  There is no need to cancel one for Windows since CC subscriptions are not platform specific.  Your subscription allows you to use it on Windows and Mac computers, so just install Mac on Mac files.

I clicked it and it opens as a small black w/white square letters coming from Microsoft Corp. All rights reserved. 2006 and the next line of a c:\Users\user>_ and the cursor blinking. Should I just leave that on the menu in case I have it use?

  It of your choice, will not make a difference anyway.  Windows stores most often/most recently used commands and puts them under the ORB start so that they are just a click away.  It is an element of convenience only, and you can delete items here by right-clicking on them and selecting "remove from this list.  This does not remove the program, just deletes the shortcut to the frequently used list.

I would like to get rid of these also.

  I am very new to After Effects and am not completely sure what composition and presets to choose. I want to create a slide show to display on a LED of SD TV even though I have no idea which to choose preset: DV PAL, PAL DV Widescreen, PAL DV Squarew Pixels, DVWidescreen PAL square Pixels.

  Should I work in 720 x 576, it is OK to display on widescreen TV?

  You're always safe with the presets. DON'T create custom non square pixels comps, unless you know exactly what you are doing. 99,9999999% of the time custom pixel aspect ratio projects are wrong.

  Æ all image pixel format conversions will handle automatically. Always work with Presets Pixel square unless you know specifically that your project requires something else.

  Video is posted on the web is ALWAYS square pixels. Pictures taken with every digital camera, I worked with that are always pixels square. Video, on the other hand, can be almost anything. You know how your original video was shot. Most of the time AE interpreter correctly the video from the cameras there has so very little chance that your video will be distorted if align you on any square pixel or any project of pixels not square. You can drop any video of any standard source, no matter what the IRON of the original, in a composition to square pixels and AE will fix the NOMINAL difference and give you a rendered image. It may be the right size for your publication, but it will not be distorted. To correct the size just it step up or down for fit keep X and put the same values across. If you start to pull down on the options YOU will just end up with distorted images. Circles will be oval. Squares will be rectangles. Do not change the IRON of a model.

  When your project is ready to provide to Adobe Media Encoder will properly scale and fit no matter what format to any other format without anything to do but by choosing a preset. It is perfect for almost any application. The only exception is when you need make projects for non standard digital screens such as dashboards, panels of LED or web banners.

  Here's the model presets:

  

  Blue is a good size of standard work for a publication with square pixels. The presets in green are for an output to the projection of film or cinema. The presets in yellow are what I use for all my projects only standard definition, but I don't have one SD project at least 5 years. There is no point. They did not build a standard definition TV everyone is bought in 5 years and the television channels in the United States are not required to broadcast signals SD more.

  The other presets are all rectangular pixels. They are useful ONLY if you have an application specific or specific to a need to return a codec to camera and the camera frame size. Otherwise, they are completely unnecessary in any workflow I can think. If you have a few images of particularly difficult green screen shot HDV or DVCPRO HD for example, you can remove your key in a model that corresponds to the sequence, so that the entry can work with the original pixels but it is the only time where you can take a very slight advantage in using a non comp pixels square for the production. I've never needed.

  You asked about the disadvantages of working in HD, but look at one in SD. The single is the pass additional rendering. When you look at the tv show in the United States TV becomes a signal HD which is either 720 or 1080 i and the receiver is adapting it to SD for viewing. If you apply the signal to a Blu - Ray player to a TV SD it is reduced to fit. If you use Apple TV or your X - Box to view NetFlix or YouTube and you choose the HD content, it is reduced. If you use still or any DVD authoring application to burn a DVD of your project you will get a rectangular pixel 720 hardware HD SD conversion. The DVD authoring program or automatically detects whether your project is large or if it is 4:3, or it will give you the choice. Whatever it is, you will get a better final result giving HD app material to digest rather than the SD because the compressor will have more data to sample and compress.

  I hope this helps. We will summarize. Use the presets from pixels square for all projects unless specifically, you are required to use a different format to deliver specialized specialized to a playback device contents. NEVER mess with the setting BY in a window of the model. I don't know even why it is selectable. Nobody never showed me a legitimate reason to set a scale model on a non-standard footing. And finally, use a program like Adobe Media Encoder encoding to make your final product for delivery.

  When I hit the find, the window 'looking for the Mac"is a screenshot of everywhere where it appears on my screen.  If I grab it and move it, it keeps the screenshot.  Also it can't find what I'm looking for.  It is a new problem.

  Would you do a screen shot that people can see what you see? Make sure that you cover all personal information using the preview. The screen shot in a response using the camera icon or you can drag the screen shot in a response. Copy / paste does not work.

  To add to this miserable viewing experience, we cannot even e-mail Adobe to communicate this déclassé experience.  We are forced to complain to others.

  Well, finally found.  Go to the edition/preferences/display Page.  Under "Rendering: smooth text", choose "for computer/laptop LCD screens". "  Do not know why the default value is set to 'none', which gives you this mess / hard to read test.

  Most likely, you need to calibrate your monitor. Photoshop uses for accurate color calibrations, more even than other applications, which will apply to color "Monitor." If you go to the PS, and select view > test format > RBG monitor, the color will very probably seems correct, but it means that you are correct on a non calibrated screen images and other people could see your images as color stop.
