  a few reasons why a query is not cached in obiee are:

  1. None of the tables involved in should be deleted from the query caching. Check the options for this option of caching of the physical layer.
  2. cached queries must follow all the presets in nqsconfig.ini. For example, size of cache entry, etc...
  3. the request must not contain functions such as current_timestamp, current_date, random functions, etc...

• OBIEE buffer or Cache problem?

  I was recently working in OBIEE as administrator and access modifiers to allow a certain group access to a specific area.

  After going through settings-> Administration-> manage privilege I added the group to the area in question.

  It took almost 1 hour to make the changes take effect.

  Anyone know why that would happen?

  What is a buffer or a cache problem?

  During development, we cannot afford to have this down in the test of time.

  It seems to happen very rarely, but it would be good to pin point what exactly is the root cause.

  I think that the best thing for you to do is to hit CTRL + SHIFT + P before go you to your bank's website. This will temporarily allow the private browsing mode. Private browsing means that no file held in the cache until you close and restart Firefox.

  In Adobe Bridge, the Cache is still a problem and a huge memory hog. I asked for a good Manager to Cache more than 3 years while it was necessary to CS4.

  1. currently I call CacheFactory::getCache (cache_name); and save this handle, I then use the handle for the duration of the application for gets later. I use a range of different caches and I keep all handles 'alive '. By doing this, I found only the cost of the socket connection once.
  
  2. given situation 1. What happens if multiple threads call 'get' on a mixer? Are queue operation? It is thread-safe?

  Hi rich,

  The CacheFactory puts cached internally NamedCache returned references, multiple calls to CacheFactory::getCache ("name") will return the same reference every time. When the application is done using the cache it can ask the factory to drop the reference and invalidating local stubs by calling CacheFactory::releaseCache, passing in the reference cache. The NamedCaches returned are also thread-safe, so that you can share them safely between threads in your application. Finally, given that the factory will return the same reference every time, you have not really a way to distribute the different references in different threads, if you really wanted to do that you would need to instantiate DefaultConfigurableCacheFactories separate for each thread, rather then making them share the CacheFactory singleton. Note these feature exist in the same form in our Java and .NET clients.

  How to clear the cache in OBI every night? as the ETL, we run every night.
  
  Testers are still getting data in the cache that is rebuilt 2 days back.
  Now I have disabled the cache in the file of configuration at the moment, so testers will raise no new defects from cached data.
  
  Configuration config files and production test are the same. But the production does not have this problem. Am I missing something? I am new to the administration team, so please help.

  Use nqcmd for the same thing.

  You must create Informatica workflow Task and use the below command

  nqcmd d 'AnalyticsWeb' u - Administrator Pei pwd s 'D:\Informatica\server\infa_shared\SrcFiles\BIPurgeCache.txt '.

  BIPurgeCache.txt content as file below and save it in the server\infa_shared\SrcFiles folder of Informatica
  Call SAPurgeAllCache();

  I use 11.1.1.5 and that you set the logging of the repository at the log level 2. and also have the user at level 2 logging as well. I know it is a session called LOGLEVEL variable and I also tried to modify. Despite this, I am still unable to see Physics SQL generated at the BI under Administration-> manage Sessions. No idea what I may be missing?

  We have an obligation to our deployment for a real-time report close. Now, I want to OBIEE/clear one clear cache bi_server for each load etl during the day.

  I have an idea to use a dynamic variable repository to read update a column in a table filled by ODI etl load.

  My question is how and where then do I use/call a dynamic variable to order the OBIEE on clear/empty the cache.

  Maybe one of the JeromeFr to help with the details on. Basically, you send a command (for example, SAPurgeAllCache, but there are others that target of the tables or queries) on the BI server, which can be connected to via its JDBC driver, which I suppose so can be called as part of a routine of ODI.

  cache is not compensation in obiee configuration. I did the following things
  
  1. open the RPD in online mode and purged all the cache entries
  
  2. open obiee answers (Journal of session) .clicked on "closes all cursors", the cache entries are removed.but if I open again the session log "same the cache entries are still there".

  Open NQSConfig.INI file (OracleBI\server\Config) and article cahce. Activate Cahce No.It turns off hidden completely.
  Once again purge cahce of RPD and remove the sliders of the dashboard.
