  How issues disappear from the first forum?  Since I have a GTX 480 and I am interested in learning how a significant official support for reading of mercury's, pirate vs support, I had entered a question to solicit feedback from the owners of GTX 470 graphics cards.  A person with almost 12,000 jobs railed against my post, I answered, and you'll find is no longer my post.

  Don't remember not this post, but then things were pretty fast and furious in the forum of CS5.

  Now, there are two ways that the messages may disappear, or appear to do so:

  (1.) a moderator can block a thread or can turn things in a new thread. This just happened today, but the two sons of original are always there, just not separated.

  2.) adobe admin can delete a thread (do not think that a MOD can do - only lock, move or branch?), but would probably not, unless it is obviously spam. Even in this case, the thread probably would remain, with all URLS "[Edited by Host]" or similar.

  (3.) a moderator can move a thread, saying if it was posted on the forum of CS5 and it was really regarding CS4, or earlier. This can also happen, if a thread is best suited for the Hardware Forum (this would be my first guess in your case), or in the living room, if I managed to slide too far off-topic. See the Hardware Forum, because that's where I expect such a post to be.

  4.) when Adobe went with the new software, many old messages went to heaven bit that I highly doubt that anything like that happened here. We lost a few positions when there was a major update of Jive, but it has not been an update in ~ 8 mos.

  5.) there is often no messages, if they have access to the forum by e-mail instead of a browser. I guess with some flow, which could happen also, but not sure.

  PS - usually, when Jeff, Jerry.K, Curt, et al, move a message, they try to make the poster to know. Yet, with CS5.0.2 hitting and all traffic, perhaps they slid upward, ran completely out of time, or tried and failed in the notification. Most likely, if one of the MOD he stirred, they will jump in full and report making. They are great, though sometimes the details could be lost on a busy day, especially if they're trying to out of town to be with their families on a holiday (US) weekend to indulge in their "afterlife." Alternatively, they could be packing to avoid a hurricane - Earl.

  In my opinion, this is how it should work. You saw the notifications, they are considered as seen. New notifications will be LED flash again to know that there is more to check.

  I was just wondering, how do I get the answer in the forum.  Some time, for a simple question, I do not see anyone you meet.

  Is there any other platform we get set response or is there any support which can connect to our system suggest resolution?

  If it's really a simple question, then most people probably think that the poster can get the response from the documentation, or by searching the forum for previous answers.

  However, most of the time, it is not that the question is really simple. It is usually a question that asked simplistically, making it virtually impossible to answer (or often even understand). An effective response to a question, to get the right question in the right way.

  Describe the problem/need (not solutions attempts) in detail:

  • How to ask questions
  • Re: 2. How can I ask a question in the forums?

  Include as much information with the issue as possible, from information:

  • Version of the APEX
  • Version of DB, editing and host operating system
  • Architecture of Web server (listener EPG, SST or APEX), the server and host operating system platform
  • Browser (s) / version (s) used
  • Interface user/theme
  • Templates
  • Type of area (the special distinction as to if a "report" is a standard, an interactive report, or indeed a 'update report' (i.e. a tabular presentation))

  With APEX, we also had the chance to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproduce things is the best way to solve most of the questions, particularly those relating to the layout and Visual formatting. To get a detailed answer then it should be that the interrogator to take on an important part of the effort to reproduce the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for help with specific questions, that you can see first hand in a real environment of APEX.

  Your iPad is updated? You can not get rid of the update itself, but you could stop the badge of notification in settings > Notifications.

  Have you tried to install the update manually by downloading from the Download Center?

  Right-click on the file and select run as administrator

  Windows Live essentials updates do not install on the computer.

  its been more than 7 months, I have been using this forum. This forum is very useful since most of the requests is well handled by experts. However, a general trend, I observed that, among all applications, only those who are associated with OPA tool are answered. There's not a lot of help available through this forum for the customization of the OPA. OPA could be an excellent tool for the evaluation of the policies, but without customization tool can not be used commercially. For example, you can't hide a control until you are proposing to the screen, this I realized by using a java script to hide or show controls without a submit action. But if a control becomes mandatory once and if I hide it so the screen does not move. All this can be avoided if this forum provides assistance on customizing or at least, it must have a tutorial section where experts can post their experience with this customization. I myself have posted several queries about the customization to create new custom screen, etc. But none of them were answered. That's just my opinion. I would like to hear from others.

  Thanks for the comments. I can't comment on any official, but I can say that a large part of the people reading and replying to your messages are OPA developers who have not devoted time to devote to respond to queries. Questions about the tool, we are usually on the top of our head, but everything about personalization sometimes requires a bit of DIY to double-check something that we designed to be extensible support indeed specific customization that you asked, or should just knowing that not all OPA developers know off by heart. Sorry!

  We do the best we can, but we also do our normal work and maybe it's that the level of assistance you need is best served by hiring a Consultant to Oracle for a few hours, or it may be just that the people or the person who can answer your questions quickly and with authority is simply there for a week or two. We are still trying, I hope we can do better in the future.

  There are several ways to address this issue - see MOS Doc 828812.1 (how to stop old outgoing Notification Email Messages during Clone Workflow activity) for more details.

  Another solution is noted in MOS Doc 372933.1 (how to purge notifications by e-mail of the workflow queue so that the e-mail is not sent)

  This is a new purchase, download and installation of Acrobat Pro DC on a desktop PC Windows 7 x 64. I get no error during installation. I don't have Photoshop or other applications of CC. I tried all the suggestions in the previous thread on this issue (installation problem: IMSLIB not found.)  Services of Acrobat will not work.). I tried approaches include (full restart of Windows between any stage remove/install):

  (1) uninstalled old already installed versions of Acrobat 9 Pro and Acrobat Reader. A ran the CC Adobe cleaner in older versions (CS) and new (DC).

  (2) uninstalled all other Adobe software on the computer (for example: Flash)

  (2) remove all Adobe directories under common files and user AppData

  (3) reinstalled CC and Acrobat Pro DC from scratch (I have now done the uninstall/reinstall 3 times)

  (4) reinstalled Adobe Application Manager

  (5) Ran 'Repair Installation' inside DC Acrobat Pro

  (6) has the regsvr32 - you and i - to rejigger the registry options. It reported an error the file of the DLL.

  (7) IMSLib.DLL manually copied from Adobe installation to System32 and Windows SysWOW64 directories directories (I tried all 3 of the different versions in the underlying directories... "They have different file sizes).

  Nothing changes the symptom. Opening DC Pro or CD player gives the dll error and none of the expanded services.

  Please notify. I need to get this working soon or request a refund, and install a competing product. Files PDF is an essential part of my work.

  This closing with resolution. I changed my default directory install to C:/Program Files (x 86) and reinstalled. Everything worked correctly, no more error IMSLib.

  This should be worked by the team of system development at a given time. You can't assume an installation directory with no ability to customize or change the location. Many people use small OS disk partitions and need to install apps in other directories or drives.
