No sound in Windows XP 64 with Conexant AC-Link driver on HP Dv8210us

Hello

I have difficulties to get sound working in Windows XP-64 with my HP DV8000 DV8210us notebook PC series.  When I run the installation program, 'sp34567.exe' it says "cannot find the MMdriver.inf file in the Windows system32 directory." If I try to install it manually in the Device Manager, it says that these drivers are not designed for Windows XP 64-bit. I could give up and say this driver does not exist, unless I have another partition of hard disk with it working (got a virus). I think maybe it was a manual installation. However, I can't find this driver I apparently found before. Anyone know how to get sound in XP 64 working with this card?

Well after about 3 days of searching on Google, that I finally found a driver that works... There

http://rapidshare.com/files/21232083/ati_conexant_audio_driver_x64.rar

Do not think that it was the same as one I used last time, but I heard that this ATI southbridge driver works to correct the Conexant sound. The ATI driver added a few unwanted items on my desk, 'free 1000 free songs and screensaver free dolphin games.' I guess I can enjoy it now that my sound work of.

    Hi Paul,.

This article was created when users have faced problem with old drivers for AMD graphics card.

Yes, you can upgrade to the last 16.1 pilots and who should work well however, you should have 1 GB VRAM or more to take advantage of the GPU processors.

  • Windows 7 recovery with advanced format failed drive without SP1

I have a dv6-2150us and the hard drive has failed.  I bought a new drive and ran the recovery disks.  Unfortunately a lot of features does not work on a disc format in Windows 7 without SP1.  The main feature is that Windows update doesn't stop me from upgrading to SP1.  I've tried a lot of difficulties to Windows update and downloaded SP1 from the Microsoft site, but all fail to install because update does not work.

Any advice?  I tried to install an ISO cool Windows 7 SP1 which works fine, but I'd rather not pay for an OS that I already own.  My windows license key does not work with Windows 7 SP1 install.

    dv6guy,

There the HP recovery discs actually failed to install? The recovered installation fails to boot completely or correctly. Or installation retrieved not only has risks with Windows Update or other software?

If the recovery is complete, and you can enter Windows please try to use ABR Beta with Windows 7 Support to save the installed HP OEM SLP keys and certificate of HP OEM SLP. Once you have these, save the complete record of ABR to an external location, such as a USB key. Then, install Windows 7 SP1 to your ISO fresh. Do not enter a product key when asked and do not allow any Windows try to activate the computer. Now, restore the key and the certificate to your new installation of Windows 7 SP1. Verify that Windows is activated. Post back and let us know if it succeeded or failed

Micorsofts update the site decided to download new drivers for the card his Yamaha, and now it says NO device.

I reinstalled the drivers from the toshiba site, but despite everything I do, it still shows no device.

Ive tried reinstalling the software Synth as well, but having said that I need to run the re-installation of synth program. But there is no directory on the drive for what Yamaha and no entry in the Add/Remove for yamaha synth window or in the start menu.

I'm at a loss where to go then, short from once again and re-installing the OS to the top, and it's a good day's work.

    Hello

It is a known issue and it always seems if two important fixes from Microsoft were not installed.
You will need to install the fixes KB888111 and KB835221 first before installing the audio driver.

    Check this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=31967

If after installation of hotfixes mentioned in XP you should restart the notebook and then need to install the driver of his newest site Web of Realtek.
