• tool tip memory leak

  Seems to be leaking memory associated with ToolTips.  Every time I put your mouse on a panel using tool tips I see case the dynamic memory usage constantly increases.  If I comment out the call to the functions of the tool tip (i.e. SetCtrlToolTipAttribute), memory leak disappears.

  There is no patch for 8.0.0, if it is tell you.

  But from the Toolbox of the programming interface is open-source, you can easily fix it yourself:

• Cannot remove SYSTRAY - TOOL TIP Windows XP

  SYSTRAY-TOOLTIP, I do not KNOW this THAT it IS AND EACH TIME, I get ON MY COMPUTOR THIS COMES UP FIRST, I ALSO SAID to SEND or NOT to SEND to Microsoft, which I continue to make every day.  Please let me know if I really needed this and how to remove it if I don't.

  I have a Date component on my page and basically I'm trying to disable the Saturday and Sunday from the calendar that I made using the disabledDaysOfWeek attribute. In doing so, I get a message by default tool tip (in bold) who says:

  Enter a date that falls on one of the following days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  
  So I want to customize it by deleting the Saturday and Sunday of the above message. I tried shortDesc which did not work, instead of this displays the typed message (United Nations in bold) with the "BOLD" above.
  
  So, can I do this? If this isn't the case, I would like to disable this tool tip message.

  I am able to remove the ToolTip text of tool on Sunday. Here is my code:

• Can I introduce the tool tip act as a Confirmation pop-up box?

  My client wants a box of confirmation before a visitor downloads a file.

  I can paste in the HTML code to do this, but then I can't control the text of the link text style unless I have add like a style on line in the embedded HTML code. Is not ideal.

  I wonder, however, if there could be a way to have it Muse tool tip? I have the spectacle of tip when hovering over or clicking on text, so I could add the text that my client wants and a button to proceed with the download. But there should be a way out of the balloon at that time, as a Cancel button which was closing the ToolTip.

  You should be able to use jQuery to do this! Just create a link button in the target area of the light therapy device and remove all other items / pictures. In this way, it appears and you can click out of it! Check it out!

  Is it possible to have my legend text defined online via tooltips or roll on legends?  These definitions of terms / can be autopopulated by the glossary widget, I created?  I think I've seen do Captivate but have never done it myself.  Thanks for your help.

  Indeed, a pop-up window is not possible with the interaction of the glossary. What might serve your purpose is to have a button (form) on each slide in which appears the glossary? Or even use the hyperlink feature to run a fast action which makes the visible glossary? Of course, you also offer the possibility to close. You can time the Glossary for the rest of the project, you can have buttons to form on the master slide or also synchronized to the rest of the project. Just an idea...

  (1) now I can see the legend of an object/field as a TOOL of ART, fine.

  (2) after that I'm in conjunction with the associated data source field, I also had the value of this object/field as ToolTip, fine.

  Saeed thanks buddy, I watch but is not what I had, I went another way - I opened the files to use of the web browser the inspectors - found the location of the stroller and then open the page of alt tags added Dream Weaver now my scroll images have tags.  Now I can mouse on my scrolling images and get a reading of the label - my main reason was for SEO - I images with no tags while scrolling.  Now, I'm going to spend the rest of the day tomorrow corrects all my images scroll.  Thank you never thought about your method.

  To get a ToolTip for the column of a table edge or analytical data, follow the steps below:

  For text variables, follow these steps:

  (a) the criteria, right-click on the required text column and select column properties

  (b) once you see "The column properties" window click on the tab "Data Format".

  (c) check mark "Substitute default data Format" and set:

  Treat the text as a custom text Format =
  Custom text format = [html]

  @
  (Where @ is the sign of text)

  For numeric values, follow the steps below:

  (a) the criteria, right-click on the required text column and select column properties

  I was after a bit of advice on how do I create tooltips.

  I have thumbnails of different colors. When the user hovers over the thumbnail I want a ToolTip appears with the name of the color.

  What is the best way to do it?

  I got the job of the ToolTip - just need a bit of advice on the content of the ToolTip!

  You should do the buttons of all instances of a class that you write your won database.

  They can send an event of the ToolTip, and then on your main timeline (or class of documents or where ever) you can listen for this event. Something like this:

  I think the tooltip plugin that you use to display the ToolTip is probably lift some internal exception and for this reason it is return NULL (just doubke quotes)
  It would be best to contact the author of the plugin that someone else trying to debug the problem plugin.

  A few other comments
  

• In order to display the ToolTip, you need a new application server (using Ajax) which I think is totally useless since you have / can have the same data in the page itself, without losing performance.
  
• Another related point, which is since you're substring'ing the ToolTip text, you are losing out of text searched on this column. If you have included the content somewhere in the report (even in a row/column elementhidden by JS), the search might work.

  My suggestion would be to include the full column in some item hidden in the same column itself as well as the text of substr'inged show and create a ToolTip based on the hidden element (if your plugin has such a feature, use)

  For example

   SELECT ..
     , ''||description||''||substr(description,1,100) description
     ..
  

  The span element that is hidden in the same column has the full text you can use in the ToolTip.

  You can also view the full text in a column and still hiding using CSS

  SELECT ..
     ,description description_full
     ,substr(description,1,200) description
   ..
  

  The description_full column now has the full text, make sure that it cannot be hidden by a user in the report, by unchecking the checkbox "Hide the option" column

  And add the following line to the page header

• How to stop IE display text alt as a tool tip when the mouse on the image.

  I have random images in echo [B] [/ b] by a PHP script on a page.

  [CODE] < img src = "<?" PHP echo $randomImage;? ">" alt = "This is the alternative text" / > [/ CODE]

  The problem is whenever you highlight on the image, IE spits out the text.
  I understand the alt text are intended for accessibility.

  So, how can I stop this IE behavior with compromises accessibility?

  IE8 never shows the attribute alt as a ToolTip.  They finally got this right in the browser.

• Simple tool tip Question

  I have a simple text box I would like to have display a ToolTip when the mouse is hovered over it.

  
  I've included the text in the balloon section of the object (under accessibility), but the ToolTip is not displayed.

  The ToolTip has worked for other objects that I worked with, but never work with text boxes.

  I have included the very basic form for reference.

  Th eonly way to get the ToolTip is if you have an input field. Even if I have the input field as readOnly the ToolTip does not appear that there is no entry for the user. So, your only option is the only object with text is the legend. The ToolTip appears when they hover on the portion of the entry of the box and the text portion.
