Not able to download & install computer Windows XP SP3.
Original title: xp pro using updater fails to download and install sp3 - all previous service packs installed successfully. No error code, just a message that it could not install.
No associated error code. prevvious updated worked fine.
When you say "using updater", are you referring to Windows Update or automatic updates? There is a better way.
1. download the installation of SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

(You can TOTALLY ignore the message "intended for it professionals"!)
http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)
(If you already have IE8 installed, you must uninstall it for best results. Trust in me.)
And if you wish, download the Setup file of a good anti-virus program. I recommend Avira free Antivirus:

2. disconnect Internet. Also unplug all unnecessary devices.
3. temporarily disable the automatic updates. To do this:
Start | Control Panel (switch to Classic view if not already selected). Automatic updates
4. install the SP3. Restart TWICE.
5 move to IE8. Restart TWICE.
6. install anti-virus software.
(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).
7. make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should already be):
Start | Control Panel | Security Center
(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet. Update Antivirus program.)
8 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates. Restart each time you are prompted.
9. reactivate the automatic updates.

I was not able to download the updates of Windows XP
I have a dell machine running xp / sp3 who has started having failures to download or install updates may 9. Since then he has not installed updates even if it is set to do so all night at 04:00. If you have been playing around with the settings, you'd be wise to resinstall. All that are "machine accounts" which are automatically defined by the system to the evolution of random passwords. If you have accounts of changes of ntauthority to other accounts, you perhaps weakened the security level of the operating system.
No it's not a portal, that even Microsoft doesn't know what are these passwords.

I'm not able to download Adobe Edge reflow to my Windows 10. It is said there download on the web page, and the seams do something on the cloud adobe creative (but that's all). I don't see that there actually download the apps tab and tried to restart my computer, but nothing works.

- Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
- Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
- Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
- Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
- Select 'Repair' when prompted.
- When you are prompted, select System Restore.
- Configure Windows to a point until you have changed the password.
- Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key.
