THIS ANSWER ORIGINAIREMENT GIVE below WAS INCORRECT: (I misread the question, I answered 10g OCP - > 11g OCP not OCA 10g-> 11g OCA)
+ Yes. Exam 1z0-050.  GoTo [http://www.oracle.com/education/certification]... certifications... pass my certification and go down from there. +

THE ANSWER IN MY OPINION IS:

Take 1z0-042 1z0-050 and presented and had checked a course of training approved 10 g +.
OR
Take 1z0-052 1z0-053 and presented and had checked 11 g approved training courses (assuming that a review SQL has been sent. +)

OCP in MySQL does not require a class of $3000 - $5000. In any case, is to have these two redundant certifications? They are two completely separate RDBMS platforms with different capabilities, orders, etc. (although both use ANSI SQL).  Learn how to use Oracle does not teach you to use MySQL and vice versa. Once you know, learn that the other will be easier, simply because you will be more familiar with the basics of a RDBMS.  However, the details are not the same.

  • OCP IZ0-043

I want to spend the IZO-043 10 g II Admin to earn the credentials of OCP, I am an OCA IZ0 - 042 10g, to win the OCA I had no training for IZ0 - 043 should I follow formal training before or after the exam to be an OCP? If Yes, then where I can take training for this IZ0-043 which would be cheaper. I'm Australia, Melbourne. As although I want to be OCP 11g Release 2, because I am for 10g OCA, if I can take the exam for IZ0-043 Admin II for 11g release 2, although I OCA 10 g, how can I do?

for IZ0 - 043 should I have to follow a formal training before or after the exam to be an OCP

It does not matter. You can take the required training and test any order. You will not receive an OCP until you have passed the test and your course material was presented and verified by Oracle.

where can I take training for this IZ0-043 which would be cheaper.

From the link Justin gave you in your previous thread (https://workforce.oracle.com/pls/wdp_ekit/new_home.main), I searched for all authorized training in Australia partners. There are only two. Visit their websites to see what they offer and what is cheaper.

So, I want to be OCP 11g Release 2, because I'm OCA 10 g, can I take the exam for IZ0-043 Admin II for 11g release 2.
    Although I OCA 10 g, how can I do?

Once you have an OCP 10 g, you can take a test to upgrade to 11G certified as well. This number of tests is 1Z0-050 (Oracle Database 11g: new features for administrators). Once you have the 10 G OCP, no additional training is needed for upgrade to 11G - just the test.

    Hi all

I plan to write 153 (11g DBA2) in the coming months and had a question about the mandatory cource that must be taken and submitted as complete OCP.

Is it ok if we take the s/n-1 for 10g courses and give OCP? Is it considered to be end of the road for 11g OCP? I know wise syllabus, they are very far away, but I'm already working on admin 11g and just need of course to complement the OCP.

So, I have two other question here...
I already did with 11g OCA.

    1 > I can OCP 10g 11g OCA 1Z0-043 + training workshop-1 s/n?

My understanding of this is that you are not... you would need 1z0-042 as well.

2 > DBA Workshop-1 is Ok to complete the required course of OCP.

A really nervous when people abreviate a course name (and I really hate to get things... "I have something else to do).

It should be well defined here:

However, if you take the course through a WDP/o provider (and not live with Oracle University) then make very sure you could is approved and the provider is authorized to give it.

    Thanks again!

  • Books for 1Z0-047 and 1Z0-144

    Hi all

I intend to study for certification "Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate. I was intending to prepare for 1Z0 - 047 and 1Z0-144, as both of these reviews are validated based on Oracle Database 11 g.

I was wondering if one of the guys here can help me with the couple of questions I have.

    1. that we recommend among the two exams below?

    1Z0-047 (Oracle database SQL Expert)
    or
    1Z0-051 (Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I)

    2. what books should I refer to 1Z0-047 and 1Z0-144? I read a lot of threads on this topic. But, I haven't found a good answer yet, that's why I'm writing this question again.

For 1Z0-047, I've seen people recommend the following:
OCA Oracle database SQL Expert corrected: exam 1Z0-047 (Osborne Oracle Press series) by Steve O'Hearn
OCA Oracle Database 11g SQL Fundamentals I corrected: exam 1Z0-051 (Osborne ORACLE press series) by John Watson and Danielle Ramklass

1Z0-144 for, I've seen people recommend the following:
Oracle PL/SQL programming: Versions of covers by Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 (Animal Guide) with Steven Feuerstein, Bill Pribyl
OCP developer PL/SQL program units corrected by Steve O'Hearn

I ask you guys to help me because I don't have an idea on these books. It would be really great if someone who has passed the examinations or read these books shed some light on these.

    Thanks in advance.

I expect the review Expert SQL to be stronger, more need SQL knowledge, but if it was my choice, I seek the Oracle Press book you mentioned everything first and go to the Expert SQL exam. The nice thing about that is that you get the cert SQL Expert on this one review.

Preparation for the next review would be more difficult, because there is no easy choice for a book. Feuerstein's book is good to have, but is big enough and not particularly focused on the content of any review. I called when he was studying in the review of PL/SQL, 1z0-146, but only that I found the relevant content to the object that Oracle posted about it. I also used the PL/SQL book you mentioned by Steve O'Hearn (I could borrow through interlibrary loan), which has also been helpful, but the same idea applies, that is, you might find some useful stuff in here...

The best thing to do in such cases is to use the object posted by Oracle for the review and go to the Oracle documentation. Really, you find that it is better than the springs for a book that is perhaps not so relevant in such cases.

There are two powers of OCA exam 1Z0-061 - Oracle Database 12 c Certified Associate Administrator and Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate-associated.  Both are part of a two-exam track which includes 1Z0 - 061.  1Z0 - 061 through itself does not win a proof of the OCA.  For the way s/n, you must also pass 1Z0-062.  For the track of PL/SQL, you would also pass 1Z0-144.

In other words, the process of winning either of the OCAs is:

Study for exam 1-> review of Appendix 1-> Pass exam 1-> study for exam 2-> review of Appendix 2-> Pass review 2

After that, Oracle you will receive confirmation of your new credentials in the next few days.

I quote this McGraw Hill OCA Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I corrected (1Z0-051) page 116 Chapter 3: restrictive and sorting of data. From what I read, this book suggests that 'Z' precedes 'King '. So if I have a table of EMPLOYEES of a "Name" column, and we assume that there are two lines: 'Z' and 'King', then the query

    Select last_name from employee

return 1 row-> 'Z' where this is not the case when I tried. Can someone clarify this issue? Am I missing sometthing? Thank you

The bit you quoted is total garbage - but when I did a search on Google for the first few words in the paragraph I found a link to the pages of errata mhprofessional where the following correction appears:

      Assuming a
Characters in the set US7ASCII database NLS AMERICAN settings, the literal 'King' is
      converted to its ordinal character values: K + i + n + g = (75 + 105 + 110 + 103).
For each row in the EMPLOYEES table, the LAST_NAME column data are similarly
converted into digital values for each character, which are then compared in turn
with the numeric values of the characters in the literal 'King '. For example,.
the line with name = "Kaufling" is compared as follows: the first character of
the two strings is 'K' with an ordinal value of 75. If the second character (I = 105) is
      compared to (a = 97). Since (97< 105)="" or="" (a="">< i),="" 'kaufling'="">< 'king'="" and="" the="">
      is selected. »

The idea of "add" the values of character is stupid and should have been completely deleted in the correction. The description of the comparison of each character in turn is most appropriate.

For the various Certification paths/tracks offered by Oracle, is it an official URL that indicates how long the certifications are good for and the process to obtain a new certification? And for more coverage more than scope-> more Beefy/more thick certifications get you automatically an OCA? IE: If you get an OCP, have you considered OCA?

Generally, the certifications expire. They are usually related to a particular version, however. So once you have become an OCP to Oracle 7, you should always be an Oracle 7 OCP. You must take one or more upgrade exams to get the Oracle 8 OCP (OCP 8i or 9i, 10g OCP, OCP 11g OCP, etc..)
