Noisy CPU cooler

I had a desktop Pavilion Elite m9543uk with a computer card mother IPIBL-LB (BENICIA)

for about 4 years and now my CPU FAN is loud and very annoying. I know that I can change that, but I noticed that almost all cpu coolers are supplied with radiator mount push pins that is my question will be my card MOTHER accept these (or ARE THE HOLES FOR SMALL?) and what would be the best cooler to buy?

Orpheus1942,

You can replace just the fan.

Research on your question, I noticed this:

Heatsink heat is # 5187-8413 for all (radiator and fan). But the fan is a 80 mm found here.

Although in the United Kingdom, please refer to specifications. The PWM RPM is the most important.

How to measure any fan  (80mm fans are 80mm or 3.15 ")

  • Satellite 1800-514 - CPU cooling fan

My Satellite S1800-514 has now more than seven years. I never had any problems with it. But I'm a little worried now the CPU cooling fan. Basically it runs continuously since I bought the laptop.

I'm a guy of 'maintenance' of a man "fixing after the failure." On the other side, there is truth in "Do not open a market system".

Should I replace or let you replace the fan (cost?; risk?) after 7 years of non-stop work or wait that the failure?
Should I open the notebook and clean the fan and air conditioner?

    Anyone here with experience?
    Thank you

You are absolutely right with him "never touch a running system" ;)
And if you encounter any problem until now, let it well.

But what you could do is, clean the fan and cooling of the modules with a sort of a jet of compressed air to get rid of the dust.

Try this and good luck with your laptop. Seems to be a pretty strong and durable unit.

  • HPE - 590t: Suggestions for replacement CPU Cooler & case fan

    Hi all

I would like to replace the fan in my HPE - 590 t.  Recently, he made loud noises and yesterday it sounded like a car was at my house with the idling of the maximum RPM.

I know that some have recommended the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO in previous threads, however I have some concerns regarding this cooler would fit in my case, as it seems that I have about 1.5 inches of space to the left of the cooler and about 1' of headroom above the stock cooler.

Here are the specs for my motherboard.

I have a case of average size, I would be grateful any recommendation for the appropriate CPU cooler.

Ideally, I'd like something that could last another two years and be as quiet as possible.

HP DV9310 Windows 7 Professional 4 GB RAM

    DV7t-6100 Windows 7 Pro 8 GB RAM

    Ruette,

I wanted to let you know that you were right about the question of the back plate on the motherboard.   I decided to order the aftermarket cooler that I mentioned, and when I went to install it, it appeared to be welded directly on the motherboard.  I was puzzled because I've never seen such a design.

Because I could not remove the back plate, I couldn't install the new heatsink.

Being faced with the choice of either ordering a heat sink used as you have suggested to the origin or the HP part since the website claiming to sell the stock heatsink heat, I decided to remove my HP Elite system and build a custom system.

I built a new system with a motherboard MSI Gaming 5 and 4790 k i7 processor and used the ram, power supply, SSD, GTX 750 ti and other components in my system HP Elite for my new build. All these elements I just mentioned were anyway under a year of age.  Of course, I had to spend money on a Windows 7 operating system at retail, but also a new case, but overall it was worth the money. I also think that in the end I started to the cultivate my HP and it was just time for me to upgrade.  Now, that I'll stay with custom desktops built and stay away with OEM computers due to the unusual limitations that the OEM wants to place on their systems.

Thanks again for all your help!

  • H8-1214: upgrade of the H8-1214 cpu cooler

I'm trying to upgrade the processor 6100 fx to fx-8150, but I'm having a devil of a time finding a CPU cooler that fits the card mother angelica. what most people don't understand, is that the card mother angelica uses am3 + socket mount Intel cpu cooler. Anyone know or recommend a CPU cooler that will handle 125W cpu, go in the small space, not cause problems with editing? I already have that tower coolers match or working, because of the large part using PINs instead of screws, mount the cpu because is screw in and most of the towers are high.

I used the same CPU cooler on the fx-8150 and he ran very well because it was not overclocked.

I have a HP Pavilion P6240F.  The two screws for the broken cpu fan and now when I turn on the computer, it makes a rattling noise.  I need to know what the original CPU cooler with heat sink, or one that matches it.

What is actually broken?  The plastic guard mounted fan? The fairing plastic? The shroud has also 4 screws.

Fan attaches to the plastic fairing with 4 screws. The shroud bolts to the bottom of the metal heatsink to the motherboard. Between the radiator and the actual motherboard is the processor.  A thin layer of thermal grease combines the heatsink and processor.

The set is part # 5187-8413. It may be google.

  • HP Envy Phoenix h9-1333: upgrade CPU Cooler

    Hi all
So today, I have a problem that drives me crazy. I have a HP Envy Phoenix h9-1333 with a Core i5 3570 processor, 10GB of RAM DDR3, 2 TB Seagate Barracuda (drive C), 16 GB SanDisk SSD caching, and an Asus GeForce GTX 650Ti upgrade. So I went the process of upgrading my CPU cooler to a cooler much more efficient, quieter, then I jumped on the air cooled by the train running and bought a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. The day before, I moved the components of my Phoenix in a NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower case. However when I went to install the stand-offs for the cooler I found that the stand offs were too big for the holes in the motherboard. After you create a scene in front of my dogs full of swearing, I put the old ice on and now makes me here. Yes, the Evo of 212 Hyper will fit in the case, I went up to now this question. My problem is that the stand offs do not fit into the holes and another problem that arises is that there is a back plate which is hard at least to my knowledge but I thought I could work but actually I could not. Is that what I can do so that I can't take back the new cooler?

    Hello

You must have been struck by lightning the issue with your other post.

HP generally uses screws to the holes in the motherboard to ensure a fit for the heatsink of HP.  Cooler Master may have some suggestions.

Saw a post here if someone claims that the back plate can be removed. It still leaves you an adjustment problem. I suggest make you a model of the sink top of page area of editing and send to Cooler Master and ask for advice.  The Cooler Master 212 EVO is an industry best rated air cooler.

  • AG3-605: CPU cooler for the cpu: which?

As I am closed for rebuild my AG3-605 with a new motherboard (the same as the damaged), I want to try a new CPU cooler.

It's not easy to find one. Noctua NH - L12 seems to be one that can fill my reconstruction. But I'm not so geeky that you might believe and confirmation of my choice would be great. It is up to you! And thank you!

    Hi jaclou,

I am pleased to learn that you have purchased a new MB. Delay was pretty quick.

I tried to replace my old office by another brand fans.

Unfortunately, the management of speeds was wrong question so heat. The thermal module or the smart fan is set for fans of the original (speed / voltage / PWM %).

We have only two options: full or restricted speed.

For example radiator fan speed: 4200 ~ 4500 rpm and fan speed: 2200 ~ 2500 RPM.

I tried to manage the different speeds with Speedfan, but after a few days I noticed that the bios was "troubled."

Well, I ordered original Sunon fans.

    Question:

You already have a case fan?

The cleaning procedure is very similar to this, use machine oil sewing of WD - 40 and high quality to lubricate the axis of the fan.

  • XPS 8700: Upgrade CPU cooler

    Hello

I have a Dell XPS 8700 and I am facing some problems to find a cooler to replace the original one.

It came with a modified version in stock intel cooler. Is essentially the same heatsink (not high quality metal) and a 80mm fan (4-pin).

The problem is that the holes just let me install a chiller that uses screws. I can't put coolers that use this model clip or PIN (as we see in Stock Intel) and I'm afraid to buy new and it cannot install due to the incompatibility of holes in backplate.

Someone here has already improved the CPU cooler? If someone has already done so, could you please tell me the name of the model of cooler?

    Thank you.

    Here are a few threads.
