Not appearing is not in the installed programs Panel > uninstall program list

I noticed a few weeks ago that most of my installed programs, especially those that I installed myself (but not all), do not arise in my part of the control panel uninstall.  They are all on my computer, and I can use them all.  I also noticed that most programs that do NOT are in the Program Files (x 86) folder on the C drive.  Programs presenting themselves seem to be ones that came installed on the computer when I bought it (this is not the case for each of them) and are in the regular Program Files folder on the C drive.  Any idea what the problem may be and how to fix it?

Here's what's coming (view, there is not date/time in the column "last used on '.)  These used is displayed).

Hi GraceBowers,

The programs that you are not able to see under uninstall programs list?

Method 1
You will not be able to see all the programs installed under Uninstall list of programs such as Internet Explorer, Windows Media player etc. If you want to see the location of the program, try the steps.
a. right click on the program.
b. click Properties.
c. check the location of the program where it was installed.

Method 2
I suggest you try the manual steps at the following link.

Add/Remove Programs displays installed the tool incorrectly (applies to Windows 7)

Note: The manual steps will work even for Windows 7.

  • Windows 7 taskbar and start menu large icons are either missing (empty by default) or do not show the right program.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium on an AMD Athlon (TM) II X 4 630 2.80 GHz with 6.0 GB of RAM (64 bit OS). PC is up-to-date with the latest updates and use Norton Anti Virus.

I used this PC for several months with no problems. After doing some research in my menu of the taskbar Windows Explorer and start icons have become corrupted. The links always work but do not show the right program.

I tried several things to fix this. I removed everything in the start menu and taskbar, rebooted, added a few back but the problem still exists. I deleted the icon cache file (renamed to db.old), restarted, problem still exist. I made a recovery of a checkpoint system before the problem was still not fixed. When I go to small icons, the problem disappears. The problem only seems to appear when you use large icons in the bar of tasks and the start menu.

Based on what I've tried so far is there any other suggestions on how to fix this?

This tutorial is to rebuild the icon cache when the cache is corrupt.

  • Update are not not in the installed updates

    I am running Vista SP2.

I'm having the problem of police that the other discussions say is related to the KB3013455 update.

This update is listed in my story to update as being installed successfully on 11/02/2015.

This update is not listed in my installation to date.  Indeed, no update with no title "update security for Windows Vista for x 64...-based systems. "are listed in the installed updates.

Is other that do a system restore and delete all updates to 10/02/2015, there a way to remove the KB3013455 if it is not in the installed updates?

I was going to check a few more updates.  When I rebooted updates installed, he showed updates - as KB3013455 - missing previously.  Problem solved, sort of.

  • Folder "Programs and features" shows the installed program, but is blank when the file size must be listed.

Original title: what does it mean when you have a program installed, but when you open the folder "Programs and features" it shows the program installed but remains empty where should be the size of the file?

Shows information for the installed program, including the NAME, PUBLISHER, & INSTALLED ON (DATE), but under the info column of SIZE empty sound while 98% of all my installed programs show how much KB or MB "and specific program installed. Seems to lack the SIZE info only on any one of my Adobe programs and a few select other random programs?

    Hi AlinaSporl,

The size information is reported by the uninstaller for each program component. A program of uninstalling programs will not report this value, so the size of the program does not appear in this list.

Another way to get a close estimate of the total size for an individual program is to check the properties of this installation of programs parent folder in C:\Program Files.

You can read the following article and check:

How add/remove programs is the size and other information?

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Serial port doesn't work is not on the installed machine

    Hi people.

I developed a labview program that reads from the serial port. It works fine on my development machine, but when I install it on a different machine, it will not work. I tried several facilities. Both the automatically selected installallers and checking the DURATION of NI-VISA 15.0. I also see shared components VISA 5.6.0 (64-bit) in installed programs. Do I need to add additional drivers or anything like that.

I would assume that selected installers automatically chooses everything. I am blind as to what is the problem.

  • How to uninstall a program that is not in the category 'Programs' from the Panel control?

The program I'm trying to uninstall is a game called 'Purble Place' and it was already installed in my computer. I want to uninstall it because it seems to me a bit too childish and not very interesting. I tried to find it in the control panel in the category 'Programs', but it was not and I could not find a solution in the internet, even not in the "help and Support Program". Does anyone know how to uninstall the game (and maybe installed programs that are not listed in "Uninstall programs")?

    Hello, James R, P

It would be prudent to remove entries from the registry and the values for Purble Place. It doesn't hurt also to them to leave because they don't refer to any program since you already have you have already uninstalled the software.

I hope this helps answer your question.

  • Do not run after installing programs

I only noticed it a day or two ago and thought that it was just an isolated issue related to a game, but I tried four or five different programs today and they all have the same question. When I install a program, everything works normally without sensible error, and the program runs the installer. But there is no icon on the desktop, I can't get on the start menu, and I can not find the path in all the program files folders. It is extremely recent, I installed a program very well last week, but now I have to re - install new programs every time I want to run because I have no other way to access. Any suggestions?

    7 home Premium 64 running.

    Hello

Installation sometimes a driver or a program can make Windows run slowly or erratically. System Restore can return programs and system files from your PC to a time where everything worked, potentially prevent hours of troubleshooting of headaches. This will not affect your documents, images or other data. Because it was working fine please previously perform check and system restore.
