sensor printing prints DM4

I have pavilion dm4. I don't yet have windows 7 (64-bit), but my impression fingerprint sensor does not work. Most likely its drivers are missing. Please notify.

Install the validity sensor driver that is appropriate for your laptop operating system. The driver can be found in the driver software downloads section & to your laptop's web support portal.

Best regards

    Hello:

You must install the driver of fingerprints and the security software in order to register your fingerprint.

  • Fingerprint error Lenovo X 230

I've updated X 230 hard drive and installed OS from a backup, my impression was working fine after the upgrade on 3 months after that fingerprints just started giving E7210005 error (no enrolluser, can not be updated passport, can't find the sensor printing prints), but in device mananger it panel show that he is workng When I opened the biometrics in the control panel it shows that my device is not available. (I have also allowed port of fingerprints in the bios). I reinstalled windows, software update and finger print drivers (Lenovo and also tried the original manufacturing authentic tech). I tried to change the group policy setting and new user admin privillages wit has also created and activated also all service settings. but the problem error remains the same, it was a species of moth now looking for the solution but still nothing has developed. Wat I'm worried about is that Device Manager indicates that the PS device working properly

If you re-installed Windows and this problem happens again, I would say that it is quite possible that your fingerprint sensor has failed and must be replaced.  Even if the device looks OK in Device Manager, it really does not mean much.  What this means is that Windows can talk to the USB device that hosts the fingerprint sensor, but the fingerprint sensor itself could still be defective.

Some things that may help to confirm the hardware problem:

    1. shut off the system, makes fingerprint green LEDS flash slowly?  If so this means that the sensor contains templates of fingerprints allows so try to erase.

    2. turn on the system and press F1 to access the BIOS Setup

    3. go to the Security menu and select fingerprint, and then clear the fingerprint sensor.  You should see a message on the success or failure.  Failure means certainly HW problem.

    4. If you see a message on the success by disabling the sensor of fingerprint from the BIOS, and then shut down the system again.  The Green LED must not Flash more because you have disabled the sensor in the BIOS.  If the Green LED continues to blink, then it means HW problem because the fingerprints were not really erased.

So try the steps above to try to confirm the HW problem, or simply call the service in your country and request assistance.

  • Finger print reader does not work after upgrade to Windows 8 Pro - DM4 2055BR

I updated my previous Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro Edition and the Finger Print Reader no longer works. Validity software driver is already installed more simple pass, but when I run the Easy Pass it pops up the message "the drive is not connected, connect the drive.

I noticed one lot of other posts related to the same issue, but I don't know if the model of my laptop does not support the new version of the operating system.

I appreciate if someone could help me with this problem.

    Dulao35,

    Welcome to the HP Forum!

When start you / see: Easy going on?

You may be running HP SimplePass Version 8.0.0.57 or some other SimplePass 8.x?

    ======================================================================================

You can run HP SimplePass Version 6.x later on your computer.  You may also be able to get SimplePass version 8.x if you want to stay with this version to work.  It's a personal choice, really - either version should be able to work on Windows 8 Pro.

Note that the version 8.x SimplePass seems to dislike everyone, but the Internet Explorer browser. This is a personal observation and NOT what can known by other users.  If you use IE, then the point is moot.

You can probably keep your existing driver of the fingerprint (Validity Sensor in the Device Manager) as long you run the version compatible with Windows 8, illustrated to the webpage of your computer driver:

HP Pavilion dm4-2055br Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers

See below for a method that you can use to upgrade HP SimplePass:

Simple Instructions for upgrade HP SimplePass

The bits on SimplePass version 8.x are towards the bottom of the file.

  • Tecra M5: print fingerprint sensor is not working properly because a drink was spilled on the keyboard

My finger print sensor does not work correctly as a drink was spilled on the keyboard. While booting, it automatically "fails" 5 times in a row (without any attempt to slide a finger), and then by default at the entrance of password to boot the disk hard machine.

This is not a problem and all I want to do is disable the finger print sensor, but cannot work out how to do this. I tried to uninstall the driver, who seemed done without any problem, but during the reboot, the sensor still seems active, and always goes through the same process.

Everything else works fine and it's just a minor niggle, but I would like to delete the gene of it me beep 5 times then it does its thing.

Can someone tell me how I turn it off completely?

    Thank you.

Did you remove the fingerprint software? If Yes check if some unknown device is listed in Device Manager. Please post the result.

Maybe you can try to disable this unknown device and it will not be recognized as new hardware every time when you start the laptop.

  • Sensor of fingerprint and Portege R200 prints. How does it work?

    Hello forum,.

I bought a Portege R200 in 2006. Works fine for me, but I could never try the sensor of fingerprint fingerprints-because I couldn't start at the same time and I didn't have enough time to find the problem ;(

Could someone tell me here, what I have to do, to use it?

    I tried on:

    1. I click the omnipass key symbol in the systray and select 'add a new user '.
    2. I completed the form folling "windows account information.
    3. I selected "authentic prints digital driver."

-> Error: selected item cannot be found

I have no idea. What is the problem and how can I solve this problem?

    Best regards

  • OfficeJet 6500 E709n Wireless - sensor defective yellow cartridge - how to print black only?

Product is 5 years.  Error message indicates that the yellow cartridge seems to be missing.  Cannot be resolved after several cleanings of sensor and the sensor window. Powered / disable several times including corkscrew. A tried a new yellow cartridge (not a recharged one used).  Shot all the cartridges, cleaned, open/closed status of the printer, lifted/lowered the gray lever of the print head.  Could not find a way to print in black only if possible.  The cost of a new printer is roughly the same Technical Support help (out of warranty).  Any thoughts on how to fix (other than buying a new printer - unless it's time)?  Thank you in advance.

Figured it out.  I missed some parts of the print head cleaning.  Solved.

  • Question of the sensor 8600 Pro printer ink all-in-one

I have a message on my printer that says "failure printer...". "I just replaced the black print cartridge (951XL) and have tried several times, turn off the machine, but to no avail. I uninstalled the software, reinstalled the software and drivers, but nothing works. The printer does not recognize the new cartridge ($37), nor is it anything but saying default printer. I am at a loss. Is this a sensor problem? I tried to clean the print head and carefully set it up. No dice.

    1. If you put the cartridge empty old back, he recognizes it? 2. say the label on the cartridge door? On mine, it says CMY 951XL, black 950XL, so for black, it will take 950XL.

  • Cannot print the portable dm4 Web page

When you attempt to print from a Web page, everything that comes out is a page with "Page 1 of 1" at the top and in this down:

I think that this driver since the dv7t-7000 will work as well as the security software to save your fingerprint.

  • my laptop computer vpcsb16fg prints print sensor does not work

I have sony vaio vpcsb16fg notebook and his impression fingerprint sensor does not work as I had sony remote India too but I was told that my laptop is having hardware problem, help and how this problem will be corrected.

    Hello Verhoeven.

Try following the steps below and check if it works:

Download and install the driver of fingerprints from here: http://download.sony-asia.com.edgesuite.net/vaio/downloads/Win7Original/20111Q/VPCSB/AUDFPD-00243103...

Then, reinstall software TrueSuite software VAIO Care following all the steps here: http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C1017143

Then, try to register a fingerprint and check if it works.

Then, perform a restore of the system to an earlier time when it worked very well: http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C1003813

Then, perform a full system recovery to restore your computer to factory settings. Restart the computer, keep pressing the F10 key continuously, press on enter key at the start of editing option, Recovery Wizard, select start and click on ignore VAIO Care rescue (if you do not want to back up data) to start the system recovery process.

Note: It is necessary to backup all data before performing the system recovery as it erases everything from the computer.

If the problem persists, contact Sony support team in your country to start the service: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/

Note: If my post answered your question, please mark it as an "accepted Solution".

  • The sensor validity finger print reader and windows 7

I recently installed windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit on my dv4t-1300cto. Everything is great except for the fingerprint reader is not working. It appears in the device as manager being installed correctly, but windows and digital persona say its not connected. I tried a few reinstall software and drivers, but nothing helped. And when I look for software, the results are quite rare. HP tries to convince me that I'm using a beta version software and support will appear soon, but is not a copy of version beta what whatsoever. Everybody do what ive made and it sorted?

    the drive model is Vfs201.

    Thank you all.
