Noob needs help

I don't have a background in development, I just introduce my self and do with webworks. I have a few questions and I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me with them.

1. the most crucial is the debugging token. When I try to pack my application with the debugging token I created I get an error: "the path token debugging provided points not to a file. Believe me, I checked and double checked the name of path and it is written correctly, the debugging token was created successfully. The path is also correct. BTW I'm using a mac.

2. can I use the api of advertising with the playbook?

3. can the api announcements and bbm api added to our applications using a mac? (examples only show a system based on windows)

4. How can I keep the footer at the bottom of the page regardless of the amount of content that has the page? (bypassing it fixed)

Any help will be appreciated, thx in advance.

Try

/Users/luiscalderon/documents/DebugToken/debug_token.bar

I don't have a Mac, but the path must be a full path, and I don't think that it can withstand the ~ shortcut.

    Hello world!

    So I'm a 3D artist seeking to make a Web site that appears in most browsers, I currently use a flash model that is not so good that it does not work on my iphone (which is also something I need).
    I followed some tutorials and have a basis for my site but do you have a problem. Currently I use tables and an iframe to have all my pages open under my header/navigation bar which seemed to work until when I want a different size page to open in the iframe.

    I have a portfolio/gallery with many miniatures section which should link to another page with pics and info of this particular piece of superior resolution, the problem is that I get this horrible scroll bar if I put scrolling iframe on but if I don't have the full Web page after clicking on a thumbnail gets cut. Also I really don't want a scroll anyway I want to click on a thumbnail and then page down extend when the new page is loaded.

    I don't really know other ways to do what I'm a noob at coding etc so any suggestions on how to get this to work or links to tutorials would be great.

    Here is the test www.benoldfield.com/Website_test Web site, please click on the first thumbnail/image to see what I mean, the others are not configured and excuse long time loading and general design, not been worrisome in this regard.

    Thanks for any help!

    In a Word, start your project with a development shaped predefined CSS (preferably one that has been tested to run on all browsers).

    http://ALT-Web.com/templates/basic-1-Col-fixed.html

    Add content wide header and footer of the site.  Save it as a template (.dwt file) DW.  Add editable regions to the content model that will change the page.  Save again.  Close.

    File > new Page > model.  Insert thumbnail images.  Save as page index.html (your home page).

    File > new Page > model.  Insert images in real size and text descriptions. Save as Page2.html (or anything that is appropriate). Repeat for other pages of the site until you are finished.

    Open index.html page.  Each thumbnail link to its corresponding page of the site. Site Preview in browsers.  When you're happy, upload to your web server.

  • How can I change this pdf file? Noob needing help pro

    I have to translate this pdf file to Spanish. I tried the following "Advanced-> editing change the text" did not work... maybe they analyzed the file? judge: "document-> ocr text recognition"... does not work either.

    I have Adobe Acrobat Professional. I have attached a page of the file I want to edit. Please help me!

    Have you tried TOOLS > advanced editing > text editing tool? You will need the fonts on your system to do the editing. You may be able to change the font to something on your system if necessary. The file is the text (in boxes) and the text editor tool should do the job. I managed to change the Arial fonts (not all of them, there are some who are still in the old police who are numbers). I posted the result on http://wadavis.ece.vt.edu/CO2 ophir lenses.pdf. (you may need to replace the spaces with % 20)

  • Noob need help re offline db desktop app - is FB the right tool?

    Hello

    Thanks in advance for reading and being patient with my long winded noobiness!

    I am self-taught (read as: big gaps in my knowledge!) Designer/web developer independent, with experience developing PHP/mySQL database web-apps - with DW and hand coding.  I was contacted by a potential customer asking if I could build a simple desktop CRUD application and try to figure out if I can use my existing knowledge making.  It's something I know I have developed at a glance for the web, but I'm realizing I don't know the first thing - or even if to start to learn the first thing! -development of desktop software.  I hope that Flash Builder may be just the ticket for me (I do not know if the customer wants to wait while I learn JAVA!), because I already own and am familiar with CS5.  I'm going over all the documentation, tutorials, etc. that I can get my hands on, but am finding my brain a little overwhelmed and washed, so I hope one of you wonderful folk might be able to offer a simple answer!

    Can I use Flash Builder / Flex to develop a strictly offline, local CRUD desktop application, but which connects to a mySQL (local) database (ideally with PHP, since that's what I already know)-without him having to separately install a local server to the end user?

    Otherwise, any suggestions?  As well as Flex, I search in Java (but am finding the very steep learning curve) and Filemaker Pro 11 Advanced (which allows to create a run - but I think it's a bit restrictive and would rather not have any Filemaker trademark on the finished product),

    In case you're wondering why I don't only convince the customer to create a web - app instead, stored data must be sensitive, and the main target demographic is baby boomers, many of whom are still very wary of the interwebs

    Thank you very much for any help you can offer!

    See you soon,.

    David

    In fact, I think that Flex would be ideal with air with a base SQLite database (the database is built into AIR apps). However, if you have not done before programming with Flex, I will not trivialize learning curve you have in front of you. If you don't have it already done through Flex in a week or get the latest Source of Flex 4 training and familiarize themselves with the flexible workspace and programming environment. You will love come to love it, but it's a little different from PHP. It would be an easier transition, I think that, if you had a heavy JavaScript or Java background so that you felt comfortable using OOP, technical of programming. If you already structure your PHP programs with OO principles, it's going to be a matter of getting used to the language and, if I had to guess, which could take a month or two. That's my 2 cents worth.

  • NOOB need help please...

    I use Dreamweaver to create my Web site (www.actitudm.com if someone wants to check) and I have problems with the content from loading correctly. It seems that I have the right code, but is not finding my CSS or my pictures, so that the page is Jacked. I have godaddy Web hosting and the root, and everything seems good! Crazy support staff out there even said that all the files are where they are supposed to be, connecting simply does not correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    > Only the. CSS and. JPG files are subbed, the index file is at the root,
    > but the root of the remote control is/jaimew /. Does make a difference?

    Yes, it should probably be the directory of the remote host.

    > I put the code as follows:
    > Attach Code
    >

    This is false. Unless you put the files in a subdirectory named actitudm on the remote control, it should not be in the path.

  • noob need help with background__

    I play games online and I'm still getting kicked for Hi ping.
    thought that I would be closed a few things. 1 of these something on the Defender, was now when I start his shot and miss out on the weather that my background is rising on 32-bit or 16-bit and all my thumb nails is around the Collin. What should I do? also how can I drop my ping if there is all the players here?

    You obviously close some things that you shouldn't have touched. So, do a restore of the system to just before you tinkered. With respect to the ping, the only way to drop your ping is to get a faster and more reliable Internet connection. This has nothing to do with your operating system (Windows). In collaboration with Internet slow, you also might be trying to connect to game servers slow or very popular. You have no control over this.

    To run the system restore, go to the ORB start and in the start search box, type "System Restore" without the quotes. System Restore appears in the result of programs. Click it, enable the UAC prompt and follow the instructions in the wizard. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • ESXI noob needing help

    We had a dell r910 running windows server 2008 r2. We decided to take the used off r2 Vm converter on it and then unloaded this vmdk to a usb port.  Now, we have the dell r910 running esxi. Is there one way other than through the network, to mount as usb and add the vmdk so that I can get my r2 up and running virtually?

    I understand. Just use new converter. Attach the USB device to a computer that has the installed converter. Point the source to the location of the converted Windows Server and then point the destination to the new ESXi host.

  • Noob... haha. Need help to understand...

    OK, I downloaded and have the virtual machine of VMa 4.0 linux on my cluster...

    Now what...

    Our goal is to get daily reports in our email information about our environment from virtual machines, we run a 3 cluster nodes.

    I work a lot with linux, so I may need help to figure it all out.

    Thank you

    Try this:

    http://a2alpha.webnode.com/Healthcheck-script/

    He started by Ivo Beerens and with contributions from other institutions. I use on our sites and put in place to send every day as a scheduled task. You don't need the vMA to run it, it will work from the vCenter server. There are details of the requirements on the page. Its a powershell script.

  • Noob need conceptual help for the footer

    I used the search but have not found what I was looking for.

    I am a newbie in Dreamweaver, I CS5 I want to convert a few ancient sites, I created in Frontpage. I won't import or convert any code, I intend to only use the text and images of the old pages and pour them into a newly designed simple Dreamweaver site, just with external CSS files and any tables or absolute positioning for page layout.

    I need help to understand the conceptual differences between PS and DW. Right now I want to have a footer that goes at the bottom of each page and edit and maintain the content and presentation of this footer in one place (I guess only one place, in any case). In the public Service the footer is a separate file and a bot placed on a page would include one on the server side. What is the best way to create and maintain a footer of many pages with DW, please?

    I think I will use the header template and footer fixed 2 column unless someone tells me not to do as a basic design for my pages.

    My old sites, badly needing an update, are http://www.utahcrossroads.org et http://www.taggartfamily.org

    Thank you.

    Thank you, but it is a solution of $95 instead of one that uses myDreamweaver as is.

    The link points to the method of execution in SSIs, not the product to sell.

    The product itself is excellent and a great investment. I use it on many of my sites.

    However, the article is one of the clearest cases step by step tutorials that I know for setting up includes. This part is free.

    I've been poking around in a book, and it seems that what I want is a library file. Questions with who?

    Yes.

    DW library items look a lot like DW models that they share the same major drawback.

    You edit the library item and Dreamweaver manages the local update of all the pages on your computer that contain that element of the (good) library.

    Then all of the pages that has been changed (as a result of the update of the library item) must be downloaded separately on the server (bad).

    If you make a small change to a library item and, if 100 pages this library item, then these 100 Paag must each be individually uploaded to the server. That's two steps and a lot of tedious downloading.

    This is the case whenever you edit a library item.

    With SSIs (Server Side Includes), update you a simple, small text file, download this unique small text and a few seconds all of your site pages that are affected by that SSI is updated.

    I used elements of DW templates and library for many years and maintenance/update was a chore that has not happened often.

    When I discovered includes, I stopped using models and the library points. Maintenance/update is now a pleasure and occurs regularly.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need HELP on upgrading to os 4.5!

    Ok.. This is my second time trying to updrage my blackberry... my problem is that I intalled just my Office Manger 4.3, so I upgraded to 4.6... After this is done, I deleted the vender.xml... once I connected my blackberry on my computer and a pop up came... it was like reading, though she had no update or something. I told myself WELL, but I have it just disappeared and I was like NO! .. .i did all the steps correctly right...?

    need help!... problems it is a desktop software 4.7 now must I have downloaded which?

    I do not understand the difference on the softeware handheld and the desktop software... and when I go to the device sooftware I see it says upgrade to 4.5, I click it and download it but nothing happens...

    NEED HELP FROM MAJOR IM A NOOB ONE THESE THINGS LOL

    ANSWER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

    you have the Desktop Manager, which includes many things including:

    • a tool for synchronization of calendar, contacts, tasks
    • a backup tool
    • installation of application tool (to install applications on your device from the PC)
    • installation of an OS tool (for example, upgrade the operating system on your device)

    Desktop Manager available in many versions: 4.3, 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7. Since you use a curve, no matter what version is right for you. The last is supposed to have fewer bugs.

    On the operating system : this is something else. There are many OS versions for the curve: 4.2 4.2.1 4.3 4.5. Function of your trailer, you can have access to some. You can install the operating system to another carrier if you want, it takes just to delete the vendor.xml file.

    Install an operating system : one way to do it is:

    1. Download the setup of the operating system on your PC
    2. install the OS on your PC. It will bring the BONE inside the Desktop Manager
    3. the Desktop Manager allows to download the operating system in the desktop to the Device Manager.
  • Need help with understanding PowerCli scripting by LucD

    Hello

    I'll give you the standard statement that I am a noob powercli and don't really know what I'm doing here.  Here's a script that works because it runs without error and gives a report but I need help to understand this under his weight.

    Connect-VIServer '< our vcenter >' - user < user > admin-password < admin-user-pwd >

    $allvms = @)

    $vms = get - Vm | where {$_.} PowerState - eq "Receptor"}

    $start = (get-Date). AddDays(-1)

    $metrics = "mem.usage.average".

    $stats = get-Stat-entity $vms - start $start - Stat $metrics

    $stats | Group-object - property {$_.} Timestamp.Day}, {$_.} @entity.name} | %{

    $vmstat = "" | Select the day, MemAlloc, MemMin, MemMax, MemAvg, VmName

    $vmstat. VmName = $_. Values [1]

    $vmstat. Day = $_. Group [0]. Timestamp.Date

    $mem = $_. Group | where {$_.} MetricId - eq "mem.usage.average"} | Measure-object-property value - average - Maximum - Minimum

    $vmstat. MemMax = [int] $mem. Maximum ##dfsdf

    $vmstat. MemAvg = [int] $mem. Average

    $vmstat. MemMin = [int] $mem. Minimum

    $vmstat. MemAlloc = $_. Group [0]. Entity.MemoryMB

    $allvms += $vmstat

    }

    $allvms |

    Export-Csv "c:\ < folder > \ <>.csv file Destination"-noTypeInformation

    It connects to our server vcenter server and offers two days of data.  Today and yesterday, all with a timestamp of 0:00.  See below for an example of a virtual machine.

    VmNameDayMemAllocMemMaxMemAvgMemMin
    < name VM1 >07/05/2016 0:004096181818
    < name VM1 >06/05/2016 0:0040963612

    8

    The MemMax, the MemAvg and the MemMin are for this day?  Just the max of this period of sampling time 0:00?

    What I'm looking for, it is to find that the use of the maximum memory of virtual machines are for the whole day.  So I hope that I can remove memory of VMs that do not use it.  I was listed on the change $start = (Get-Date). The value of AddDays(-1) to $start = (Get-Date). AddDays(-30) and see what things alike.  I want to be sure however that the value for MemMax is the highest value for a period of 24 hours.  That is to say for the 07/05/2016 the given virtual machine never used a maximum of 18% of his memory attributed the 06/05/2016 the maximum amount of memory used was 36%, and so on that I extend on the date range.

    Kind regards

    Michael

    It then becomes a rather simple Get-Stat script.

    $vms = get - Vm | where {$_.} PowerState - eq "Receptor"}

    $start = (get-Date). AddDays(-1)

    $metrics = "mem.usage.average".

    Get-Stat - entity $vms - start $start - Stat $metrics |

    Select Timestamp,@{N='VM'; E={$_. @entity.name}}, Value |

    Tri-objet-VM property |

    Export-Csv "c:\------.csv '-noTypeInformation

  • Need help with AS3!

    Hello! I need help on as3. I'm still a noob at this stuff.

    I'm doing a simple game. You must click on the bugs that moves randomly to the bottom of the screen. When you click on the bugs, they will become invisible

    and if none of the bugs through the bottom of the screen, you lose 1 live.

    But right now, im of the problems with the script. When I click on the bugs and she go, life is further reduced. I don't understand.

    And theres also error coming out. "TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference."

    " to buh_fla::MainTimeline/tekan().

    Here is the script:

    ===================================

    Stop();

    import flash.events.Event;

    import flash.events.MouseEvent;

    var iscore:int = 0;

    score. Text = iscore.toString ();

    var health: int;

    health = 3;

    trace (Health);

    for (var i: int = 0; i < 10; i ++) {}

    var f: bug = new bogues();

    addChild (f);

    var fn = Math.round (Math.random () * 2) + 1;

    f.gotoAndPlay (fn);

    f.x = Math.random () * stage.stageWidth;

    f.SP = Math.random () * 7;

    f.addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, animate);

    f.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, klik);

    }

    function klik(e:MouseEvent) {}

    e.target.visible = false;

    iscore += 1;

    score. Text = iscore.toString ();

    }

    function animate (e: Event) {}

    e.Target.y += e.target.sp;

    e.Target.Visible = true;

    {if(health==0)}

    gotoAndPlay ("gameover")

    }

    }

    }

    ============================================

    You lose life because you are not to remove bugs or their listener but only making them invisible

    function klik(e:MouseEvent) {}

    e.Target.Visible = false;

    iscore += 1;

    score. Text = iscore.toString ();

    to this code

    var delbug = e.currentTarget
