• How to make the push notification as APN (notification of transmission of apple) with Blackberry API

  Hi all

  I want to know how to get push notification as we APN. I found a demo in the code example of RIM named "httppushdemo" with the server and client code.

  It works this way,

  My custom server (java servlet) push a few data for some static ip (on MDS with given port), on my desk and the BB device receive the MDS data, where my blackberry MDS Simulator is on. So in this case I got direct push notification when the application is activated.

  Flow for Simulator is so as:

  Server customized---> MDS (with specific ipadrees / port)<-------------- >

  (do)                                                              (receive the push)

  But my question is that, in the event of a real device, I have MDS to push the text to the specific ip address.  I have MDS in my device itself. So from where custom server I need to push the text?

  Direct to device? if yes then please tell me where I can change my bb device ip address. ?

  The AFN is similar to the notion of PPG in BlackBarry who is world BES MDS or Service of Push BlackBerry World BIS. Http you post your button to one of the PPG and it routes the message to the device for you.

  Keep in mind when you push user push BIS and BES that push you to the device with address e-mail or a PIN that you can push only per SPINDLE.

  We wondered. We went through the process of sending a text notification and everything seemed to go well (confirmation box it was sent).

  Our devices are all set to be allowing notifications to the application.

  But we get nothing.

  There are two different types of push notifications: push the notice and text notifications.

  In a newspaper kiosk application, users must be subscribers to get push notifications of type of background.

  To receive text notifications, users don't need to subscribe to the app. They just need to accept notifications of type push when prompted.

• Notification of transmission of newsstand

  I published a new folio for our newsstand app and made a notification.

  The result was that just the cover changed to the newsstand.

  I thought that it is also a red badge, and a Blue Ribbon will sign to cover?

  So, what could be wrong.

  The Red badge and Ribbon appear only if the folio has been downloaded successfully. Is there a reason why the folio does not download, as a matter of law or subscription?

• Errors notification push - queued twice and we won't

  From the dashboard of DPS, by selecting Notifications sent push notifications, when I send a notification of transmission of the text it is queued twice.

  Underneath, the send button was pressed only once; However, notifications of type push two were queued:

  

  More concerning, is that one correct and the other is false.

  In the double article selected in the launch the application and navigate to an article in a folio option does not.  Under the Player's Destination, he goes to a 072015_001LT article - that is not what has been selected.

  

  In the notification of transmission of the correct text article in the Reader of Destination is correct.  In this example, it should be 072015_068

  

  Capable of reproducing this constantly, it is tedious and about.

• Push notifications for Pro subscription non-kiosque apps?

  I am struggling to determine the answers to some questions that different sources seem to suggest different things, so:

  • We have a professional subscription DPS, not business
  • We create a multi-question application
  • As we are not publishing content on a calendar, we do not want to create a kiosk app

  Are we able to have push notifications for users that new content is available to download?

  I thought I had read that it was possible, but that the notification (for now) would be limited to a badge on the icon showing the number of new items of content available. Now, I'm not sure.

  If it * is * possible, that someone know a guide for the right settings to apply when you configure the application in DPS App Builder?

  Finally - assuming it's possible - push notifications appear in the development version of the application?

  Yes, if you create a certificate to push and turn on notifications of type push when you build the application, a badge will appear on your non-kiosque application icon to newspapers when you publish a new folio (click Notify in Folio Producer). Read the release guide for more information on creating the certificates to push and which allows to push. (We hope to have notifications of transmission available in standard text based push later this year.) For now, it's just the Red badge).

  No, push notifications do not appear in the development version of the application. There is a complicated way to make it work in a development application, but it is not worth.

  IAM developing a notification of transmission of conataining app. I saw tha sample app "collector push."

  My problem is:

  (in what the two sample files are provided 1) 10.1 and less than 2) for 10.2 and more

  My Question is:

  If Iam using the folder for the 10.1 and lower grades and my App is currently in version 10.1. If the user is updating their device at 10.2 will be the works of push. How can I make my push notification App works for all versions.

  In my view, that the folder with "10.2" contains just the new "headless" form of the application, which is OPTIONAL.

  It is quite possible to continue to use the approach 10.1 without any component even headless to 10.2. If you want to target the two versions of the OS for now with a single application, simply use the approach 10.1 and everything "should" work fine on 10.2.

• Distribution in app Google game

  We launched our magazines on the Google game successfully, and I have a few questions on distribution and subscriptions. I am a business user and has requested assistance from the Support Gold, but their answers to my questions were vague at best. So I'm turning the DPS community to see what other editors.

  I understand that the DPS does currently support Google game subscriptions, or support push notifications. Our magazines are free, and I can not set up in application billing for a product that costs nothing. So how the editors of free magazines do their readers know when a new folio is available for download from the Google game? Am I missing something?

  Second, how readers find your application in the game store? When I search my magazines using their exact title, I get 250 results and none of them are mine. If I search using one of the keywords in the title, they appear as our 64 and 67 in the results of the research. How my readers are supposed to find the app? No one would have the patience to scroll through that a lot of apps to find.

  Notification of transmission of text is something that is in preparation for our native Android Viewer that should help with the issue of discovery that you mention once a player has installed your application. It is not available in version 31, but I hope that we will have it some time in 32 version.

  As for the problem of search results, I feel your pain. I think that it gets better over time as more people download your App "Adobe Content Viewer" appear on the first several pages of results once we have released the new native version. It took weeks before starting to appear higher in the results

• Editing a multi-probleme of already published?

  So after 2 days of trying to work with Apple and Adobe requirements I hope another user editing DPS can help me.

  I am about to create my first app to be available in the Apple App Store after working in-house with DPS for a year. This will be a viewer multi-probleme launch with a couple of publications. I understand the difference between a regular application and booth but I still have to get a grip on the process of updating the application as soon as they are published.

  When I want to add a publication/number 3 to my Viewer already published application do I go through the process of submitting the binary for Apple as I do to start? Is there a difference in this process if it's a kiosk app or not?

  If I do not change the viewer at all, but just add another question is really a new version? What is the point of notification of transmission through DPS if the app has an update via the app store.

  If someone could point me to all of the resources that explain what the process would be much appreciated.

  End goal - add a publication to the Viewer even existing and have the red icon pop - up on the soft for someone who has already downloaded the application that there is a new problem. What do I need to do this, once the application is online in the Apple store?

  Just to publish the new show as 'Public' of the Folio (title id) producer. Your new folio will appear you App. You don't have to submit a new binary for each of the questions in case of Multi applications. Restrict the binary presentation periodic presentation for bug fixes / etc version DPS upgrade.

• How to reset the number of Badge Application AS3

  Hello

  I sent a notification of transmission of Apple successfully using a native extension for adobe air by anders-tbl. The notification simply affects the badge number 1 and has a little message.

  What confuses me, is how to reset this count badge once that a user opens my request again or opens the application by clicking the notification? Badge County remains at 1, even if I delete the app and reinstall, it's still there! ??

  I know that I can reset the counter of the badge by sending a notification with badge = 0, but I can't do so by sending a blank APN with badge set to 0 you get only the device of chips on the first application load dynamically? Surely, you set this via a kind of AS3 function? I can't seem to find any help search google at all.

  If anyone knows or can push me in the right direction on how you are supposed to do this it would be great.

  Push notifications don't are currently not supported in the AIR. I mean there is no public API Actionscript to activate the Push Notifications in the AIR on any platform. There therefore no ActionScript API to reset the batch either number(for iOS). Since you are using native extensions, you will only have to rely on them to provide you with the number.

• HTML 5 Webworks Notifications

  How or rather, I was wondering if it would be possible to show a notification icon on the home screen of the blackberry, as you work with HTML 5. I know it can be done in the java runtime environment, but I'm not sure HTML 5. If anyone has any information on the question of whether this is possible, any information would be helpful. • WebWorks Notification Star stuck

  I use notifications HTML5 of documentation, like this:

  var n = new Notification("Hello", {body: "Bla"});
  

  When the user clicks on the notification in the Universal Inbox, notification of unread and everything changes but the app allows you to keep the notification star on the active Frame & icon!

  I tried this:

  n.close();
  

  But notice star just won't go away! Help!

  I upgraded to 10.1 of the overnight, the Notification Star disappears when you open the notification in the universal inbox.

  So I don't have to do anything in my code?
