  • Internet of Windows media center tv missing tiles.

    Hello:

Lately I had problems with Windows Media Center (WMC). When you click on internet tv tile, read the message "no content available) and just hung on this screen. Until recently, after clicking on the internet tv of tiles, I had several tiles it contains with many programs available. After some research, I found a thread here on social responses and followed the instructions. I went in the ehome folder and delete all its content and now internet tv tile is missing.

Any suggestions on how to bring him back?

I tried uninstall WMC and reinstall, but cannot find a way to uninstall it.

I don't know if this is related but I'll post anyway; Recently, I noticed that some programs were not registered even after programming of the series to be recorded. Then I noticed that there was no information of programming after a date and a time. After some research, I found that my firewall was blocking mcupdate and ehome mcupdate to access internet. I think he corrected by adjusting the settings in my firewall.

Installed tuner card / WMC in September of this year and so far, has worked without problem.

    System information:

Windows 7 Home premium running on HP P6310f

    AMD Athlon II x 4

    64 bit OS

    Thanks in advance

    Hello, Jose

You are in the United States, the United Kingdom or another region?
Internet TV is not available outside the US / UK.

Are you using the built in Windows Firewall or another?
What security software do you use?

If you do not use the built in Windows Firewall, make sure that the executable files in c:\windows\ehome\ are allowed through.

In addition, try reinstalling Internet TV.

First, go to start, Control Panel, uninstall a program, then check if Internet TV for Windows Media Center is listed. If this is the case, select it and choose uninstall.

Then go to start, all programs, accessories, click with the right button on command prompt and choose Run as administrator. At the command prompt, run the following command and press ENTER: start/wait %windir%\ehome\mcupdate - uf-nogc

After it is finished running, open Media Center and check if Internet TV is available or not.

I had never used Windows Media Center until I saw a video of a person using a console Xbox 360 as an Extender so I got interested and downloaded the Media Center and added my Xbox as an Extender. Then I noticed on several videos other users with a "Online media" tab right on the 'Sports' tab and above the 'Tasks' tab However, this is not the case on my Windows Media Center on my PC or my Xbox 360. I did a lot of research trying to find a solution and made a "Auto fix" download as well as in numerous trouble shooting research and reinstall nothing doesn't. • Why Windows Media Center does not display tile of Internet TV?

    Does not accept downloads

    Hello, Packard37

You are in the US, UK or elsewhere?

Internet TV is available only in the United States and the United Kingdom - assuming that you are located in the United States / UK:

Check your region settings in Windows. Go to start > Control Panel > clock, language and region > region and language. On the location tab, make sure that the country is selected in the administration tab, make sure that the language is also correct as well, otherwise click the settings change system locale.

Go to start, all programs, accessories, click with the right button on command prompt and choose Run as administrator. At the command prompt, run the following command and press ENTER: start/wait %windir%\ehome\mcupdate - uf-nogc

After you run this command, open Media Center and check if it is available, otherwise, you may need to reset the Media Center, note that this operation removes all custom settings and you will need to re-run the installation again:

Open the command prompt, as described above once again and then type the following command and press ENTER: MediaCenterRecoveryTask - %SystemRoot%\ehome\mcupdate.exe

One time only complete, open Media Center and run through the configuration. If you do not immediately see the Internet TV, let Media Center open for about 5-10 minutes, then restart and check if it is available or not.

  • Internet TV is not available in Windows Media Center

I upgraded four machines to Windows 7. Two of them were clean installs and Netflix and Internet TV options are available. However, two of the machines made an upgrade on the spot and Netflix and Internet TV options are not available. Is there an update available so that I can update Windows Media Center on these machines? If this is not the case, how can I get that option?

    Thank you
    Bill

The following has worked for me in the Canada:

Open Control Panel, select clock, language and region

Select the location to change and change in the United States

Select the administration tab and change settings English (United States) system locale and save changes

then delete the contents of the c:\programdata\ehome folder (I moved content in a folder temporary everything first just in case...)

Launch Media Center, download updates, shut it down after receiving notification of download completed (if your not sure its finished, you can check the Media Center icon in the notification bar, if it has an arrow toward the low point over-buried on it, its download yet)

restart the Media Center and select TV and Internet TV so the Guide should be there.

Note some of the programming of a regional protection based on the ip address, so some channels will be always blocked

I've read other messages indicating Internet TV once was performed for the first time, you can change the settings of the control panel you actual location, but I did not and does not check what I prefer to let my settings as USA because I think faster using the SAE measures instead of the metric.

  • Windows Media Center - Internet TV - availability and navigation of the full episodes.

With regard to the full episodes of Windows Media Center - Internet TV.

I've seen a few questions about this in the Microsoft Answers forum, but 2 / 3 times the official response was unrelated to the question asked. So, to be clear, I'm not talking about watching live TV, navigation in my TV guide, TV recording, or watch recorded TV shows. It's strictly about the availability of the property and to navigate to find full episodes on Internet TV.

There are a few ridiculous clips ginormous and only a small handful of full episodes. I hate clips. In a busy life, they are the opposite of the useful. So, instead of going through every single show individually to see if it contains full episodes, I want a way to browse shows with full episodes. Is this a problem of training or an enhancement request? Is there a way to filter the full episodes only?

I would also like to be able to filter my search of full episodes. It seems ridiculous to me if I want to just full episodes, I have to go through a long list of clips in the search results to find. Again... ask for the issue or the development of training?

I'm also confused why some shows that have full episodes on the site of the network do not have full episodes in WMC Internet TV. I know it's a matter of content and perhaps not something, you can contact... is it be restricted by networks?

    Thank you!!

    Hello

All the content comes from the provider.  I hate watching the clips too and there is not much Microsoft can do about it. It is sometimes frustrating to go through all the clips to find full episodes. The only thing you can do is to provide feedback to microsoft to enhance the functionality of Media Center search to find full episodes.

Here's what you need to configure Internet TV on your computer:

    ·         Have an active Internet connection.

    ·         Complete the installation of Windows Media Center.

    ·         Wait a few minutes for an automatic download complete.

If you do not see these items of menu in a few minutes after the installation, go to:

After you download updates, these menu items appear in the Windows Media Center Start menu:

  • Windows Media Center Internet TV

When I try to access internet TV via Media Center, I have a box saying that it is not available in the Canada. I live in the State of New York. How can I fix it?

    Hello runner55,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forums.

Check if task | Settings | General | Automatic download options has both the 'recycled CD album art... of the internet' and 'download automatically... '. "options checked? If both are checked, then click the 'Download now' and if you are prompted, walk through the internet connection wizard, then click again on the button 'Download now'.
If you get the notification that the download was successful, then return to the start menu and you should see internet TV and Netflix.

If you're still having problems, then I suggest that you post at www.thegreenbutton.com \forums. It is a Microsoft Website and only deal with themes Windows Media Center.
They would be better placed to help with your problem.
