  the recommendation to create the ADF - settings.xml in the project source META-INF directory solves the problem of two projects to be used in a single workspace. If the two projects use ADFc MDS got confused. Notes version in R1 mentioned as follows:

  If your J2EE ADF (EAR) application contains several modules web application (WAR files) and contains more than one ADF task flows, then you can get unexpected behavior due to the web application using another its flow XML file with the same name of task (the problem is more likely to occur with the adfc config.xml file because each web application has usually one). You can avoid this problem by defining a 'root web application' separate for each web application (WAR). Web application at most one cannot have any parameters of root web app. To set the "web app root" for an application, you must add an XML file called META-INF/adf - settings.xml to WAR under WEB-INF/classes with content as follows:

  The value of the rootName attribute can be any name that uniquely identifies the web application (war) within the overall application (ear).

  In JDeveloper, the new file can be added as follows:

  + 1. Expand the web application project in the browser Application.
  + 2. Right-click on "Sources of the Application", and then select the item 'new ' +.
  + 3. Select "XML Document" and click OK.
  + 4. Type "adf - settings.xml ' under the file name +.
  + 5. Click on the "Browse" button, select the source directory of the project, click the iconic button "Create a new subdirectory" at the top right, type "META-INF" directory name and click OK, then click Select.
  + 6. You should now have a directory and file name "adf - settings.xml ' name '/META-INF +.
  + 7. Click OK to create the new file.
  + 8. In the Source Editor, paste in the XML file above and put a value appropriate for the rootName attribute (this is known as the parameter 'root web application').
  + 9. Make sure that the deployment for the Web application profile includes the new file META-INF/adf - settings.xml under WEB - INF / classes.

  So, if your application has a single web project then this configuration as documented in the book is good to use. To avoid the problem described above (which is in response to bug 8395585) you set it in the project's source. Note that adding adf - setting.xml in the project was presented as a work-around. The bug is closed with a fixed rate per 11.1.1.2, which means that, since the PS2 there should be no need to store the ADF - settings.xml in the source of the project more.

  So long answer that leads to a simple answer: the book is good and the documentation lists always bypass it. However, I'll fill a bug against documentation and make report understand (do not have the time to check the issue being fixed)

• EncoreCS4 never be able to connect to the Resource Center

  I just bought and installed first Pro CS4 and though I try at different times of the day (the United Kingdom) I can never connect to the Resource Center. I always get an error (0).

  I tried to ask Adobe help, but the only answer I got is a PDF file that wonder a response!

  Enamel in which sometimes tells me that the PDF file contains THEIR answer... but it's not.

  I'm the only one having this problem or is there a solution?

  I'm deploying an application as a library ADF - it will be used my multiple applications.  So it's a bit generic. Sometimes it is OK and other times it gets stuck... See the ChangeLog

  What do mean exactly by ' resourceprovide a unique name of the indicated "? 

  What should I name the files?  xyz_abc_appNotices.jsff or the directory structure has to change?

  Well, Yes, it would do. The warning say you that your library resources should use unique names, that I hope are not used by other libraries. From the resources app Strip is common chance is that it will be a duplicate.

  Make 2 toc styles. One for the entries in the Bookmarks panel, you can generate a table of contents on the side of any page, and you must score in its definition to create bookmarks and other things that you use to build the table of contents for the visible part of your document to print. This should have unchecked the option create a bookmark in its definition.

  Add just like a new data store.

  Login to your web access, select your host (not the virtual machines) in the left menu.

  You should see a link on the right side with "Add data store", give it a name of store and add the directory.

  Now, you can add a virtual machine to this place.

• 526 KB for the DVD-ROM contents, but in the project is empty? How to remove

  Very strange.  My previous projects say under disc info that there is 526 KB for the DVD-Rom content.  I don't know how to remove it.  So I thought I would try the Adobe Dynamic Link into a new project.  I check the Build and there is 526 KB for the DVD-Rom content.  And I only made the video in yet, no menus!

  So I thought I would start a new project in Encore without ANYTHING imported.  And when I check, there is 526 KB for the DVD-Rom content!  But there is nothing there!  How can I remove the DVD-Rom content?

  If you go to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premierepro/cs/using/WS3EBD7FBD-F988-4862-ACF8-179EC27B6B0Ba.html , under the section titled "Import a model as the central resource," the first statement is "" If the resource Central Panel is not already open, choose window > resource Central. "."  This is how it works for everyone?  Because for me, I have to click on the window > Extensions > Resource Centre.

  The help documentation are wrong; post a comment on this page to be updated. That's what the comments section is for.

  It doesn't really matter how you you there; This is what you should see and be able to do:

  

  Click the arrow, and it downloads and is saved in your project. Double-click on it in the tray to change. That's all there is to it. If you do not see the model, make sure you are fully updated. If you are up-to-date, you may need to reinstall. Or simply do not worry, you miss honestly not a lot. Most of the models are pretty meh and it don't have not been updated probably a year.

• Unable to access role to change the settings for the virtual Center

  I recently created two new roles to restrict the Active Directory in Virtual Center security group and the Resource Pool. I cloned VM Administrator role and tweaked so that this group can view full data center while being only able to create/delete the virtual machines in the resource pool. However, I can't work on what permission setting would completely restrict the role of access and changes to the "vCenter Server Settings" on the home page.

  That sounds right.  roles and rights spread from host/cluster view for the sake of server configurations.

  If you set the role to the next level in vCenter 4 (which is the name/IP of your vCenter), they will have access to it.

  You can define a low level (data center), then define non-role or nothing at the top level.  you will need to place this permission/role on each object in the data center, you have for each of these connections.

• Is it possible to have a common accessible file location for the main application in the sandbox and its extension app plugin

  I'm trying to launch an app on the app store for mac. The bundle of the main application and everything inside it is on sandbox.

  The main application Bundle identifier is com.xxx.core.app . The identifier for the internal Plugin Finder Extension application Bundle is com.xxx.core.app.extensions .

  Now the problem is the extension inner finder is also available in sand and trying to read a file written by the main application.

  The main application writes the file location depending on mac OS X, for example temp/var/folder/jv11743453495593/T/com.xxx.core.app

  But the internal Plugins try to read/var/folder/jv11743453495593/T/com.xxx.core.app/extensions

  Because of the different bundle identifiers, they have different containers.

  Can someone let me know how to limit the same application and its plugins to the same folder location. Does perform a work around for this problem.

  You must create a group that your container can access. I'm not 100% certain that this will work with extensions of Finder, but it seems the most logical place to start.
