Number of the video card on Qosmio G30

About 2 years ago, I bought my Qosmio of Germany with 3,500 Euro and first problem occur about 1 month when I start playing games.
Laptop is equipped with the nv 7600 gt video card mobile.

Problem with vertical lines on the start screen. It's a hardware problem, if you get that do not try to Flash your bios or something as there is also no work after these lines, the next step is u get b.s.o.d. (blue screen) in the future the Qosmio doesn't start until you disable the vga driver of the map (7600 gt) in windows (safe mode) with standard graphics card and you can work without 7600 gt mobile as long as you do not have to play games or to run 3D programs.

Fortunately, I was in warranty and ASP has changed the whole motherboard (it is the only solution because the video card and the motherboard), it is very expensive if you are not in the warranty. (About $700-900)

After I got my Qosmio warranty return, about 5 days ago (today it is April 30, 2008) I started to play a simulator flight and after 10-15 minutes, I get blue screen again. My laptop has rebooted automatically and still same vertical lines and scratches on my screen and same bsod (blue screen).

It's ok for me because I still have 2 months warranty, but my question is what should I do if this occurs after my warranty on.

As far as I know each new replaced part is covered by warranty for about 6 months.

If something will go wrong during the first 6 months, then you could ask ASP for replacement which would be covered by the guarantee.

    Hello

Usually it of not possible to change the GPU on laptop computers.
The laptop is configured with this graphics card and after replacement, it possible s that the BIOS will not accept this card and laptop does not start.

But why you want to replace it?

It seems that there s a new notebook with HD-DVD player and a great graphics card.
The replacement does not really increase the graphics performance!
You know, replacement is very risky, and if you open the notebook, you will lose the warranty!
    It is not worth!

  • How to upgrade Windows XP to the video card of 2010

I am told that I need the latest version of the drivers for video card 2010 game Gamehouse. How can I do this

First you must determine which video card you have.

If you have a computer 'brand', especially a laptop, it is best to get the drivers from the web site of the manufacturer of the computer.  Depending on the brand, you may need to enter a 'serial number (Dell) or type/model designation (Lenovo) and you should be able to get the video driver for your specific computer.

If not, start the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK) and click on the + sign to the left "display cards.  That should tell you the make and model of your video card.  You can then go to the web site of the manufacturer of the video card and download the current driver.  DO NOT select "Update driver" in Device Manager.  This will cause usually your download one driver Windows Update, which generally is NOT the current driver.

There should be guidance on any web site, you get the driver from on how to install it.

  • I spilled liquid on my G6 Pavilion and the video card no longer works

HP Pavilion G6 series number 868R4-FV6RQ-BHRP9-BJCP9-BY2TY

A cat knocked over a cup spill liquid on the computer. He connected, blue return projected and restarted itself. Aside from the message that it is a Code of 43 for the video card driver, things seem to work.

    What can we do?

Turn it off! Unplug the power cord!  Remove the battery!

Partially disassemble the laptop and let it dry for 5 days in an air-conditioned room, back to gether and hope that there is no permanent damage.

  • Satellite Pro M30 - can I change the video card?

Is it possible to upgrade the video card for M30?

Also noticed lately that the cooler starts roaring Java =. =' can it be connected to my (now defunct) video card or I just better clean the cooler?

    Hello!

The video card can't be updated because it s soldered onto the motherboard.
Here is a document Toshiba upgrade the CPU and the GPU:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

But why you want to upgrade the video card?
However, you clean your laptop if you use the jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.

    Good bye

  • How much would it cost to replace the video card on an imac 27 "late 2009

I have an imac late 2009 27 "with an ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB video card. He made rare as small squares on the screen and stuff of course freeze everything. Sometimes when it starts, vertical lines if poster and nothing else can do. I have to restart the computer several times. I know that is the video card, how much would it cost to replace it in the apple store?

The computer is too old for Apple to watch. you will need to find a place to third party to look at.

  • Satellite T130 - how to allocate memory on the video card?

    Hi all

You just bought a T130 has 4 GB of ram.
I would attribute this to the video card.

How can I do this, I do not see it in the BIOS, normally there is a setting to change AGP aperture but I can't.

Does anyone know how to do this?

    Hello

This setting is controlled by the driver of the software or the hardware itself and it cannot be changed. However, you really don't need to worry; If more RAM is required (almost always because of the game) it it will get to the need.

  • Can I change the video card in the Portege M700?

I recently received a Portege M700 as a gift and I didn't really like the Intel supplied with the laptop video card. If I want to change the video card to a more adapted to more modern games. Something like an nVidia or ATi video card. I don't think it's possible, but if this is the case, could someone answer?

    Thanks in advance.

    > On the other hand, it is possible to change the whole motherboard, and if it is possible, it would cost a lot?
The replacement of the motherboard is possible, but it can be replaced with the same card published by Toshiba for this series of laptop.
In addition, the replacement of the motherboard is a costly business because the mobo is one of the expensive laptop parts
