No Presets ProRes HQ

The provided Adobe shortlisted are ProRes 422 and and ProRes LT but no ProRes HQ, which is that I work with. Is it possible to get HQ soul presets?

You can create your own presets ProRes HQ in SOUL CS6. You can even export and share presets with others, files if you wish.

An easy way is to create your own HQ ProRes preset is to go to the preset browser and find a ProRes 422 or pre-set LT who is close to the settings you want to use. Right-click on it and choose presets. Change the name of the preset, then change the ProRes HQ codec and all other settings that you want to customize. Then click on save a copy. Your ProRes HQ custom preset appears in the presets section and user groups and you can now close the predefined dialog box settings for ProRes 422 or LT you started with.

ProRes 422 and ProRes LT were chosen based on the discussions we had with users before the release of the CS6 SOUL. If you think we should include parameters predefined for other ProRes codecs, please file a feature request . As mentioned, you can also create and share presets yourself, you don't have to wait for Adobe to make them.

    Michael,

Thank you for your response. After the call to Adobe and them telling me that this is a known issue and return to CS6 prelude, which offered clips without audio. I went in first to transcode and was curious to know if I set the preset it would it appear as a prelude, instead of using Media Encoder for do and alto ' it worked.

I got work around it.  Versions of that I use are the following: Prelude CC is v1.0, Media Encoder v2014.2 build 8.2.0.54 and Premiere Pro v2014.2 build 8.2.0 (65)

So thank you in any case, and for those who need the solution here is one.

  • How can I set up a project for ProRes? All the presets appear to be digital.

This is increasingly the topic I posted earlier on ProRes on a PC.

When you configure a newproject under ProdPremium, all the presets are for a variety of digital cameras. Nothing seems to ProRes. Is how important it?

Today, I finally have my scanned negatives of return, but it was delivered to me ProRes, that is not what I asked for. Well. I need to go to work. If the screens below are what we see when we prepare to rock and roll, but nothing is what I need. What choose?

I scanned at 1080 p ProRes (shooting 24 fps) to change with Super 8 mm images. I want to have a 5.1 track.

Mounted ProdPremium CS5, Premiere Pro, of course.

As my other questions, once I know how to do this once, I won't have to ask again. I search before you get in. I promise you.

There is the question, once my editing is done, will I have trouble making my final master since I'm on a PC? No idea.

On a PC, you won't have preset ProRes, but you should be able to read and modify it without problem.

  • Is it possible to ingest 1080 p, video AVCHD 60 p in Apple Prores 422 while keeping 1080 p?

I just finished a shoot which consisted mainly of filmed at 60 p, 1080 p.  I'm shooting AVCHD on a Panasonic GH3.  I am looking for transcode my footage in Apple ProRes 422 LT while maintaining my resolution and 1080 p 60 fps frame rate.  However, the only 60 p option I see is in 720 p.  Is there a way to keep my footage 60 p in 1080 p as Apple's Prores?

I usually shoot in 24 p without problems swallowing, then this company 60 p is alien to me.  All advice is appreciated.

    Thank you.

If you open Adobe Media Encoder and click on "RESET" then "create Preset" you can create your own custom preset ProRes. Simply choose "QuickTime", then a presets ProRes that's closest to what you want (Apple ProRes 422 (LT) - HD 1080 p 29.97 for example). Then go down to the "basic video settings" and change the pace at 59.94 or 60. This new preset will appear the next time you open prelude. I hope it works for you.

  • ProRes and the creation of a sequence in PP CS6

I fight to establish an import preset prores 422 in my first cs6 on windows. Googling has suggested that I have set up a custom sequence. • Media encoder do not have preset for ProRes 4 k or UHD, has only for Avid

I want to transcode my original MXF 4 k (actually UHD) of sony x 70 to ProRes for editing PP in 2015, but even the new update has no ProRes 4 k presets.  There are full frame presets of size for DNxHR MXF OP1a (for Avid) but nothing for 4 k ProRes for editing of PP.  Is there a "Preset"? I don't know, you can leave out the originals in PP but hear the originals H264 wrapper isn't good for editing re applications on system. So I want to transcode to proRes but keep the UHD image size. I have been informed that rates vary according to the size of the image and the pace, Adobe should therefore ProRes settings you can download. Someone knows?

A number of things.  First of all, the presets are just a shortcut to a group of settings that you can use again and again.  You can always make your own if you don't see one that you need.

Second, try Cineform.  The quality is just as good as ProRes and publishes it smooth as silk.  In addition, there is already a "Preset" for her.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thank you!

    Hi Mike,.

I have had no trouble to create a setting preset in Adobe Media Encoder and have it appear in Adobe prelude. Please try this: Ingesting media clips

I do not know the legacy presets, that you try to download are actually functional in the current versions of Adobe applications, or not. I guess not. If they do not appear, you can seek to create new ones, as described in the help.

    Thank you

  • Download Apple ProRes 422 Presets first

If anyone knows anything about downloading presets Apple ProRes 422 first, so you can actually use them in a project as a parameter of sequence?

    I can download them here: http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5411 & starts = 5030

But I don't know how to actually get in first?

The files that you downloaded is pertinent to CS6. If you are using an older version of CS6 of Adobe Media Encoder then:

    1. download and unpack desired predefined packages

    2. start SOUL

    3. in Panel Preset browser, click on the button import Presets and select desired presets (excerpts)

  • Really there 22 hours for SOUL to transcode 1 hour of ProRes apcn for presetting of YouTube?

My question is, "it will always take this long?

If you have not already verified my information system to it, I'm at the end of a 6 years old HP 8400.  I (finally) got the OK to acquire a new system.  I know that this new system (http://www.pugetsystems.com/saveconfig.php?id=111597) will improve 'timeline' speed and preview of After Effects & rendering and must export most of the CODECs much faster, I'm concerned about the work of transcoding straight I do in the SOUL.  More precisely ProRes to something else.

The company for which I work steps and produces a lot of live corporate events.  I create content for the event, then the handle whatever the client wants done with recorded images later.  Sometimes, it's the complete boat and sometimes it's just for them to share internally and on its Web site.  Whatever it is, generally the first thing they want is to just see the images.  So, regardless of what would later become images, I have run through the SOUL and turn it into H.264 using YouTube friendly preset.

Currently, on my aging machine, SOUL uses only about 30% of my 8 cores.  Only 7-8 GB of my 20GB of ram and, of course, 0% of my GTX285.  So, should I assume that lack of CODEC, SOUL will take much longer to transcode on a machine with twice the kernels (including higher clock speeds) and 3 times the ram?  Will be just use even less of the system and even to last 22 hours?  I see at least a reduction in time in the transition from DDR - 2 DDR-3 and other benefits of latency lower current material?

I was going to include the "MediaInfo" for the source and the final files as well as the newspaper of the SOUL and some other info, but since I have this done already a wall of text, stay until what someone needs to answer my question.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jason

BTW - I've been using Adobe products since the middle of the 1990s (4.0 first, After Effects "Melmet") and I've been lurking here and scraping info from all of you there are at least 2 Forums this is my first post in the forum "new".

    Hi Jason,

How can I put things in perspective for you? Looks like you don't know what to expect, which is understandable when you use really old hardware. And what first version are you running?

Computer technology comes from leaps and bounds in recent years, nothing short of amazing! From CS5, first now uses the GPU (graphics card) to provide acceleration of mounting hardware and effects, using the Mercury playback engine. The maximum permissible error can operate on CPU only, but it makes a world of difference when using GPU hardware as well. Of course the software and the OS are 64-bit now, which really helps, especially with the large amount of RAM allowed.

Years, it was almost mandatory to get a machine with two processors for editing. Core i7 quad-core machines today essentially have 4 processors on a single chip, it's like having more than one processor. "Multithreading" there, so 4 hearts resemble 8 cores for the software.

So, basically, any recent Core i7 machine will do a great job of editing and export of images HD of first CS6. Many effects, titles, superposition and scaling of the video all is possible without a red bar! I stacked 15 or 20 layers of 1080i AVCHD once, make several PIPs on the screen, and it played smoothly without a framework.

If you work mainly with the first and yet, then a machine 4-core or 6-core i7 will make most very happy publishers. If After Effects is a big part of your flow of work, and/or 3D animation, where a double-XEON machine can make a difference. Really well, first, you would see little difference. Time is in real time, a machine 11 k $ is not do it faster.

On a machine nice i7 costs $3-5 k, you should expect to export H.264 in real time or better. With a DV film, goes to the MPEG-2 DVD format, a timeline of two hours can be exported in unnder 10 minutes. Seriously. The audio .wav a timeline of two hours? Seconds for export.

Puget is a company respected using gear nice and if you feel the need to 'the best of the best' and have the budget to save it, this system of 11 k $ will certainly rock. We are also an Adobe Certified System Integrator and is happy to consult and provide the price of comparison as well.

  • In the same timeline combining ProRes HQ MP4 and AVC footage

About to start a new documentary project. In the past, we used almost exclusively images of Sony MP4 with clips of occasional STROKE, but on this new project I want to include images ProRes HQ for interior maintenance segments. Some quite long. Edited with PrPro CS6. No risk in that? Suggestions and advice much appreciated.

It's no problem to the CS6. Assuming you're on a PC? I do shoots of the event of two cameras, a record AVCHD and other ProRes (using the recorder Atomos Ninja 2) and make a schedule of more than 2.5 hours with no problems. Several projects like this every summer.

I hope that all clips are the 'format' even like 1080 p 29.97? Regardless of the codec used, best results are had when rates are all the same for the source clips.

The predefined sequence you choose not necessarily must match the images in the name, as long as the specifications match, that's what counts. As you might find presets for ARRI, AVCHD and DSLR with the same settings on the inside, such as 1920 x 1080, 29.97 images, 1.0 Pixel progressive Aspect. Wouldn't matter one choose it, if the images meet these parameters.

First is really flexible with the mixture of different types of media on the timeline.

  • Conversion of image sequence Cineon LOG in Apple ProRes 4444 XQ in Media Encoder CS6

    Hello

I have a sequence of images Cineon LOG I want to convert to Apple ProRes 4444 XQ, but I'm not sure of the procedure.

I use Adobe Media Encoder CS6 on a Macbook Pro OS 10.11.2 2012.

Could you please tell me how to on this subject?

Also, I find that I don't have the ProRes 4444 XQ Preset codec in Media Encoder... Can I download it somewhere?

    Thank you

    Tiya

The problem is resolved. Here's how:

I bought ' Glue Tools Cineon / DPX Toolkit for Mac OS X and used it with Apple Compressor 4 on my Macbook Pro (2012) running El Capitan.

I was able to convert Log Cineon sequences of images in ProRes 4444 XQ QuickTime movies.

    Some things to note:

    • After downloading the Toolkit, you must activate it from the system preferences panel and make sure that you select the correct Conversion settings in the Cineon / DPX icon (bottom of the system preferences panel).
    • Glue Tools also have a trial / demo for you to try Mode.
    • Currently, glue tools Cineon/DPX Toolkit (4.1.2936) supports only compressor 4, but can add features for the Media Encoder and other tools in the future.
    • Use "Import a file" compressor 4 and select the first file of the Cineon or DPX image sequence when you try to get the glue tools to read them. Do not use 'Import Image Sequence'.
    • Once you have written the ProRes 4444 XQ, you may still need to correct color, but Glue Tools has excellent support.

  • Trying to export using the preset "Quicktime" and "Source of Match."

I try to export my video using the "Quicktime" parameter with the preset "Match Source (wrap)". When I do that on my computer at home, everything works fine.  On the work computer ym, an error message appears saying, "the video stream of the source file are not compatible with this preset. Please change to another preset. "I tired using the video from 3 different sources and received the same error message.  This preset works on my computer at home very well. What I'm doing wrong, because I want to export, have a great quality?

Game of QuickTime source (wrap) is only supported for a number of compatible video stream. These are mainly supported codecs to make them smart. These include most of the combinations of the following QuickTime codecs: Animation, Apple ProRes (4444 & 422 flavors), DV (25, 50 & DVCPROHD), GoPro CineForm and None. If your source clips are not one of these codecs, then Source Match of QuickTime (wrap) is not supported and will provide the warning, you mentioned.

    I hope this helps.

  • ProRes HQ in the Adobe project manager

I edited a sequence in ProRes HQ based on a custom preset. When I try to use the project manager + click "consolidate + transcode" use preset as my source, all ProRes codecs rise except for HQ. He also says match source - apple prores 422, which is not correct.

If you want to use the preset with Source: individual Clips, make sure that you select Source Match for the created preset (Source: individual Clips will accept only the presets to Match Source). And as Kevin already mentioned, you can create this preset in the SOUL or first.

  • Error message: the preset used by one or more sequences in this project requires third-party components that could not find. These sequences will be changed to use a custom sequence implementation. To continue editing using the original preset, as

    Hi all

I can't open a project PP without this error message that appears:

"The preset used by one or more sequences in this project requires third-party components that could not find. These sequences will be changed to use a custom sequence implementation. To continue editing using the preset original, exit the application without saving the project, reinstall all third-party components that are needed, and reopen the project'.»

What I had been doing before that to happen was a PP project using sequences ProRes for editing and editing multicamera. Several cameras didn't work very well and after a few attempts of difficulty that I gave up and finished the work of cutting 3 layers of video instead. SOUL refused to make the finished three lasting more than 1 hr sequences so rendered video sequences PP. finals

I tried to remove the plists for SOUL, PP and QT repair disk permissions and restarted, but there was no improvement.

Customer is satisfied for now, but will want to return on this work to a later date so decided to uninstall and reinstall SOUL and PP in the hope that the two would be willing to work properly when needed again. SOUL works very well in conjunction with another PP project, but now I can't open the PP project in question without the above error message appears.

After searching on the net, it seems that the problem may be caused by ProRes but I could not find a definitive solution to the problem. Does anyone know either:

    1. How do I solve this problem?

    2. If I chose the "modified by using a custom sequence parameter", can I be sure that my footage will look the same, even if they do not use ProRes? The final format of the deliverable will be mp4 so as long as the overall appearance does not change so I can afford a change in the edit codec. It's just that with three sequences of more than an hour long, I don't want working days to be ruined.

Other older PP projects of mine open and work properly.

    First CC 8.2.0 Pro

    Media encode CC 8.2.0.54

    10.10.2 OSX

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Duncan.

Web chat Adobe find a solution.

    Open the PP. project

Export your project or the sequence in Final Cut Pro XML form.

Set up a new project PP.

Import Final Cut Pro XML file.

This will take you to the top race.

Since getting back to this publishing project, I found that some things will be lost or change using XML:

You will lose the position key framing, black video clips, dissolve fx, audio levels, dynamic audio fx, the possibility to open a multi camera clip and change the display of the camera.

You keep the cut points, crop fx.

Not perfect but only took a few hours to save 3 working days.

  • Try to import on SOUL prores codecs on a mac.

    Any help?

    Thank you!

    Hi Federico,.

Downloaded them and I get this error: screening could not be imported. Any exporter found for this preset.

While I heard about some of the problems, I downloaded these presets and no problems:

Note that if you have a PC, these presets will not work. PC users should create from scratch in the SOUL.
