• Object layer options, change all links to IT?

  Hello

  I work in the ID CS5 and I have a document with several dozen of the files linked. They are all built in the same way in artificial intelligence, with 5 layers. I need to print the document for different people, who need different visible layers. Now I had set up the document with all the layers of IA 5 visible but I would like to be able to turn off, say, layer 1 and Layer 2, - according to the public target - for files all linked, and then turn them back on and so forth.

  PS now I'm able to get a menu item that contains "Object layer Options" in direct-clicking on a link and even made a keyboard shortcut for it, but this shortcut does not work when you select multiple graphic blocks, I can't find the menu command anywhere in find/replace.

  We are jewelry, images in PSD format. PSD files have 2 layers, one of the jewels real, one for shadow.

  Operators must place the image, disable the layer background in the Options object layer, duplicate the image, turn in back on and off layer 1 and group 2 images. It is painful and tedious and asked me if there's anything I can script. I did a lot of Quark and Filemaker scripting, but am fairly new for identification.

  Yes, it is scriptable. Assuming that the operator has placed the image, you would duplicate the framework. Then, in each, you would use the "graphic layer options" property of the image to get a reference to the option of the graphic layer, which has graphic layers as components. You can then change the "current visibility' property of the layers.

  So, something like this (untested):

• My alt text applied by object Export Options in InDesign CC tags are not displayed in PDF format

  I am marking my images and adding tags to text in InDesign CC by object Export Options and even add Alt in the structure for my images, but when I bring it in PDF, the image is not labeled in the order of reading and text tags are not displayed. How can I fix that, apart from making the work directly to PDF?

  I solved the problem - discovered that InDesign CC do not mix images of previous versions of InDesign, so took everything in the document and placed into a new document, exported to PDF and all that the tag perfectly!

  N ° when you run the script to random fill, you can only have one setting at a time, one model at a time and one layer at a time. I created a user interface for the script when CS6 is released which allows to break down the filling in different layers, so that you can change the template, but my script does not change the settings.   in previous versions, I could double-click a smart object layer to open it in illustrator. Now, I get an error message:

• How do you add a 3D object in a dynamic 3D object layer?

  Sorry if this is a duplicate. I asked this before, but it seems to have disappeared into the ether...

  I created a layer to smart object 3D with a Cup, handle, coffee and steam, all in the same scene. Later, I created a saucer, but I did it on a normal 3D layer, and not on the smart object layer. I can't understand how to move the saucer in the dynamic 3D object layer, so I can add it to the stage. Copy / paste does nothing and I can't merge the layers.

  I don't know if you can.  You can double-click on of course on the layer to smart object to reopen the 3d layers in Photoshop add the 3d saucer layer then merge the layers 3d, restore their coordinated 3d object then positioning and resizing the parent to another. When record you the dynamic object works the original smart object layer file will be updated by Photoshop and now contain the saucer.

  Work a Photoshop tutorial on an image.  I want to apply the edges of the poster to a smart object layer, but the filters Gallery is greyed out.  Gallery of filters is also grayed out for all other layers in this project.  (PhotoShop CC)

  Please, click on the tab of the image above and choose 16-bit/channel to 8 bits/channel mode.

  Then check if the filters Gallery is always grayed out.

• Object Style options is missing options that exist in the Options of the Export Object

  I noticed that when I select the object Export Options, there are more options available than in the object (InDesign CC 2014, Build 10.0.0.70) Style of Options. In particular, I am interested on the options for custom CSS width and height. It would be much easier to create an object style with custom CSS width and height values that define the same setting for each object separately. Any reason why this is so? I don't know no personal Adobe following these forums but I hope they see this gap in their product.

  Thank you for your contributions. Actually implement this feature we were bit confused if it is more important to have these options in the object Styles. This is why you are missing here.

  But comments from you and a few other people, made us realize that we should have it in object styles too.

  The NEF file embeeded in the parent document is not affected by resizing the parent - you can still export it, and it still retains its full quality.

  If anyone knows an easy way to access the Options of the Export Object in the menu object in InDesign using a script?

  Specifically, we currently have a script with a dialogue that adds images alt text in a document and has other features which are almost identical to the functionality of the InDesign object export Options, but with slight differences.  We strive synchronize so that when a user adds an alternative through our dialogue with our script text, the text will be automatically changed specifically as customary in the Options of the Export Object.

• Can I have 'Don't print' layer option?

  I have a lot of animals which is not intended for printing as text to generate the table of contents only not to print. What I do now, it's put on a layer "not for printing" and hide the prior agreement of primer. It would be nice if I can just mark this layer with the option 'don't print' and I can't remember hidding before printing.

  Right-click on the layer in the layers panel, choose "Layer Options" and uncheck the box 'print '.

• Bug or feature: opacity and blend-if values wiped out when convert to smart object layer

  I had unexpected results in an action that I put in place. As I was browsing through, I found that the conversion of a smart object layer reset the opacity to 100% and removed everything if mixture adjustments, if the blending mode has been retained. This is certainly an unexpected effect - is this a bug?

  Dynamic objects are always created at 100% and wipe any other mixture, mixture still exists within the object itself. It is the most logical way and reasonable so that it works - you will realize this if you think that it is through. Blend modes are however sometimes copied the layer source or group, it is possible and it is a kind of shortcut.

  To get the original mix in the smart object layer - open the smart object, do a right click on the layer with the bending choose 'copy layer style correct. " Now return to your master document, you can 'paste layer style' in the smart object layer.
