Number of characters to display in Internet Explorer problem

Hi all

I put in place a character counter in the ADF using Javascript (this referencing http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/10-char-input-counter-169133.pdf).

The problem that I am facing is: when my character counter becomes 0 (can no longer enter any text, the entry field maxlimit is reached) then on IE browsers, it does not show the character '0'. It displays a white. On Firefox and Chrome, however, the user interface gets displayed as expected i.e. 0 characters left.

I would like to know how to solve this problem on IE. Tested with versions of IE 8, 9. JDev version is 11.1.1.7.0.

Thank you

ANU.

Hi Frank,.

Fixed using the code below:

If (counter_val! = 0) {}

counter.setValue (counter_val);

} else {}

var string.fromCharCode(0)) = count0 (48);

counter.setValue (count0);

}

Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestion.

ANU.

  • I can't do the web pages of my drive to display in Internet Explorer in Windows Server 2008 32-bit

    I saved web pages on my local drive, but I can't seem to display in Internet Explorer in Windows Server 2008 32-bit by entering the URL in the address bar, even if they appear when I click on the file in Windows Explorer. • I noticed that some jpeg (RGB) images are not display in Internet Explorer 11, but they present very well in other browsers. In addition, the images used to display properly in Internet Explorer. No idea what is happening?

    I noticed that some jpeg images are not display in Internet Explorer 11, but they display well in other browsers. I checked they are RGB images, because apparently some people accidentally use the CMYK format. IE is configured to display the images - I checked that also. The images used to display properly in Internet Explorer, and the images have not been changed on the server. The content was created using Dreamweaver CS6 and Photoshop CS6.

    I tried to view the page on other computers running IE, and they also have this problem.

    Any idea of what could be causing this to happen?

    Thanks for looking in this people!

    I discovered that prevented a few images to display in IE 11, while other images show. The culprit was Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer. Once, I disabled the software Adblock Plus missing images showed once again. Interestingly, I discovered that I could cause the same effect in other browsers using Adblock software. There is either a bug in the software of Adblock, or fluid network of Adobe system, which caused some legitimate images should be blocked. Whatever it is, they do not play well together right now. All images are stored on the same domain, and none of them related off site, so it's pretty weird that they have been blocked...

    Anyway, the mystery is solved! I know people like to see a conclusion to these things as much as possible, so I'll mark this as resolved issue.

  • Div Flash works fine in FF, wont even display in Internet Explorer

    http://www.empireserve.com/davidscreations/

    In all versions of FF I it works very well. In all versions of IE on several machines it works at all. Black page with menu/header. The border around the container is not even extend, as IE can't even see this div. I wrote this by hand at first, but even putting it in code view DW shows all open etc. tag. W3C validator shows 12 errors, ALL of them in the script generated by flash CS3 code. When I exported the swf/html to flash, I just copy paste the code in the div tag and cleaned up the code useless. Where am I wrong? All my css looks good (very little and it displays in Internet Explorer, what no SWF movie) and I can't for the life of figure me it out... Thanks for any help

    Hello

    A large part of the coding required for IE (and FF/Safari) is false and does not have all the time in FF.

    May I suggest that you export your fla file into a swf, (should be created anyway, if you have the flash generated html) and insert the swf file in a dreamweaver page using Insert - option - swf media in the main menu.

  • Internet Explorer problems in the new site and product views

    Well, I'm stumped.

    We just launched a redesign of a site (www.geniefilters.com) and I am getting a strange vision of our product catalogue displaying in Internet Explorer on a PC. (The site was created on a Mac, with a site of BC model).

    Products display in 3 columns, but in IE, only the left column shows... and no, the elements are not forced down in a single line. Show only products that would normally appear in this column. Article 1, point 4, 7, 10, etc...

    The catalog was created in module purchases in Colombia-British models and seems very well seen on a Mac. It works as well on a PC, using Google Chrome or Firefox.

    I couldn't someone else to watch the pages and let me know if they identify a problem? Or is there a problem with IE, that I'm not aware?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chuck

    Hello

    The use of the debugger in IE9, stop table.productTable td {width: 100 %} in ModuleStyleSheets.css makes appear them - IE is not allowing you to have 3 columns of the table at width of 100%.}

    Hope that helps.

  • Display header in Internet Explorer problem

    Hello

    I've been posting a lot lately that I learn Dreamweaver. in any case, I use a default template with a header to the width = 100% height = auto. I also have a banner (jpg file) to the div. The header displays perfectly in Firefox 3 and Safari 4 and 5, but Internet Explorer 7 and 8 times cut the header. I tried setting dimensions and simply can't do appear. You can see the page and check the code at parodylyrics.net. Thank you in advance, I would get the compatibility with all major browsers soon.

    Ryan

    From your previous post, I believe you are on a mission to scale of the header to the different browser resolutions.

    You can make your divs with % and auto adjust, but do not try it with your images.

    Cross browser, you have to put the dimensions of the image in the image for IE tag behave:

  • I made a website... do not display in Internet Explorer

    I was hoping that someone can help me because I'm still learning how to use dreamweaver. Basically, I made a website and tested on different browsers, it works fine on Firefox and Safari, but when I open it on Internet Explorer some of the images are not displayed.

    Is there a way I can fix this problem? I used css so I was wondering if it could be something in the code?

    No need. We have access to all the files through the link you provided.

    Missing images in IE are all attributes of CMYK image. Convert to RGB in Photoshop (or whatever image editor you use).

    You will also need to optimize. The page weighs about 3 MB. Should be from 100 to 200 KB or more.

    for example images of icons should be around 10 KB. The icons have not been resized in Photoshop for x 40px 40px. They have simply been reduced to DW, for example, iconowl.jpg is 243px x 243 px scaled down to 40 x 40. Resize the actual images in your image editor, then insert them into DW without resizing using the Properties Inspector. The page will then load faster. Always place pictures in DW to finished size. Do not rely on DW (or browsers) to resize them for you. Do not change the dimensions of the image in the property inspector.

    Here is a screenshot in the toolbar Firefox Web Developer showing the sizes of the files on the page. See what iconowl.jpg and iconalice.jpg size are compared with the iconbaked.jpg and iconwhale.jpg.

  • Panel covers important 'display' button; Internet Explorer is fine with that.

    My online banking page has a window where I can choose to see the operations completed 2,4,6 or more weeks ago. Near the window MUST be a 'VIEW' button which I click to get the desired operations. For a few months now, there is a Self Service Panel that covers the "VIEW" button I can't access the desired information. Before that, it worked fine. Using my Internet Explorer browser, I can access the page and the 'VIEW' button is easily accessible. There is something wrong with my banking page.

    You can use an extension to set a page zoom and the size of the default font on the web pages.

  • After WSUS downloaded and installed the most recent Windows XP and 7 updates, we encountered the following error: page of the Intranet Web displayed in Internet Explorer (8 or 9) is on SERVER_A

    After that WSUS installed and downloaded the most recent Windows XP and 7 updates, we encountered the following error:

    The Web page of the Intranet being viewed in Internet Explorer (8 or 9) is on SERVER_A
    and the page contains a link to a file on a network share on the Serveur_B, making the href path something like
    'http://SERVER_B/myShare/myDocument.doc '.
    ... then it does NOT work.

    If the Intranet Web page being read in IE (8 or 9) SERVER_A on
    and the page contains a link to a file on SERVER_A, making the href path something like
    'http://IP..ADDRESS/myDocument.doc '.
    ... then it does not work.

    Before these updates, the system worked flawlessly.  We try to identify the update that caused this problem, but 28 of them fell on a Tuesday.  (22/11/2011).   These questions are the same with IE8 or IE9 and WindowsXP and Windows7.

    Has anyone seen this problem?

  • WVC200 camera and display of internet explore

    I am new to this, please be patient.

    I have spent the day to set up the camera and have it work on my network, office and portable wireless.  My problem is that no one else can access the camera via the internet Explorer using the IP: 192.168.1.4.  I think I passed the correct port: port 1024.  In settings, Options, I can't tick Enable Alternate Port.  If I do apply, then I can't access the software on my port: 192.168.1.4 Internet explorer but I can't use firefox: 192.168.1.4:1024 but, then, of course, I can't see the video, but could change the settings back.

    As osgood_ said, the conflicting CSS rules. In addition, IE usually has a problem with the treatment of the float attribute, so if you can not fix this way, you might consider working with margins and padding and relative implementation of your DIVs.

  • Preview in Internet Explorer problem

    If I was building a Web site using CS6. So far so good, but problems arise when I preview the.

    The site is exactly what I wanted to Dremaweaver Live View and Google Chrome. But in Internet Explorer, there are a few problems;

    (these problems do not occur at the same time, they occur in a different version of Windows, but using IE)

    1 the bottom of the Web page is not fully displayed. There should be a < div > footer that can be seen in Live View and Chrome, but not in Internet Explorer. It seems that you print something and it just stopped at halfway.

    2 in my Web page, there is a flight path images that light up when your mouse moves over them. A border appears around the image in Internet Explorer, but not in Live View or Chrome.

    Any help is very appreciated. Thank you

    It turns out that my parents had set the text size in Internet Explorer at the 'bigger' as a result of the footer

    cannot be seen. Once changed back to 'Medium' footer
    is visible again. So the first case is resolved, but still thank you for the advice given.

    Just be aware that others besides your parents will also want to use the largest value. If your layout of the site stops when this setting is selected, then you might want to reconsider the layout. Increase the size of the text by a tick in Safari on my Mac causes the footer to drop below the lower part of the screen without a scroll bar.

    I suspect you can do two things to eliminate this problem:

    1. remove the overflow: hidden style (why do you use that?)

    2 remote control style max-height (why do you use that?)

    Two of these styles are applied to the div #container.
