ODI odi 64 32 components reuse

the manual says odi 64-bit cannot be developed using compontes in 32 bits 64-bit odi

My question is

the components are interfaces, models, actors, etc. ?

Thank you

can you if you please provide the link where you saw it.

I do not see Tablefunctions, pivot, unpivot operators in the components of the Assembly a mapping working with ODI 12 c.

I downloaded the latest version of ODI 12 c and I don't see newcomers tablefunction, pivot and operator nupivot lso compenentes when editing a mapping.

Supposedly, I have installed the patch:

  • Cannot use analytical functions such as lag/lead in odi components 12 c except in the expression

    Hi I am a beginner of ODI 12 c

I'm trying to get the last two comments made on the product for a given product id. and load them into a target.

I have a source table something like

    Product SR_NO comments LAST_UPDATED_TS

    1 good car 2015/05/15 08:30:25

    1 car average 2015/05/15 10:30:25

    Jeep 2 super 2015/05/15 11:30:25

    1 car bad 2015/05/15 11:30:25

    Jeep 2 horrible 2015/05/15 09:30:25

    Jeep 2 excellent 2015/05/15 12:30:25

I want a target table based on their last timestamp updated as (last two comments)

    SR_NO Comment1 Comment2

    1                             bad                      average

    2 super excellent

I used the logic below to get records in SQL Developer but in ODI 12 c, I'm not able to do this by mapping a source to the target table by applying analytical functions to the columns in the target table. Can someone help me solve this problem

    SELECT * FROM)

    SELECT SR_NO Comment1, LAG(Comment1,1,) ON Comment2 (SR_NO ORDER BY LAST_UPDATED_TS ASC PARTITION),

ROW_NUMBER() ON RN (SCORE FROM SR_NO ORDER BY LAST_UPDATED_TS DESC)

    FROM Source_table

    ) M

    WHERE RN = 1

    ;

UM, I'm afraid that ODI puts the filter too early in the request, if it generates:

    SELECT * FROM)

    SELECT SR_NO Comment1, LAG(Comment1,1,) ON Comment2 (SR_NO ORDER BY LAST_UPDATED_TS ASC PARTITION),

ROW_NUMBER() ON RN (SCORE FROM SR_NO ORDER BY LAST_UPDATED_TS DESC)

    FROM Source_table

    WHERE RN = 1

    ) M

    ;

    Instead of:

    SELECT * FROM)

    SELECT SR_NO Comment1, LAG(Comment1,1,) ON Comment2 (SR_NO ORDER BY LAST_UPDATED_TS ASC PARTITION),

ROW_NUMBER() ON RN (SCORE FROM SR_NO ORDER BY LAST_UPDATED_TS DESC)

    FROM Source_table

    ) M

    WHERE RN = 1

    ;

Even by changing the 'run on Hint"of your component of the expression to get there on the source, the request will stay the same.

I think the easiest solution for you is to put everything before the filter in a reusable mapping with a signature of output. Then drag this reusable in your mapping as the new source and check the box "subselect enabled."

Your final mapping should look like this:

    It will be useful.

  • ODI 10 g for 11g repository upgrade: problem while reusing the schema

    Hello

I've successfully upgraded repository from 10g to 11g using AU.  To account for changes in the repository of 10g, we need to drop the repository 11g existing and re-implementation to date the initial 10 g repository.

I truncated patterns of upgrade to 11g (repo master and work) in the database and copied the contents of 10g in empty schemes.

But while trying to update the diagrams using AU, the AU is to show that the scheme of the ODI is already updated!

It seems that AU is looking at some papers from previous update.

Is it possible to identify / modify the previous update connects so that I can use the same details of schema in AU and upgrade again.

    Kind regards

    Saby

    Hi Debbie,

I think you can delete these records from the SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY table.

You will find this under SYSTEM account table in your database 11g.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

    Santy.

  • ODI 12 c how to create the table without number (38.0)

    Hi gurus of ODI.

    I got following problem:

I have a copy 1:1 with the addition of metadata and a delta on the side to find target. When I look into the target in several numeric columns, the values are truncated, I lose precision.

What ODI research I found the problem to the work table.

All affected columns are defined as number without giving any precision or scale, in the target as well as the source.

When I ran the simulation to see what ODI I noticed that, in the creation of the work table statement ODI number is used (38.0) for all numeric columns where no precision is explicitly given.

It is so clear when ODI loads the data from the source to the working table the values of the numeric columns are truncated.

My Question now is, how do I know ODI is not to use the number (38.0), but simply of number for the numeric columns with no details given when a work table is created?

I know I could explicitly give precision and scale for each column of numreic, but it would be a lot of work and for some of the columns the precision required is not known, then that would be the worst Option.

    Thanks for the help

    Martin

I found myself where was the problem, then I write the answer, while others may find it here:

    The mapping was

    Source--> Filter--> Expression--> Join--> target.

    The join joins anothher Table.

In the target, the instructions for completing the columns have been Expression.ColumnName

I changed it to be Source.ColumnName

The Knowledgemodules delivered with ODI treat different columns depending on how they are.

In the creation of the work table, firstly everything all computed columns in the Expression or read from the expression by other components, including targets. It then uses the presission and scale in the component expression with number (38.0) by default if it is explicitly given. Items but which are directly read from somewhere before the expression are also saved in the work table, it ODI use the scale and precision holding of the source - and when the Source's number without taking into account the precision and the scale he uses just number.

  • ODI Installation questions _ 11.1.1.7

    Hello

While installing ODI Version 11.1.1.7 version of Windows Server 2012, has a few problems:

    (1) Got op - ups such as below; However, I took over ignoring and installation completed successfully.

Don't know what these files are intended to be? I downloaded the Version of delivery but do not know why they are absent; Are really required for a complete Installation ODI?

    (2) I selected under installation options

Installation of the Developer (Studio (with a Local Agent) ODI, ODI SDK

    Standard installation (ODI Standalone Agent)

The question, I got here is that the ODI Agent does not work and more I didn't know the FOLDER Structure of the AGENT under the Oracledi folder. I also found OraclParams.bat file.

Can you advise why this is different from the ODI 11.1.1.5 version please?

    (3) also, when I test the ODI_Agent; getitng the below error:

Caused by: ODI-1424: Agent Host or port can be reached using the HTTP://Server:20910 / oraclediagent .

Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: connection refused: connect

Is it because of the PORT problem?

  • Install the new FDMEE 11.1.2.4 - ODI Agent does not start

After the installation and configuration of EMP 11.1.2.4, components (including the FDMEE) on a Windows 2008 (single-server installation), I ran diagnosis of EPM system and found the only test that failed was to the Agent of ODI.

ODI Agent availability check: http://server1:6550 / oraclediagent

Error: com.hyperion.cis.utils.BadResponseCodeException: bad response with the GET method code: 404

Recommended action: check the application of the FDM Enterprise Edition is started and the database schemas exist.

FDMEE and all the other components of the EMP seem to work and open in the workspace.  The only problem is that ODI Agent will not start.  Re-installation and configuration of FDMEE has not fixed this problem.  I also tried to start manually in the WebLogic administration server, but it has not started and I found the following error in ErpIntegrator0.log.

During my research of these errors, I found results indicating the problem could be related to multiple NIC cards or enforceable, but I don't know if this is the reason of my problem and how to check it.  Any help would be appreciated!

In your case, it seems that the list of the WKA is formed using the IP 127.0.0.1 loopback address but consistency has bound to the IP address of 10 points. Finally, make sure that they match so that ODI Agent can start, but given that it's a DHCP box you well then that tends to add another layer of complication.

What we tend to do in support with DHCP boxes to avoid problems with name resolution is to simulate a static IP address by adding a loopback adapter (google, you can add a loopback adapter Server 2008 for instructions) with a static IP address (I often use smth like setting IPv4 10.10.10.10 (, netmask 255.255.255.0 & no gateway) then add an entry to the hosts file to map the IP address for the host name of the host name for example, 10.10.10.10

You must make sure that the host name resolution works as expected in Java according to this link as well (which I think is why we go to the "loopback hack" first place in support): https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/epm_install/frameset.htm?ch06s02s01.html

I would start by looping config tbh as I remember seeing someone with a box of AWS, earlier when helping a colleague where host name resolution was not working with that tool and they had problems with the Agent of ODI.

  • ODI can be replaced with FDMEE?

    Hello

I was just wondering, ODI can be replaced with FDMEE?

These are the questions I want clarification on:

can 1 - use ODI to achieve the upload of a file basis as done by FDMQ? I think it's possible.

2 can we achieve break through the ability of the ERPI with our custom application and ODI? I think it will be much difficult.

3 is it wise to replace FDMEE by ODI and customization?

    4. any idea of license? is expensive ODI or FDMEE?

    Appreciate your help guys.
    Concerning

    Hello

I'll answer your questions, but you need to understand is that FDMEE is built at the top of the ODI and relies on it to make its charges of data etc. It offers is a user-friendly interface and a lot of value-added features like that out of the box auditing, reporting, Pierce back capabilities and an extremely powerful and accessible mapping engine. If your target applications are part of the entire Oracle Hyperion product, then FDMEE would be the wise choice for loading the data. ODI is a business integration tool that can move data between heterogeneous technologies. It provides templates of code in the form of its knowledge Modules that support different, but integration strategies in general, we must still build all streams integration of a set of components, nothing came out of the box. Compared to FDMEE it requires more technical knowledge and is not very accessible to your users of the average company in its pure form.

    (1) Yes you do.

    (2) Yes, in theory, but it would be a customization that requires a bit of work. Why would you re - invent the wheel when you have one output of the solution of vbox offering these features and much more?

    (3) it depends entirely on your needs, but for target of Hyperion applications, for most integration strategies I would say certainly not.

    (4) the licensing models are different. I'm no expert on licensing, but I think that FDMEE is user based licenses while ODI is licensed per processor on staging database technology. Better check with your friendly Oracle for details sales representative.

    Please advice

    Thank you

It is clear from the content of the xml file, you have given here. In this xml file, you have four type of complex. Two of them are employed and address. However the employee doesnot has nothing to do with the address that you have not added the relationship. That is why its failure. This isn't the fault of the ODI.

Also I suggest not to use self-generated by ODI dtd that you might face problem in the future. For example, the address of XML type has 8 attributes, and 4 of them are not mandatory. This means that each of your xml file may have attributes between 4 and 8.  That's where ODI auto generated DTD fails.

    ComplexType element XML schema

    Thank you

  • ODI installed with FDMEE 11.1.2.4 path

I installed FDMEE 11.1.2.4. I want to access the ODI installation location. Anyone can refer to the ODI installation location.

    Concerning

    Hi JanGLi,

ODI is installed in C:\Oracle\Middleware\odi for FDMEE, but to access the ODI console that is deployed on the successful FDMEE Weblogic Server, you must go to http://server:19000 / odiconsole. If you must use designer components but then you must install ODI 11.1.1.7 Studio.

  • Setup error Apps BI INST-07515 [Java EE officer, ODI Console]

I'm trying to configure applications of OB and I get the following error no step 5 of 9

INST-07515: [Java EE officer, ODI Console]

-Install the required components of ODI: [Java EE officer, ODI Console]

At the beginning I had not installed the java components.  Then, I upgraded the home ODI with the Java EE Agent and Console ODI, but I still get this error.

I'd love help, that you can provide.

Had to reinstall everything from scratch.  To reconfigure applications OB does not help.  Must be a complete reinstallation.
