No sound on internal speakers in DV6000

I have a laptop DV6-265us running MS Vista SP2.

Recently, my speakers Altec Lansing internal has stopped working.  First of all, it was the left speaker, then both.  I thought for sure the speakers just died, so I ordered a replacement on EBay and just am and successor yesterday.  BUT, I still have no sound.  I can plug external speakers into the speaker port and they work fine.

Now here's the strange thing.  The speaker in the tray icon works exactly as it did before.  Its does not display a red X or error at all.  I can test the sound and the Visual looks like his work, but there is nothing that comes out of loudspeakers.  I went to the Control Panel, Device Manager and there is no red Xs anywhere.  The device driver said his works very well, but I have no confidence in it, so I did a restore of the HP driver and give the original that came with the laptop.... Still nothing.

I read the articles of troubleshooting on the HP Support pages, but nothing has worked so far.  My next step is to replace the sound card or the power button.   I'm not sure of the sound card because I don't know how its connected in speakers AND plug in external speakers work.  It of really a sup Board and seems to have only the external ports for microphone and speakers, as well as the infra-red port.  The internal speakers are plugged into the power button card and I thought that this is where the problem is maybe as putting in a new internal speaker doesn't seem to work.  The microphone is also connected on the power button, but that seems to work well.

No one knows if I fake road with the power button?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all

Well believe it or not, I had my speakers work again.  Lots of hit and accuracy to get there, but its working now.  You don't have to bother with downloading drivers, I tried them all and none of them worked.  Unfortunately, it was a hardware problem, which means that you need to open your laptop.  If you are not comfortable with this, you can obtain the necessary parts and get them in a store of the computer (such as Micro Center) and see if they can change the parts to you.

Here's what I did.

-Changed the internal speaker Altec (did not help)

-Changed the power button (did not see a change)

-Changed the button of power and LED board ZIF cables (BINGO)

I'm sure that stakeholders were not the problem, since I put the old ones back in and they work.  From what I can tell, it's the combination of the power button and the 2 ZIF cables.  I could find all these parts on EBay.  The power button has been about $ 17 and 2 ZIF (flat) cables are about $9.  Search for part # 431437-001, and you should be able to find the flat cables and the power button.  Not sure if the same manufacturer for other portable model.  Check the maintenance and Service of Guide for your model.

If you want to DIY then I suggest you download the maintenance and the Guide Service for laptop HP Pavilion dv6000.  You can get this on the HP customer care site.  Unfortunately, that was the only help that HP has been for me.  Never had any feedback on this issue.

Good luck.  I hope this helps.

  • NO sound on internal speakers on HP DV6000 after upgrading Windows XP to Windows 7

I upgraded my HP DV6000 from XP to Windows 7 and everything worked fine for several weeks.  Then internal speakers stopped working.  All the settings seem normal.  When it is docked to the XB3000 dock my dock speaker right works.  When headphones are inserted only my left ear phone offers a sound.  No help from HP.  Win 7 is great.  HP is not much help.  Troubleshooting even and then no result.  They do not fundamentally support my upgrade, even if the laptop is labeled Vista compatible.  Help, please!  I have what, in my opinion, are the most up-to-date drivers.  My chip is intel Centrino Duo and the speakers are Conexant

    Hi John,.

I can't seem to find what chipset is in your machine. But I don't think that this has nothing to do with this issue. If the internal speakers do not work with 3rd driver Conexant and the Inbox class driver HD Audio, it may be a hardware problem. The internal speakers are disabled when a cable is plugged into the headphone jack. So, you could check and see if you can find something wrong with it. If you don't think that it stopped working after an update, you can try to use the system restore and select a restore point to where he worked.

    Thank you

I used the audio driver Soundmax of W7 on the dc7900 support page and it worked very well.

You must install, restart the PC, go to the icon of black soundmax Control Panel and check the multi streaming.

Restart the PC, go to control panel, hardware and sound > sound > manage audio devices, and then select speakers as the default value.

  • Satellite L350 - no sound on internal speakers

A few months ago the internal speakers fell silent. The laptop had been in hibernation. The pledge of speakers at the bottom of the page will still go up and down just no sound. The sound is ok when I plug in external speakers.
The sound came back a number of times when I was in gaming.gambling sites. However, once I restart the laptop, it's back to no sound. I did the checking amoderne on windows 7 sites and he said everthing is working fine/uptodate. I installed the proposed pilot realtrek toshiba website, but nothing helped.
This seems to be a common problem with laptops Tosbiba watching different help sites.

    Suggestions please...

To be honest I don t understand why you think that exact this question must be a problem on Toshiba laptops.

Your old L350 came with Vista and it would be interesting to know if the same thing will happen with original Toshiba (Vista) recovery image.
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem may be and all this you can do first is to check all the sound settings.

If I understand you just sound back time in time (gaming.gambling sites). Can you confirm this?

  • Sound from internal speakers past (iMac 21.5 mid-2011, Yosemite 10.10.5)

Last week, exactly after I unplugged my headphones, the sound from the internal speakers went and I don't understand how to solve this problem, please help.

Sound still works when I connect my headset (or other device) to the audio output.

Sound still works when I connect to my USB external sound card.

Internal speakers still work (I can hear the start-up tone when I turn on the machine).

In preferences / system I see "Digital output" instead of "internal speaker".

    Volume buttons do not work,

    Audio output leddoes not light.

    I tried:

    -Reset the PRAM,

    -SMC reset,

    -' sudo killall coreaudiod ".

    -repair disk permission

    screenshot:

    Plug and remove the headphones.

If you see the red light in the headphone port, plug the headphones

in and o ut of time port 5 or 6 to swing the microphone inside.

Audio output can be blocked using digital technology.

  • "Tinny" sound from internal speakers Dell XPS 1645

I got my Dell XPS 1645 for about 4-5 years so maybe it's just a problem of wear.

I am running Chrome and watch a stream on twitch.tv August 23 to about 75% volume level when there was a sharp fall in terms of audio quality; now everything seems thin / no bass/distortion plus silent.

Audio performance was great before this event and always beautiful with headphones (this is the internal speakers which are reached).

To clarify, the sound is muffled or spindly; It is not a noise or interference and the volume settings have not been changed as to cause this effect to my knowledge.

I tried all the solutions I could find but I would like to know if there is something I don't understand!

I uninstalled the IDT drivers and reinstalled from the dell site and other sites, I tried to use the default Microsoft drivers.

I ran the Diagnostics Dell PC Checkup trials; speakers pass.

I've disabled the improvements and messed around with properties of speaker without result.

Speakers can still go to 100% flight (of course, this sounds horrible). Also, I have never historically played audio at levels like that nor I had problems with the audio in the past.

I blew my speakers? Is there a loose connection? More important is there anything I can try or do? I prefer not having to pay massive amounts of replacements because it will mean probably deserting me a ship from Dell for good and get a nice update!

Hello. The Studio XPS 1645 model had a "subwoofer". He has probably stopped working on your device. If you want to replace or are looking for a loose connection, you can get the service manual with instructions for the page documents Studio 1645, and the play itself is going for $5-10 on ebay.

  • No sound from internal speakers

I have an Asus A53S laptop series that I recently installed Windows 7 Home Premium on.

I can't sound playing through the internal speakers.
I installed the codecs Realtek Audio (drivers?), but that did not fix the problem.
The sound plays through my helmet and the bar of his small jumps when I try to change the level of volume with or without a helmet, so I think that the computer recognizes that the speakers are installed, it also allows me to change the settings on the speakers via the menu of playback devices. I'm puzzled. Any ideas?

    Hi Sparkplug94 and IndigoTal,

If you have not already the case, make sure that all audio devices are active in the BIOS.

    * Modification of the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk

  • Studio 1735 - limited/scratchy sound from internal speakers

I just got my Studio 1735, a couple of days, but have noticed that the sound signal of pregnant internally seems totally busted. All that is heard is both low point of being inaudible, but also very rough. It is basically kaput!

However when I plug the headphones in the sleeves, I hear music & sounds Windows system!

So to summarize; I'm guessing that it is simply a matter of speakers blast requiring some attention of mechanic equipment.

PS - anyone know this problem?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Hello

I read on the similar topic here in the forum
In most cases, this article from Toshiba has helped:

  • Lenovo Y570 no sound from internal speakers

I just got my Lenovo Y570 today and the sound did not work as I turned it on. I tried to uninstall the audio driver from Realtek and I installed the driver on the Lenovo Web site and this one does not work either. Anyone know what could be the problem?

EDIT: I plugged my headphones into the Jack and they work, but not the laptop speakers.

  • Pavilion DV4: Laptop plays sound through headphones but not by internal speakers

Audio was working fine on my laptop, when suddenly the laptop would not play sound with internal speakers.  If I plug in headphones sound is fine.  Execution of control panel of configuration/sounds shows 'Speakers and dual headphone - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC' enabled and set as the default device, as well as "independent double headphones" (enabled by default but not) and 'SPDIF (Digital Out via HP docking station)' disabled.  What can be wrong?

Cure the problem by uninstalling the CODEC driver, then restart Windows then reinstalled, and now things are ok again.

My sound from internal speakers as something covers nose of the singers. In real terms, my mp3 player looks like its volume on the half when full breath, sounds groggy, sounds half ass, seems more comprehensive and clear as it used to afew Twitter.com (more treble and noise?).

With headphones, the normal sound - clear, strong, complete and accurate. Nothing wrong with the mode headphones listening.

I tried to reinstall and update driver Audio IDTC, still does not work. Tried a full system restore to factory settings and still does not work. I tried troubleshooting, but not take it?

This could be a hardware problem? Or something is to limit my external speakers? (I tested with control of the sound through the control panel and two speakers produce clear and complete tones as on the test of thingy).
