Hello jwolf6589,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that you are unable to add some specific widgets of Notifications in the Notification Center.  Since it is a system function, I would like you please reinstall Mac OS X by following the instructions described below.

If a recent Mac, you can use OS X Recovery to reinstall OS X.

  1. Turn on your Mac.
  2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the command and R on your keyboard.
  3. Release the buttons after the appearance of the Apple logo.
  4. If you are prompted, select a Wi - Fi network, or connect your Mac to the Internet via an Ethernet cable.
  5. After that the recovery menu will appear, select the option to install OS X.
  6. Follow the prompts on the screen to select your destination drive and install OS X.

These steps to reinstall the latest version of Mac OS X that you had previously installed on your Mac. If you want to reinstall the version of Mac OS X included with your Mac, store the command-Option-R at the start instead. This starts your Mac recovery of the Internet.

How to reinstall OS X on your Mac

Take care.

  • No weather widget appearing in the notification Center

    Hi guys!

I own an iPhone neverlocked 5 with iOS 9.3 installed on it. My problem - as the title suggests - is that I do not see the weather in the notification Center widget since I was this phone (October 2014), exactly, it is a long time and now I thought I'll do a little research about my problem, but it seems that nobody had yet to this kind of problem. Before ask you: location services are turned on, js access to the weather app integrated; view/summary today is active; the weather application is not in a folder, it is on the cover; Yes, I rebooted my phone, made all sorts of discount at zero for the last year and a half, or two new iOSs is out since I have this phone; currently I use the Hungarian language, but previously, it was used in English and Swedish etc. I believe that I did what I could do this fixed error, without any solution.

If you know the secret answer to the question: "Why is what's happening?", please share it with me! Since I switched from iPhone 4 to 5, I miss this feature of the notification Center.

    Best regards

    Adam

After you activate location Services is a good start, but you must make sure that 'Allow access location' is set to always the weather.

You may have activated your iPhone location Services, but have this option disabled for the weather.

Settings > privacy > location Services > weather

I found this site as well, which recommend to download an application called The Weather Network. It can be added to the Notification Center once the application has been implemented all the way. Never used it myself, but it's supposed to be a more detailed weather forecast.

  • Definition of widgets as default view in the notification Center

When I pull down from the top in the iOS 10, it gives me the notifications view, not widgets. How can I put it all first to give me the widgets?

    Thank you

After that you pull down the notification view, drag the view to the right and you will see the widgets. You will notice at the bottom of points two screen. That means dragging the view displays a different page. At present, there seems to be no way that widgets show first. I hope this helps.

  • iPad iOS 10 - no time in the notification Center

Hi I have a Pro 12.9 iPad running iOS 10.0.2. I tried to check the weather in the center of notification yesterday and the weather wasn't there. I have no idea how long the time is missing. Honestly, I don't remember if I never checked the weather on my iPad before. In any case, I made the location services has been enabled for the weather (it was) and rebooted the iPad. But even today, still getting no time, just the date today. Works fine on my iPhone iOS 10 running. Any ideas?

I noticed that options for "summary today ' today/tomorrow" went from the edit page of Notification Center as well. Funny I've never seen an iOS 10 review mentioning that.

On a related note, can anyone recommend a free accurate weather widget that displays just the basic information (not in a paragraph I read as in the case of the Weather Channel widget) or a paid (but preferably free) app that does the same thing but displays also a weather for 3-5 days? Forecast + seems ideal, but I heard that it is not true. Also, I can't find it in the app store.

Drag the home screen to the right and bring it to the top of the screen today. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and if you do not see a time, then press the button change. From there, you will have the choice to add or remove it from the home screen. They are in alphabetical order so weather appears near the bottom of the screen. Tap to the left of the weather and that adds to the page. They will be in the order which shows at the top of the page, so you can arrange them in the desired order.

  • Cannot respond to messages from the Notification Center on iPhone 7

I got the new iPhone Plus 7 and I cannot respond to messages from the Notification Center more. Whenever I have to swipe left to answer, it only gives me the opportunity to clear the message. I don't think that it is the new update because I had downloaded iOS 10 on my iPhone 6 and I was still able to respond to messages from the Notification Center very well. Anyone else having this problem or knows what to do? I looked to see if there is a setting I'm missing somewhere, but I can't find anything.

Also, whenever I get a Notification of banner, sometimes they just hang there up until I drag them away. This isn't a huge problem, of course, but it's kind of annoying. I think it's maybe the iOS because he did on my old phone when I've updated as well. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello alexnicole99,

Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important is to be able to respond to Notifications is for you! From what you have said, the difference between your iPhone 6 and iPhone 7 is that your iPhone 7 uses the 3D touch functionality to respond to notifications on screen lock and in the Notification Center. Here is more information about the Notifications and touch use 3D:

  • iOS 10 birthdays in the notification center/today ' hui discovers

In iOS 9 there was a line under the date of the notice of Notification Center/today ' hui which displays something like "today is the 37th anniversary of John."

This seems to have disappeared in the iOS 10 or I'm the only one who has this?

The widget "to the top next" can't handle this because birthdays are recorded as events all day and this widget does not show the events all day...

    Hey Kevin,

No, I checked that the behavior. A friends birthday is today and he is not visible in the widget "what is next and 'calendar'.» Added a 'all day' - events to see if it is a bug in the Birthday tag in contacts, but apparently not as well. So I think this is a bug in all the events of the day. Have you reported it to apple?

BTW: I had a hard time trying to add a date of birth for a person, ios was the entry of the year. After trying several times, it worked.

  • How can I keep Notification Center on when views are mirrored?

I have a permanent office that is very large and has two keyboard tanks. This allows a Chair / Corner workstation on one side and a permanent job on the other. I have an iMac to a workstation, with an external monitor to the other workstation. The iMac is mirrored with the other display while I can switch quickly back to attend the meeting without missing a beat.

OS X turn on do not disturb the default mode when the display is reflected. I know that there is a setting in the Notification Center preferences window to disable this option. However, whenever I restart my computer, the box that says turn on do not disturb "when mirroring for screens and projectors" is checked again, and I have to turn off manually the do not disturb.

Is it possible to stop this?

Clear this check box in system preferences > notifications

  • notification center twitter cannot authenticate

In the center of the El Capitan notification when I add Twitter I get a message under the two trends and highlights that says "could not authenticate you", but my account is authenticated in the pref pane Internet accounts. Suggestions? In addition, I remember that I could create a tweet by on older versions of OSX notification Center. My memory is faulty or is there a way to do this?

    Thank you

    Eric

I was never able to use it either.

I tried to deactivate and activate the widget, disable and enable both options at this, restart, remove my Twitter from the Mac and add it again and it never worked for me. Not even add a second Twitter account to the first.

  • Notification Center and calendar

Hi, I want to be interrupted by the notification Center.  So I turned on the do not disturb from 00:00 to 23:59.  However, this disables the calendar alerts, I love to appear on the middle of the screen with a sound that accompanies it (as he did in Snow Leopard).  Is it possible to disable the notification Center without disabling the calendar alerts?

    Thank you, Mike.

You can disable individual applications in system preferences > Notifications. Select each application that you do not want to appear and uncheck options or select the alert style as none.

  • How to shorten the details displayed by email to the Notification Center iOS 10?

In iOS 10, each email appears in the Notification Center with a large amount of detail/lines.  Is there a way to configure notifications to display only the subject and sender of new emails, or otherwise reduce the level of detail?  I would rather see less detail in the Notification Center, unless I press article for more details.

    Hello triplegreen,

Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important is able to customize how your email will appear in the Notification Center is for you! The good news is that these steps will be useful for your problem, you can go to settings > mail > overview and change for lines 1 or 2, depending on your personal preferences.

  • Deleting Email in the Notification Center - iOS 10

    Hello world

I've recently upgraded to ios 10 and it is fine on a few things, I think it's not so great for my email and the notification Center.

Using the earlier version of iOS, I would view my notification Center and he would show me all the most recent e-mails that came in.  No matter what email I want to mark as read, I would slide right and mark as read or any email that I wanted to delete, I had to slide to the left and remove.  I was send by the breeze and clear through several emails using this method.

Now, when I see the email in the notification Center, I slide from left and I SAW and CLEAR.  I know that clear, delete this notification far and the view opens a small secondary window where I have the ability to then 'TRASH' the message if I can't.  Although this feature is fine, it's a bit annoying to go through this process 100 times where as the previous method was bam bam bam.

Is it possible to get that old way back once again!

    Thank you, Dov

I have the same question. Changes in the user interface on the notification Center are maddening. In fact, I've downgraded to iOS 9.3.5 because of them. 9.3.5 emails had three actions (X = clear, mark as read, trash) and now in iOS 10 there are two (display or erase) and if you click view, you can navigate to mark as read or Trash. What was a simple click is now two. Doesn't really look like a problem until you are dealing with hundreds of emails a day. In addition, it is not at all clear why Apple would do this. My best guess is that they wanted to jam more stuff into force Touch. But even in this case, it is quite functional and usable. Instead, it is just slower and more boring. In this case, he is Force to touch like a runnning around looking for a problem solution.

The difficulty of this Apple. I can't, for the life of me understand how everything UI/UX expert think it was a good idea. It's not like you to be as this disconnected from the experience of your customers.
