ODI - Hyperion Essbase - loading data

Hello

There is an option to run a calc script after a data loaded so that you can AGG period etc.   What running a until the data load to ERASE the period that you load?  Or you create another load of 'dummy' data and clear after a load and then run your data load and running the AGG?  I was wondering if there is a way to add an option for the KM, a little like the 'ORDER_BY '.

Thank you

You can create a set of interface of the RUN_CALC_SCRIPT_ONLY option to yes.

See you soon

  • ODI error when loading data from Oracle to Essbase

Hello and happy new year to everyone!

I can't load some data from an Oracle table to an Essbase database. The Oracle table has all the members of the Essbase database, columns, and in addition, it has a column for data.

I use the IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA) as IKM and I can't choose a LKM in the dropdown, but I imported the LKM SQL to SQL.

    I'll wait for any help.

    Thank you!

First of all, I would highly recommend the upgrade because there were a few bugs with the adapters of Hyperion.
If you set MAXIMUM_ERRORS_ALLOWED to 0 it will be infinite, so it will not stop because of rejected records.

Once you assign to LOG_ENABLED and LOG_ERRORS Yes
then you LOG_FILENAME together and ERROR_LOG_FILENAME, put them in a known example location c:\temp on windows.

    Ok?

    See you soon

  • ODI and Essbase: loading of the connection, Reverse Engineering,.

Hi, please heeeeeeeelp me to understand how to connect to Essbase, reverse and load data from a file.

I work with ODI and Essbase for the first time. I read ODI documentationbut he did ' t help.

    I have ODI 10.1.3.4.0
    I have Hyperion and Essbase

ODI, my client ODI and Essbase server are located on different servers.

    I have a working directory.
In the 'topology manager' in "Physical Architecture" under the "Hyperion Essbase", I created "Data Server" and on the definition tab, I did 'Name', 'Server' (with port), 'User', 'Password '.
I have nothing in the JDBC tab.

In the physical schema in the definition tab, I did: "Request (catalogue)', 'database (schema)", "Request (catalog of the work)" (the same as the first), "Database (scheme of work)" (the same as the second).
In the 'Background' tab, I insert a new row and chose the 'context' tha I had created before, and type a new logical schema("").
(When I was creating the context I just filled the 'Name' and 'Code' context (automatically))

Then I want to reverse the data of the engineer.
I opened the ODI Designer, created a new model: Definition tab: 'Technology' = Hyperion Essbase, "Logical Schema" = My_Hyperion_logic_schema
    Reverse tab: 'Context' = My_Hyperion_context

When I try to reverse engineer in the opposite selective tab I get following error:

  • ODI - 1228:Task Load Data - LKM File to SQL-fails on the connection target: table or view does not exist

While performing a mapping (present in the package) that loads the file to table data, my mapping is being failed in the step - LKM file with above mentioned SQL error.

This task is running for 30 candy Mint and loading data about 30 to 40 million for the temporary table of C$ ODI.

Before the completion of the task is to make failure and also C$ table is also get deleted.

Any possible resolution for above mentioned the issue?

    Problems have been solved.

In our case, the prefix of all the data store name has been SRC_ so the nickname of all the data store became SRC, and the table name C$ depends on the daatastore Alias.

So for executing two mapping tables $ CAN have been getting dropped by other mapping due to the same table name $ CAN.

Change the Alias name giving it a unique name solve the problem.

  • ASO Essbase - loading data to overwrite the existing values

I'm support ASO but does not know how he would "Overwrite the existing values" correctly.  I want it to work as BSO "crush."  Need help please, I am a newbie to ASO :(

    change the ASOAPP database. ASODB load_buffer to initialize with values of substitution of resource_usage 0.15 buffer_id 1 create slice;

    Thank you

Which only Initializes the buffer, it does not load anything (as I imagine you know, KKT).  Just to be the opposite, I would say the MaxL may be harder but gives you a better idea on how loading to ASO that the use of the Regional service.

To the OP, you are mixing two different command syntax.  'Substitution values' and 'create a group' syntax is part of the import , not the alter statement.

Suggest you read this article of technical reference: loading data using pads

Using tampons complicates slightly reproducing the behavior "crush."  You can choose multiple values loaded at the same intersection crash in the buffer zone, or in committing the buffer for the cube (or both).  BSO is not this distinction.  The substitution values clause controls what happens when the buffer is enabled for the cube, but by default multiple values at the same intersection in loading the buffer still the sum.  You can control what is happening to several values, hitting the same intersection in the buffer to aggregate_use_last / aggregate_sum buffer options in the alter statement.

  • ODI Error cannot load data

    Hi friends,

I am new to ODI Tech I need your help to solve the following problem:

My source a - 6 rows of data
My goal is - no line.

source and target texts are oracle, and I used Ikm: sql for oracle and IKM: added incremental update of oracle and sql command
but it was still impossible to load the data.

In the window of the operator, I was able to show that the data has been loaded. -in step 3.
But to step 6 - integration - insert new lines indicating the error.

    Error return code: 4098
Message: ora-04098: trigger is invalid and has no revalidation.

Similarly, when I tried to enter the data into the database target manually by writing queries using Toad. He showed the same error for me.

The question is with ODI or Oracle database?

Is there a method to solve the problem? How to manage triggers in ODI?

    Thanks in advance,
    Raj.

    Raj,

It is strictly a matter of database and nothing that ODI can do about it. This error of trigger of search in a search engine and try to find in your data base why relaxation is not valid.

  • ODI - SQL for Hyperion Essbase data loading

    Hello

We have created a 'vision' in SQL Server that contains our data.  The view currently has every year and periods of Jan 2011 to present.  Each period is about 300 000 records.  I want to only load one period at a time.  For example may 2013.  Currently we use ODBC through a rule of data loading, but the customer wants to use ODI to be compatible with the versions of dimension metadata.  Here's the SQL on the view that works very well.   Is there a way I can run this SQL in the ODI Interface so it pulls only what I declare in the Where clause?  If yes where can I do it?

    Select

CATEGORY, YEAR, LOCATION, SCRIPT, DEPT, PROJECT, EXPCODE, TIME, ACCOUNT, AMOUNT

    Of

    PS_LHI_HYP_PRJ_ACT

    Where

    YEAR > = "2013" AND PERIOD = 'MAY '.

    ORDER BY CATEGORY ASC ASC FISCAL_YEAR, LOCATION ASC, ASC, ASC, ASC, ASC, PERIOD EXPCODE PROJECT DEPT SCENARIO CSA ACCOUNT CSA;

    Hello

Simply use the following KM to load data - IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA) - in an ODI interface that has the view that you created the Source model. You can add filters to the source which are dynamically by ODI variables to create the Where clause based on the month and year. Make sure you only specify a rule of load method to load the data into the KM

  • ODI 11 g to load data to Hyperion - error ODI-1228

    Hi friends,

I'm using ODI 11 g to load the data for Hyperion Essbase using the "memory Sunopsis Staging Area table engine', I several created interfaces, but some have failed at the third stage of the process '3 - Carga - SrcSet0 - Load data'.

Number of interfaces I created worked without problems by using the same configuration, topology, and KM, I thought that the problem was created by the file this extraction I´m. Ce file failed in other interfaces, but if I dupplicate the last line of the file (copy and paste at the end) interfaces for the file is complete.

After the first appearance of the error, I created other interfaces, most of them works without problem, but a couple of them generates exactly the same error as one explained using different files.

    I use:

    ODI 11 g 11.1.1.5.2.

IKM: IKM: IKM SQLto Hyperion Essbase (DATA).

    HSQLDB: Version 2.0.0.

    Essbase: 11.1.2.1.

  • Loading data to Essbase with ODI rules file

    Hi all

I need to load the flat file DATA (no metadata) or an Oracle table in to ESSBASE using ODI.

Where can I find an example or a tutorial on the loading procedure.
I have not have how to use ODI with a rules file:

    (1) in the standard rule file I can insert a transformation (join, split ecc.) can be used
a rule like this in ODI file?

    (2) if I put the file of IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA) rules I have to manually set the mapping
between the source and target? the mapping is not set in the rule file?

    (3) can I use both the type of rules (flat file or SQL) file?

Thanks a lot for your help!

If you go to the next page in my blog, you should see a link to all the different posts around ODI and hyperion knowledge modules - http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2011/08/odi-series-summary.html

In ODI, you can do all the transformations, the rule of the load is really used to optimize the process of loading the data.
You must configure your interface with source and target mapping, and then create a rule to load that corresponds to the mapping of the target.
You can use any type of source.

    Hello

What ODI and patch version you are running.
Looks like you are using a KM newer than the java files that are located in the oracledi\drivers directory, I would say that you need to update the files java essbase for a newer version.
In the last few patch releases memory size buffer has been added to the data load essbase KM for the use of the ASO, even if this meant you had to also update the java files as well as in the version.

    Hello

You say that you are loading, but you chose the KM for the loading of metadata?
If you load metadata then you must provide a rules file, if you are loading and then choose the KM - IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA)

    Ok?

  • Cannot load data into Essbase using ODI

    Hi guys,.

Help help. I have problem loading data into essbase using ODI. The error message is
java.sql.SQLException: unexpected token: ACCOUNT in the statement [select C1_ACCOUNT "" account]

I have a very simple flat file that are similar to the below:

    Account, resources, time, data
    Active, Na_Resource, Jan, 10
    Active, Na_Resource, 12, February

With the same flat files, I am able to load data to load rules.

I use 9.3.1.0 and ODI 10.1.3.4.0 essbase. I use the ODI to load members and data in the planning without any problem.

    Thank you

    Hello

It seems to generate an extra set of quotation marks around the SQL, in my interface it generates.

    SQL = "" "select C1_ACCOUNT 'Account', C2_PERIOD 'Period', C3_RESOURCE 'Resource', C4_DATA 'Data' of the" C$ _0TestApp_testData "where (1 = 1) «»

Note the single quotes around the account.

If you go to the topology Manager, on the tab of the physical architecture, right-click 'Hyperion Planning' > 'change '.
Select the "Langugage" tab for the "JYTHON" line, make sure that the "Object Delimiter" field has no quotes, if it's remove and apply and save.

    See you soon
