  What exact version of LR do you use?  Use the help / System Info and look down.

  The A7S requires LR 5.5 or newer.

  The A7S II requires LR 6.2 or newer.

  Files uncompressed Sony A7xxx cameras require LR 6.2 or perhaps LR 6.3 I believe.

  This message indicates that you have not permission in writing to the destination directory.

  So:

  1. Determine the destination directory... go in the Lightroom import dialog box and note the location of this directory specified on the right side under "Destination".
  2. Go to your operating system and change the permissions on this exact directory have WRITE permission.

  Or you try to save a file edited in Photoshop as a DNG?

  For what purpose, exactly? A TIFF, PSD or PSB file can have a raw file, saved as a smart object (to allow a subsequent reprocessing in Camera Raw) and all the pixels / editing of vector layers intact.

  If recording maximize compatibility, it can be opened in Lightroom for cataloging and editing, if necessary.

  I'm unable to import photos into lightroom on my Mac 5. It will be the first segment of unit import photos and the last bit, but leave out the middle section of photos. I thought it was because I changed the settings on my camera one day and those pictures of that day could not be imported, but it did just the same thing when I tried to import photos from my iPhone. It would incorporate pictures from October and December, but none since November. I tried to uncheck "do not import suspected duplicates", but which did not help either.   Hi, sorry for my English, I solved this first remove what hides your real all this files where you have actually sent. Then go to

  C:\Users\YOUR WINDOWS USER \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common and delete all the files inside:

  Be cached anywhere

  Media cache

  Media cache files

  PTX

  then change to a new location of your cache files in the PREFERENCES / MEDIA

  then just reopen your project and wait for files compliant and that is all...

  Hi Markl,

  Please make sure that you use the 'Copy' option when importing images in Lightroom from the SD card.

  Delete the images once and then re-import images using the 'Copy' option and change the images in the develop Module.

  I always had problems trying to import my photos into Lightroom. I have read many articles on it and watched many tutorials, and none of them does not seem to work for me. I'm working on a Mac OS (El Capitan) and I use the Photos App on my computer. I take photos for a living, and I want some "records" of the Photos App to import into Lightroom so I can change, so I want to save them back in the 'File' or 'Album' from the Photos App. I'm frustrated that there is no means to achieve and that Lightroom is so different from Photoshop and other items.

  Well, you cannot migrate your images directly from App Photos in Lightroom as opening.

  You export your App Photos images and save it somewhere on the machine, then Lightroom would be able to see your images and can add/import your images into the software so that you can edit them later.

  If you upload to 'Photos' on your Mac, they will not appear in Lightroom.  Photos from Apple and Adobe Lightroom do not play well together.  You must export the images of 'Photos' in a folder on your Mac before you can import into Lightroom.
