• TestStand 2014 freezes when I select a path from the project during an Action LabVIEW using LabVIEW TERM 2014

  In the company that I work, we have a solution that uses the two TestStand 2014 and 2014 LabVIEW.

  We work with the development version of the two, but we are deploying our automation using TestStand and Labview Runtime engine 2014.

  We tried to deploy a new station, but during the analysis of our project, the User Interface for Teststand (version Deploy) froze.

  I tried several things and decided to install a full version of TestStand 2014 and 2014 LabVIEW to try to debug the problem.

  What I've discovered is that when I create a new sequence in TestStand, add a VI Action and try to load the path to the project, the TestStand freezes if I use the adapter Runtime.

  If I go to the LabVIEW development system adapter in TestStand, it works. However, I need to use the Runtime since it's free while the LabVIEW Development is paid.

  We already use our solution in other places, and this is the first time, it never happened. The only post I found online that had something to do with this issue is this.

  If I remove the path of the project and call the VI himself, as "dvu", said in his second post, it works.

  However, it is something not good to do in our automation together, since we have several calls from LabVIEW.

  Any ideas on how to do this only works with 2014 DURATION and 2014 Runtime LabVIEW TestStand?

  Thanks a lot Stop_Luke_and_Listen, but the guy where the deployment was made called the support NEITHER and they couldn't find the problem, so they formatted the PC.

  Now it works very well, so I won't be able to generate the report. It would have been a great idea.

• How to view the objects hidden in the Design view?

  I'm working on a dynamic form that requires contextual ubforms (show or hide based on entry). No problems to make this work. However my subforms must be defined 'hidden' which also removes them from the Design view.

  y at - it a way to show the hidden objects in Design view without changing the setting of their presence?

  I know that Dreamweaver is through symbols "invisible object. I wonder if LiveCycle allows the same visual clue and how to activate it.

  You might be able to achieve what you want by setting the property of presence 'hidden' in the initialize event code? In this way at design time, nothing is hidden.

  Is it possible to change the size of the project form after it has already been registered? I have a presentation that was recorded at 670 px of height and I'd really like to shrink down to 800 X 600 so it can fit in a browser without scrolling window.

  Try clicking project > resize.

  Note that this will likely affect the overall quality of the project. I would like to start by clicking file > save as to keep a blank copy of the original.

• Cannot open the project after the reinstallation of RoboHelp 8

  My computer crashed and I had to Reinstall RoboHelp 8.  When I tried to open my project, I got a message saying that the project is from a newer version of the program.  This project is no longer compatible with this version.  Then I did the 8.x updates and got the same results.

  What do you think the problem is here?  My RoboHelp is a upgraded version, and I do not know what version it was modernized at the origin of.  Everything worked perfectly before that.

  In addition, my computer installed Windows 7 on my computer and I already had Vista - what part of the problem?

  I need to get this project open and run as soon as possible.

• Serving images while making the project After Effects with Media Encoder?

  I went with SPECIFIC anti-aliasing on vector files.

  This causes rendering to crash if I do not purge every image.

  As a process dynamic link, rendering SOUL does not allow for such deceptions. Eitehr it works or it's not. Only AErender and AE itself obey this setting particular pref. If you are simply interested in the rendering of BG, consider buying the BGRender of AEScripts script.

• Can I combine three variables by using the action of the Expression in advanced Actions?

  I have an assessment (contains 9 questions) in my project that contains 3 lessons. Each question relates to a specific lesson. I want to break the score on lessons on my Quiz slide, instead of display the total score for all of the evaluation of the results, so that the learner knows what activities require additional study. I created a variable to contain the points marked on each question and assigning points to this variable using "QuizInfoLastPointsScored".

  Lesson 2: questions 4 to 6

  I thought you don't need three totals: a global and two partial totals. The latter will be calculated not the subtotals. There is no need to first put the score in a variable separate at all. I used only the variables for totals of the three. You will calculate only the total world, and who could be with a single statement, no need for two to all:

• A few Questions about the advanced Actions window

  I have a few questions about the progress of the Actions (using the version of track CP7)

  1. What is the function of the action to "continue?"   Out of the peak action and advance the playback cursor?

  2. What does mean this comment "Nested calls to action advanced is a nice improvement."? Is the advanced decision at the top of a page of action tabs?

  3. What is the function of the option "custom" in the IF statement - "preform action if - custom", it doesn't seem to do anything for me?

  4. where can I get information about the timeline / playhead interaction with advanced actions, i.e. where the playhead is going again at the beginning of the slide. slide custom question - display button, e.g. verification of responses, comments - when all the objects are at the beginning of the timeline. I'm looking more for the read head of infromation functionality rather than how to implement this type of question.

  Continue: If an advanced standard action is triggered by a button, this will not trigger the playback head. If you want out, you can use continues. Continue can also be a choice in a conditional action, when one orders branching has nothing to special, but in advance. Continuous is also the "dummy" statement/command (this is the official name of a line in the dialog box advanced actions) If a statement has become unusable due to some reasons, it will be replaced by continue

  There is no nested call stocks advanced possible right now, one of my many feature requests. It would be sort of a subroutine that you can use over and over again, instead of having to create each time when necessary.

  A decision is one of the conditions to be an advanced conditional action. They allow to create more complex actions, as a loop or arrays are not possible. All decisions are executed in sequence and always.

  Custom: is a combination of or but it is rather limited, because you cannot use parentheses.

• The sound of a software instrument changes after you save the project.

  The name of the Instrument is AMPLIFIED LEAD SYNTH, it's in the library of logic. I saved the project after importing MIDI at this track. When I reopen it the project, the sound of the instrument changed a little. I can fix it if I move the region from noon to a new track (same instrument) or change the instrument from the track to something and then change back to Amped Lead synth. I really have no idea what's going on here. Can someone help me please. Thank you very much.

  Something in the midi track you imported, change / changes the sound... Some perhaps Midi CCs?

• use javascript advanced action to advance to the next page of parent window?

  I'm looking using Captivate quiz in some provided training based on html. I have this type of structure:

  Page html with a conceptual content.

  Html b. with a conceptual content page

  Page c. html which displays a Captivate quiz question

  Html d. with a conceptual content page

  When the user finishes the test successfully at point C, I want to automatically advance to the next page of the html (D).  I'm assuming I could use a tip action in the Quiz properties. In other words, 'the success = Execute advanced Actions', then to run our javascript gotoNextPage() function.  But it does not work. Is there a trick to do something like that?

  If you test this output on your computer, try to upload to a web server and test from there.

  I find a lot of actions executed in Captivate JavaScript works only when the content is served from a Web server.

• plugin for 3D glasses crashes After Effects if trying to save the project

  I'm new to this forum so be easy on me .

  I am currently working on stereoscopic (3D) chart using after effects cs3 and discovered the great glasses 3d plugin that allows me to get a glimpse of my compensation on my hyundai 3-d TV. My problem is that whenever I have apply the 3d glasses effect I can listen to extracts it is fine until I click on save. When I try to save the project after you apply the 3d glasses effect to my left and right eye in my MASTER comp, just After Effects comps quit unexpectedly and does not save the project. When I try to open the project he said then that there was missing data in the file.

  anyone here have experience working with stereoscopic files in after effects using the plugin Adobe 3d glasses?

  my version of adobe's CS3. 8.0.2 btw. the most recent available from the branch of cs3.

  Yes, you can view and export DPX out of After Effects. You can choose between Cineon and DPX in the dialog box settings Cineon, you can get from the output Module Settings dialog box after you have selected Cineon sequence as the format in the dialog box Settings of output Module .

  Throughout the project, I want learners to be able to access certain documents which can be found on our Intranet.

  I understand that it is possible to create a button with the action open URL that leads to the page where the document is.

  My questions are regarding his return to the project after you open the intranet page via the URL action.

  Normally a Button object interrupts the slide as part of its basic function. However, you can disable this feature. In addition, if slides reading time is really long and the point of pause button is staged a long way in the slide, the user can click the button before the break point has been reached. In these cases, you would still hear the game with slide (assuming that there is no audio).

  The issue here is to ask if the blade is really to continue to play or are you just hear the audio and assuming that it moves only play audio? You can just hear audio slide play while button has the slide paused.

  Captivate 6, it seems a few options to make a pause or stop audio when clicked. I think that these are the new features of version 6. So if you use an earlier version, it may not be a way to cause the audio to pause.

• Advanced actions and effects in CP5.5

  It is theory based only at the moment, but I have a problem with it. In the interest of this scenario lets say there is only 1 slide.

  What would be the best way to use AA to trigger 5 objects on stage on the path to another part of the scene?

  I set myself a conditional action that essentially says

  IF rdinfoCurrentFrame = 60

  THEN apply effect to Motion Path LefttoRight Image_1

  OTHERWISE, continue

  However, this doesn't seem to work at all, and even if she did, I can't change the itinerary of MotionPath.

  I also tried with Rotation 360 basic effects.

  Anyone used previously?

  You can apply effects in advanced actions, but there are a lot of limitations: you can not enter the timings etc.

  My solution is to create exactly the effect I want, then save it as a custom effect and then apply the custom effect. First, you will need to apply this effect to an object, to make it visible in the drop-down list in the dialog box advanced actions.

  You should know that most of the effects of movement are using coordinates, based on the position of the object on the stage. What makes delicate: If you apply a motion effect to go from left to right, it will run correctly the first time. The next effect starts with the current location of the object, so it moves off the slide. I hope that clarifies something.

  I asked, pleading for more functionality when applying effects by advanced actions, but apparently not many users are favorable, whereas up to now nothing has changed

  PS You forgot to answer "why is this option here..." ». Most of the problems are motion effects, the other effecs work well in advanced actions.

• Show/Hide - advanced action buttons and images

  So, I thought I had a handle on usage shares advanced to show/hide, but apparently not.

  Here's the scenario:

  -Screen where the user must select one of the 6 options

  -When the user clicks on one of the 'boxes' of the option a check should appear and audio should play

  -All other "cases" should be disabled to avoid audio duplication

  Here's what I did to try to get this working:

  -' Boxes' are buttons, click on success:

  * Success box contains audio that plays (this works)

  Success of the button execute advanced action:

  > hide all other buttons on the slide (it does not)

  > display an image of a check mark in the "checkbox" which has been clicked (does not work)

  > go to the next slide (works, audio from the success box once completed)

  Thoughts? Help! Thanks in advance!

  I really want to finish this blog post on audio and widgets. Just an idea and will try to be at the time where I found the time to try something. Why don't you attach audio to an initially invisible object that you show with the same advanced action? This object can be a shape with no stroke and a fill alpha of 0% so that it is invisible to the user. You will have time before the sound can play completely before going to the next slide.
