  I bought a brand new Envy 17 K205nl a few days ago and downgraded to windows 7 SP1 x 64 (cloned my old HDD, since I haven't the time to reinstall everything)

  I managed to install all the drivers properly, but I now have 2 things missing:

  -Audio work but no Beats Audio and speakers are very weak without it...

  HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_10EC & DEV_0290 & SUBSYS_103C229D & REV_1000 and

  HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_8086 & DEV_2808 & SUBSYS_80860101 & REV_1000 (why I have 2 sound cards, audio bt + Nvidia audio?)

  -Function buttons (they do not work properly, but I have no GUI and my bright orange F6 Mute button lights when you press on)

  For more information, the HP System Event (sp71156) utility works also under windows 7. My button mute is now illuminated pressed orange, but still no GUI with the exception of the FN + ESC which displays now system information correctly.

  Installs the audio software (sp69618) and now I get the Panel audio beats up & running as well as the key FN + B.

  Extra:

  Setup HP Coolsense gives an error during installation, may be missing some required software but I don't have any additional info.

  My laptop is Pavilion dv6-6c53er. So, I'm a DJ and I use a product of Native Instruments - Traktor Pro (second version). I installed the ASIO driver and I cannot adjust audio parametrs, such as master Chanel and chanel monitor where audio mini jacks will play the sound. I bought this laptop, because there are 2 audio mini-prises... and each mini-jack I use every bridge in Traktor. But when I open the ASIO control panel I do not see what mini Mini-Jack cable... There were:

  Dock HpOut

  Alignment

  MicIn

  MuxedIn1

  It's what I have now.

  Second problem is:

  I found no Audio Control Panel (no Beats Audio Control Panel). I downloaded the IDT audio driver from HP site, then my Beats Audio wasn't available after reboot my system (Windows Home Basic x 64).

  So I got my laptop, but without audio Beats, IDT audio control panel and no experience with Traktor.

  So, please, help me with these problems...

  (1) I need Beats Audio new

  (2) I need IDT Control Panel

  (3) I need experience of how to connect each mini-jack (audio) on each deck in Traktor.

  You might want to try Windows compatibility settings before starting your software, its always safe to put things in XP SP3.

  You can also try Windows troubleshooting for flawed software.

  Other that that, you use the software, with I have no experience, their support forums can be your best bet.

  Hello. I bought a HP Envy 17-j020us on ebay, used laptop, about two weeks ago. They said that it is only 4 months. I must say that it is a little new. In any case, they had updated to 8.1 Pro Win. I think that when they have updated they lost Beats audio drivers or something, because the sound quality, I really look forward to, is less poor and there is no equalization anywhere.   I'm sorry it took so long, but I think I have the solution for you here. I've updated a notebook here to 8.1 and after several attempts but I have the same problem you have. To solve it, I simply used the Recovery Manager to update the HP Quick Launch software provided on the laptop. Try following the steps below to see if that solves your problem.

  Step 1. The type of menu tiles "Recovery."

  Step 2. Choose Recovery Manager

  Step 3. Drivers and reinstall Applications

  Step 4. Choose the software of HP Quick Launch

  Step 5. Install

  Step 6. Restart your computer

  Now, this did not bring the Beats Audio Control Panel for me but he doesn't turn Beats Audio on and off the listening experience which is what you're after.
