No sweeping of images correctly on my desktop Mac

I have an iMac OS X 10.6.8 version.   I just bought a HP Deskjet 3520.  I designed a CD cover, scan and send an email to my graphic designer.  I cut & pasted several images in color on a 5 "x 5" piece of paper (the size of a CD cover).  I scanned the document on my Mac desktop, where I was planning on sending it as an attachment to the email.  When I opened the scanned image of my office, all the images I cut & pasted on paper appeared on their own page of individual screen, instead of the appearance of the design as I created it on a piece of paper...

The scanner has two modes of format: JPG and PDF.  The description above happened when I used JPG.  I tried the scan using PDF.  This time everything is out on one page the way I designed, but it was released in black and white and with images very blurry and hard to make out...

I read manual of the scanner, but impossible to find this question anywhere, or what settings to choose for this type of analysis - which seems to me that the scanner is designed to make...

What I have - or - scan hurt?

Thank you.

3. click on the tab "scan tasks.
4. Select the shortcut Scan allows to analyze, and then click on edit.
5. in the section of scanning from an HP device, click the blue triangle or button view details to expand the menu.
6. in the expanded menu now, open the drop down next to cultures in and set as none or A4, so make sure to set the color.
7. click OK and try to scan the image.

Kind regards
Shlomi
