  I see I can create shortcuts to align objects to the page, margin, and the spread, but I can't specify to what I want to distribute an item! I went through the list in the Shortcuts dialog keyboard again and again, I don't couldn't find it! Why is this omitted? Is this an oversight?

  Well, in general is not a good idea for the scripts modify the user's selection. Unless the purpose of the script is that the user sees that other things are selected.

  You can get an array of all the objects on the current dotted with app.activeWindow.activeSpread.allPageItems but that will include the internal elements of groups. If you want the elements of higher level (including groups), use () .getElements () app.activeWindow.activeSpread.pageItems.everyItem.

  So to do what you asked, you can select all with:

  app.select(app.activeWindow.activeSpread.pageItems.everyItem().getElements());
  

  But if your goal is to distribute to each of them, use:

  app.activeDocument.distribute(
    app.activeWindow.activeSpread.pageItems.everyItem().getElements(),
    DistributeOptions.HORIZONTAL_CENTERS,
    AlignDistributeBounds.SPREAD_BOUNDS);

  I'm working on the conversion of the PSD INDD files. I'm following the dimensions and the presets of a few examples, I was sent. The only problem is that I'm a bit confused. The way they would be adjusted upward find the picture fills the page and get out the Guide/column margin Guide. I'm new to InDesign, so I just wanted to know how good is it?   Margin guides are a few references for your convenience. They don't cut anything.

  If it's going to print, however, you need "bleed" the edge of the page background all around and include a bleed allowance (generally 1/8 in.) in the PDF file.

  I tried searching the forum for defined automatically custom page margins, but I see none, so I would like to know if it is possible to do...

  The reason why I want to do is because my program call for PDFCreator printer print automatically, and if it is not aligned correctly, it won't be pretty.

  I use 1 program on 4 different offices and they all seem to have different alignment when it comes to print...

  Maybe it's more PDFCreator problem, but if I can get LAbview to set margins automatically, I can take care of this problem.

  I have a bunch of page PDFs with an ornament on the page. I need to crop all pages the same distance of the ornament. The problem is that the ornament is never in the same horizontal position.

  I have the script where the operator cultures page tight for ornament and I use getPageBox and setPageBox to develop harvest evenly around the entire page, but I would like to completely automate it.

  Basically I need a way to know where the ornament is on the page. Is it possible in Java (I couldn't find one) to browse objects on the page to check their size?

  Gobs much gratitude to MD_quake for posting back here when he or she finds his answer.

  It turns out that the boxes have BEEN changing, but the & #* $%! dialogue of cultures was not showing the changes on all the boxes! Save the file and open it again displays the boxes correctly. By mail to the MD, you can also use a preflight.

  I'm done with this JavaScript but could also change the media box to clean things up a bit.

  I've been designing my first page ever and I'm having a problem with page margin.

  Mainly the margin of page is different on my pages, but in Page Properties I use the same settings for each of the sites.

  On my main page and the page I use these settings:

  height: 100px

  margin-bottom: 0px

  margin left auto

  right margin auto

  margin-top 0px

  Max-width 960px

  padding 0px

  width 960px

  If you go to my page www.itconnect.co.nz you can see a difference in low-margin between main and on the page.

  I don't see that a problem in Internet Explorer, which I think is caused by the scroll bar appearing on the longer pages and endangered on shorter pages.

  I added a menu on the master page by using the Composition called new featured widget and it remains behind other objects on normal pages.

  How can I fix it? Here are pictures of the menu when it is closed and when it is open.

  

  

  Make a new layer, which is by default placed above all other layers.

  Go to the master page, and then drag the menu this layer.

• Persistence of objects on multiple Pages

  After using the reflow for a little while for prototyping, I found myself really wanting the ability to create various objects (navigation elements, feet etc.) that persist over several pages. When a reflow is small and is from the outset, duplicate a page and updates on several pages to make navigation is consistent etc is not a big deal. But as the project progresses, keep the changes once an object (say, the main NAV, regardless of what page it is on) and have these changes repeated in all instances of this object on each page would be extremely useful.

  Is it possible to create objects that persist on several pages? OmniGraffle Pro does a great job with that.

  There is not currently a way to do this in the reflow. You will soon be able to copy items from one page to another, but we do not have a way to share items on several pages.

  I think you can do this in Indesign with a block of anchor text.

• Keeping a DataModel object through several pages of QML

  I have a simple question, but so far I have not been able to grasp the exact application. So I have a DataModel.cpp object that loads data from a JSON data file.

  On my page main qml, the data model object is charged by attaching it with the following code...

  On the Add QML page, I add a new object to the object MyDataModel.

  > ViewItems.qml

  On the points of view, a ListView is bound to the MyDataModel object.

  > EditItem.qml

  The edit page is called, and the user to apply changes to the MyDataModel

• Keep an object in place. Or no movable object in the page footer.

  I built a custom "shadow" in illustrator to make my site more attractive Muse.

  When I give in my page paster, it affects both the header and footer area.

  The object in question is the Shadow on the left. It is a transparent png file exported from illustrator.

  Here, everything seems fine, but because it touches in the footer area, it is the case in all other pages based on that master:

  Dear kivikall, take a thorough plan look there. There is a menu of security and underneath there is a security system. It contains virtualization technology (VTx / VTd) option. That's what you're looking for!
