anymore.  I tried to come back to Silverlight version 3 based on somehing I read elsewhere, but also reinstalled all the dependencies for Netflix and Internet TV in Media Center with no luck.  In addition, I did a system restore on the eve of problems, left with no luck.  Netflix said that this is a known Microsoft issue and they can't help with it?   I have confirmed that I can not connect and watch netflix on any other computer in my house is not my account network or netflix, only this HTPC.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Netflix works only in Windows Media Center

For the last 3 weeks I can not connect to Netflix using Windows Media Center. I have a message saying "he has a signature issue. Check the operation of your Internet connection and try again. "My internet connection works. I can connected to Netflix using IE and Firefox. I can also on other web pages. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

See the following information about the Netflix support:

Article number: 972151 - support limits for Netflix in Windows Vista Media Center

Make sure that you have installed the installation package of Netflix for the media
Center. You can download the package from Microsoft Download Center:
    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=147175&clcid=0x409

You will also need to have Silverlight installed. I would like to check in the iewer event to see if you have error messages in the application or system event logs that reference Netflix or Windows Media Center, or Silverlight.

    Note

To open Event Viewer: click on the Start button. In the search box, type and then event viewer from the list of results, double-click Event Viewer.
