I can't run Task Manager. When I do ctrl alt del, it nothing happens when I do a search for the Task Manager and double click on it I get
Cannot find C:\windows\system32\taskmgr.exe. When I hold the windows key and press x and then click on task Manger unspecified error. When I go into C:\Windows\System32 , there is none taskmgr.exe. Can't understand why the Task Manager does not work. Looks like I just need to install a file or two but I do not know.
Hello
It is not listed as taskmgr.exe. Taskmgr just as an application.
You might try to open it by right clicking on your taskbar... it is\should have a button to start.

New upgrade FF and all the flash based video site does not load and makes computer almost hang. After I open the Task Manager and go to the folder where is the plugin container, everything works back. I don't do anything at all after opening the folder.
What kind of error is it? Its very strange. If all goes well, there is a fix for this.
Another method would be to uninstall FF and install FF8.0 and not use the upgrade FF7.0. It worked for me.

Can not stop winmail.exe even if it is closed with the x. The next time it tried to open there is a note saying winmail.exe is still running. You must then open the Task Manager to close. Then it opens normally. Happening at each stop down but at least after every 3rd or 4th time.

My refuses to mouse click until I opened the task manager - what could be the cause?
I installed Windows 7 pro on my laptop (64 bit) and for some reason, when I start the computer, on which the mouse will be able to move, but can't select anything or click. When I fly over things that should light up, nothing seems to happen. I have similar issues - when I open the Task Manager, the mouse begins to click. In fact, when I press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and with the pointer of the mouse on "Start Task Manager" I can see the mouse commit but I don't know what process is engaged to achieve. I can also drag files in folders or use the scroll wheel with my mouse. I use a Lenovo laptop on a dock with a keyboard and a Microsoft wireless mouse. I seem to be able to drag the files when I'm not on the dock. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

original title: virus csrss.exe?
I use Vista Home Premium. When I open the Task Manager and select "Show processes from all users" there are 2 files csrss.exe. I learned that this indicates that I was infected by a virus. Is this the case?
Hi Julie,.
Did you the latest changes on the system?
Csrss.exe is Client/Server Runtime Subsystem. All the Microsoft system has file csrss.exe running in the Task Manager, but it is likely to be infected by others. If it uses a lot of time processor and extremely abnormal in activities in the Task Manager, you can run a scan of the system security.
You can read the following article to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and perform a full scan on your computer.
Note: When you perform the analysis, there are chances of losing the data that you can take a backup of important data before performing analysis.
Hope this information is useful.

Get the "pcwum.dll is missing" error message when you open the Task Manager
Original title: Windows 7 64-bit: task manager and windows update does not work, amd update failed to load detectionprogramm and crashes from time to time
Sometimes, when I try to open the windows task manager it says: "Het programma kan niet worden gestart omdat pcwum.dll Land op uw computer. ' U * says clean mogelijk oplossen door het programma opnieuw you installeren. Basically, he says pcwum.dll is missing on my computer and I can fix it by reinstalling the program. As it is I can't reinstall the Task Manager. Also, when I try to check for Windows updates, it does not work because it says: "uh" momenteel niet naar "kan updates gezocht worden, omdat Windows Update-service niet actief is. U moet uw computer opnieuw opstarten mogelijk. "translated: you can not search for updates now, because the Windows Update service is not active." You may have to restart your computer. It says this all the time so I will have this since June have not updated since then. When I try to update my AMD updater it says there is a new version available, I now 12.6 and 12.8 update. Can I download and extract, but whenever I try to install it it says it can't find the driver detection program. I have an AMD ATI - Radeon 5700. My computer crashes now and then. I get the famous blue screen, who said he had a problem with a driver (probably one of my graphics card) and needs to restart. When it restarts I have first option starting in safe mode, but I can't update my drivers in safe mode so that didn't help out me. Please help me, I'm having this problem for a few months now, and it gets really annoying.

Sorry, I'm new to the type of problem-solving process, and I don't know how to change my first speech. My true statement is less to:
My pdf freezes when I click on COMMENT. I'm trying to get the tools to edit a pdf file. If I use the tools on the toolbar, there is no problem, but as soon as I click on the COMMENT, the document hangs and I have to open the Task Manager to plant it. It started in the last seven days (3.31.15).
I responded to your questions below, BUT while I was looking for properties, I found repair service REPAIR the INSTALLATION of ACROBAT, and (this is) the issue has been resolved!
Thanks for making me look for information.

I use Acrobat Pro XI, version 11.0.10.32.
I created the file, that I worked in during the freeze, so I tried a PDF I created with Adobe and it also freezes when I click on COMMENT. I discover that the OBSERVATIONS of the plug-in is loaded. (See image
I used the REVIEW for years without this problem occurring. He started in the last 2 weeks.
I could not find real estate under the file menu, but found a security setting in the preferences in the Edit menu. It doesn't have a way to allow/disallow COMMENT.

Hello
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 with Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit). Until Monday, there is no problem whatsoever with my computer at all. I have not installed or uninstalled, whatever it be, changed settings, done anything differently with my computer. Suddenly it now "hangs" on the screen of closing down. I'll try to reboot or stop using the menu start, and it will stay on this screen indefinitely. Now, I have to manually turn off the computer. I spent on the Support page and studied the Performance issues, and all I get is I have Visual settings that interfere with closing... except my Visual settings have not changed in any way. In addition, I can not properly update my computer or do a system restore because the computer will shut down.
In addition, the Task Manager will appear no more. I'll press ctrl alt del and nothing appears, just the green icon in the corner of the screen. If I try to right click, no response.
I tried to do a full system scan in Norton Internet Security but she "leaves" scanning. It will scan correctly when I'm in safe mode, but it comes with no virus, trojan or other problem.
So in essence, I tried everything I can think of to fix my computer nothing works. It was working perfectly before this week. I have no idea where to go. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
G
HelloMethod 1.
First check to see if there are external devices attached to the computer, if so remove and check.Method 2.Step A.Start your computer in safe mode and check if it starts.Troubleshooting in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshooting-problems-while-in-safe-modeStep B.If it starts on the desktop in safe mode and then set your computer to the clean boot and check if it starts successfully. If it starts successfully can be a third-party application or service is causing the problem. We can use the approach 50 / 50 to narrow down the root cause of the problem.
See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state. How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.Method 3.
I recommend to run the restore of the system in safe mode and check if it works very well.

This solved the problem for me too, you can select the top of the file (in

Check "include permissions inheritable" AND "replace all permissions of the child".
Work done :)

I recently started using Windows 8. But after a few days, I started facing a problem with the Task Manager. When I press Ctrl + Shift + ESC, the Task Manager opens for a second and quits immediately. I tried using other ways to open the Task Manager, as a right click on the taskbar, and then click the Ctrl + Alt + Delete option too. IM facing the same problem. Help, please.
Hello
You can try after the ways to solve this problem:
1. open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following location.
C:\Windows\System32
Look in this folder for the file taskmgr.exe
If you find the file, double click on this file. This starts the Task Manager?
2. If above a breaks down, then try to run command SFC/scannow in prompt with administrative privileges.
I hope that you are the administrator of your Windows 8. If nothing is done, go to update:
