• Objects appearing in the background for new blank slides?

  Hi all

  I am currently working on a project of creation of training courses for staff on Adobe® Captivate® 5. On the last lesson of training, I was working, the creation of empty slide seems to be defective. Whenever I try to insert a blank slide, it is with the other slides objects stuck in the background. I can't manually select or remove objects. Thinking it could be something to do with Master slides, I took a peek at it too and the available Master slides are all empty themselves, with no items. Even spend the slides with a malfunction to a slide master setting does nothing for the appearance of these objects on my empty slides. Any ideas of what could be the cause?

  Most likely the slides containing the objects you see are placed higher in the correct order of the slide?

  Find these slides and check the settings of synchronization for the objects that are appearing in the slides later.  It is possible that these objects were set to appear for the rest of the project rather than the rest of the slide or specific time.

  What you can do, it's the object _visible property allows you to appear and disappear, or more correctly, use the _visible property opoosite.  You should not put the code 'on' objects, keep it in the timeline.

  If the 'object' is the name of the instance of the object you want to fail over, and then in the code to the timeline you can use...

  Object._visible = false;  First, the object is invisible

  yourButtonName.onRelease = function() {}

  Object._visible =! object._visible;

  }

  Only one line in the function sets _visible to be opposite of what it currently is.

  It is a case where I don't know where to start.  I could easily place some fields around on the page that are 'hidden' by default and become 'visible', if the option is selected, but my guess is that it's a clumsy way of going about it.

  If there were only a few items I would change ownership of the presence of each object individually. If all objects have the same property of presence, so I put them in a subform and just change the presence of the subform.

I have some objects multi-state containing buttons (to change the State on - click a grade side is that a less frustrating way to do this?) that are supposed to appear behind other objects.   I have a .gif Photo file stretching on as an animation in Photoshop. I also have a transparent logo I can put on the first frame of the animation, but I want to be seen on all frames of the animation. Is - there anyway do it in a short period of time? I'm fairly new to Photoshop and Yes.

  Once you have your glasses to your gif, turn on the "new layers Visible in all settings." Then add your logo.

  Just prepare a direct employment to customer preview tomorrow and AE threw me a curve ball.

  I have an object able to evolve from about 200% 70% about and it changes position at the same time. On a lower layer there are a blur value of the camera that is changing. So nothing too taxing, I got thing. When I render - scaling the object appears at the top and bottom and seems twinkle big and small for some images. I tried to make it again, but more or less the same thing is happening.

  No idea what this could be - someone met before?

  Purge the cache using the edition > Purge of orders. Also purge the cache to disk.

  Make sure that you have installed the latest updates ( http://adobe.ly/lsrkmJ ). They solve many problems.

• How to display the object selected in the current view?

  I have a file in illustrator with hundreds of layers and objects. If I select an object for targeting in the layers panel, is it possible that I can get the items to display in the center of the workspace. I currently have zoom and pan the document to see the object.

  Similarly, if I select an object in the document, is there a way to have this object appear in the center of the layers panel? I have currently to scroll the layers panel to find the parent layer and then down through the layers of the child until I found my selected object.

  Are you using FileVault? If so, you need to allow other users unlock the screen. Or turn off FileVault.

  You use a desktop or laptop computer?

  Is the mouse a mouse wired or wireless?

  What is the brand and model of the computer and the mouse?

  If you are using a laptop, I suggest to change the sensitivity of the mouse pad.

  If this is a wireless mouse it might be interference from another close to the mouse. Make sure that speech recognition is not enabled.

• Trying to hide a column but the header reappear on the following pages

  Here is my little problem, I have a table, a bit normal. What I try to do is the following:

  I wish I could hide a full column based on the data. I was actually able to hide a column, but my problem is that when the table breaks into a second page, "header cell" on the second page of the column I hid reappear.

  Here's how I did my stash:

  -In table Initialize script, I check a condition, and if this condition is met, I'm hiding the header cell.

  -For normal lines, I always check the same exact condition and if the condition is met, I hide the cell.

  Are you able to change the width of your columns?

  This is the last trip, I did:

  You must first, double-click the rule to open the palettes of drawing AIDS (or go into the top-> palettes-> drawing AIDS menu) and set the units to Points.

  You need tables and a structure, a table which will show real information and a structure that will be imported into your program with the correct width (column DialogResult.Cancel will have a value of 0.001 in the structure). The structure is hidden in the page layout.

  In your table initialize script, write something like this:

  Explanation: You concatenate each rawValue of your table that contains the width of your columns with "pt" (the unit), in this way, you can set the widths of all columns in a single command (Table.columnWidths = width).

  This should resize the entire column, including the header. (It works on my side)

  I am new to Adobe Livecycle Designer (version 8.0). I created an interactive pdf form of 3 pages with many objects (text fields, radio buttons, drop-down lists, etc.), our company wants to quickly start to use.

  I'm having trouble with some of my Javascript does not not with some of my items on page 2 of the form. Specifically, there is a drop down menu to "Country" on page 2 of my form. When the user selects, for example, 'United States' in the list, I have the Javascript code that is supposed to change the 'currency' list drop-down to "Dollars" rawValue accordingly (on the change event).

  I think that my Javascript syntax is correct, but I am not sure. Here's my simple Javascript associated with the "Country" drop-down list (Note: rawValue 80 = 'United States' and 105 rawValue = "US $"):

  It sounds pretty simple and it WORKS when my "Country" drop-down list is moved to page 1 of the form, but it WON'T WORK when I move the combo box "Country" return to page 2 of the form (i.e. where it belongs).

  Anyone has suggestions or solutions? I spent probably 6-8 hours of racking my brain trying to figure out why it works when on a single page, but it does not work when to move to another page. I guess I can have corrupted something OR that I not address fully the proper name of the object?

  Yes, it's a quirk of... in the drop-down lists when you select an item in the DOF it is not committed until you exit the field, unless you do the following:

  If (this.boundItem (xfa.event.newText) == 1) {}

  cmbCurrency.rawValue = 1;

  }

  ElseIf (this.boundItem (xfa.event.newText) == 2) {}

  cmbCurrency.rawValue = 2;

  }

  The xfa.resolveNode stuff was not necessary that both objects are of the same subform, and as such can 'see' each other.

  Think like a folder structure subforms - elements can see what is in their own folder but will say where to find things in other folders. If cmbCountry was subform1 and cmbCurrency was so in subform2 that rawValue above lines would look like:

  subform2.cmbCurrency.RawValue = 1;

  It's a good idea to name all your objects, subforms, etc. it is to work with script is much easier - so you won't have to deal with things like these pieces of xfa.resolveNode you had before (as well). He ones because you have more than one subform called "subform", the number of hooks is the Instance number (when you have several of the same object) if the program has to differentiate between the various "subform".
